Hi guys, does anyone know how to paint the plastic for our mudflap ?

or places where I can get them painted (syd).

I have always wanted to paint my mudflap white like the levin model.

how to paint?

spray paint. raw plastic needs plastic primer to stop the paint from cracking when the plastic gets hot and expands in the weather.

where?

panel beaters and bodykit shops.

I'm going to bring mine back with me to Singapore the next time to get it painted there. It's so much cheaper.

do you really need mud guards?

I hate it when i drive behind someone without mudgaurds. the only time i think it's ok to remove them is when you have a body kit that serves the same function (cover the rear of the wheel) it's so dangerous for others to drive around without mudgaurds in the wet. waters get sprayed up at the guy behind you for 20 - 30meters depending on road speed. really annoying. reduces visibility and causes accidents. <_<

I recommend the following:

PPG Primer

PPG Base Coat

PPG Clear Coat ("Nyflex Clear")

PPG supply paint for the majority of TMCA manufactured exterior parts (Camry & Avalon mudguards included), as mentioned previously panel beaters etc should have the colours you are after.
