Hi all.

Just had my 05 sportivo trannie filled up with Redline shock proof, have really noticed the diffrerence in the shifting through the gears, smooth as, well worth the bucks for the product.

However something is puzzling me, the oil change was done at a toyota dealership as part of my 20,000km service and only 2 bottles of shock proof was used for a total of 2 litres, I was under the impression the sportivo required approx 2.4 liters of the stuff.

Does someone have an answer as I am taking it back on Monday to have them re-check the level of oil in the trannie, so I would like to armed with some knowledge and not look like a dill.

Cheers all/ Have a good week-end

from memory it's 2.6L for a dry fill, but that depends on what angle the car is on.

You just fill it until the oil comes out the filler hole.

1./ Read the manual

2./ Check the dipstick when the engine is cold & then when it is hot

Last time I checked the manual gearbox has no dipstick :P
