Black is the absence of light. So there for it is the absence of colour.

White is all colours, that is why it refracts into a rainbow.

Also, if the Wallabies jersey was actually gold (ie. shiney) that would look pretty gay, read yellow shiney leather. But it doesn't matter cos we flogged the Irish

So I guess ORANGE is not a colour either because it's a fruit (try telling that to an XR5 owner).

Silver is a colour - it is the colour of silver

Orange is a colour - it is not made of oranges - it is the colour of oranges

question: how do you properly define 'colour' ?

because silver is a colour if u consider everything you see to be the reflection or absorption of a particular wave length of energy of a certain substate :P

what u see on chrome is like a mirror effect, where 99.99% of waves of light are reflected around a certain shape so you can still see what youre looking at

btw.. im right ha ha ha ..

The only true colours from a paint perspective are white, blue, red and yellow.

Black is a shade derived from blue, orange is a shade derived from red as is pink.

I could get all technical and bore the ****es out of ya's but I don't have the time or motivation. :D

That's correct. When making colours for painting white is considered a colour. Its a lot technical to explain but some colours are produced by varying the amount of white pigment that is used. Depending on what colour is required for the final choice anything from 10% to 70% of white pigment can be excluded in manufacturing process. Other colours can be produced by using red bases, blue bases, green bases, brown bases etc..
