Nice write up vyets.

Thanks for the points.

Here are some pics of my stock sportivo rims that i sprayed black.

The only difference is i used ESP (Easy Surface Prep) that binds paint to any surface. It's designed to eliminate sanding back the surface. So far it seems to have worked okay.

has anyoone had any trouble with paint peeling ? most rims cop a beating ..sun and rain and hot brakes and ****.. im thinking this would be a problem ?

does it scratch easy? cheers

Nope have not had a problem with paint peeling. Not if you prep them right. They will scratch quite easily so watch out when you are putting them back on.

But you will enjoy the new sexy coloured rims :D

well i had them for like 2 years and yes the clear coat does fade after awhile they become from gloss black to matt black didint flake much but yes they did fade this is a good way to do cheap rims but u could always powder coat them i ended up doing that after the faded
