my mates looking at buying a 05 stivo

what are they worth?

how is the resale value

if it been in a accident is it worth buying,

I think 25-26K is about right under 30km, maybe a little more with mods.

There is a good chance most cars for sale have been in some sort of accident, and you probably will get into one evenually. If the repair job is good and you cant tell, then it should be ok. If its a backyard repair, stay away.

check the usual places... carsales.com.au, drive.com.au, tradingpost.com.au, www.redbook.com.au

privately you could pick one up for ~$22-23k, through a dealer maybe $25-26k

On SMH drive - 2005 Update, less than 1 year old - sell for around $27k. But then again it depends on the seller. Low $20s wil buy you a 2003/2004 sportivo.
