Press Release:

"Aurion Sports Concept

What would the ultimate sports version of a Toyota Aurion look like? The Aurion Sports Concept is the answer - a powerful sports sedan, visually inspired by Toyota's F1 race cars. It balances overt, muscular styling features with a technology feel - a truly modern performance concept.

The 20 inch wheels and performance brakes fill the wheel arches creating an awesome stance. Its bright red paint scheme contrasts with the menacing, dark accents for a truly dramatic effect.

The Aurion Sports Concept takes Toyota to a new level in the performance game. "

A Sneak Preview:

The car will be at the Australian International Motor Show at Darling Harbour.

Why not?

TRD dont want HSV and FPV to have all the fun in that market segment, probably drop the wheel size down for production tho.

Man that thing is seriously hot looking! Toyota have got all the right elements in this car. From the looks of what I've read its coming out. 20 inch tho I doubt it. Probly 18s.

Toyota won't be bringing out this car. See that man standing next to the car in the racing suit? He will be.

There is hints of AWD still possible see John Mellor's guide. :)

The vibe on running costs and large wheels is that the tyres contribute loads to the running cost of a car and make issues of small increases in fuel consumption seem insignificant. 19" wheels might not look as good but at leas you can feed the family ;)

Personally I think it could be too much show and not enough go for a car that looks like that, considering that this will be up against the XR6T.

If only they used the GS/IS platform instead :( I'm sure everyone would have been willing to pay for that RWD chassis, even if it did cost a bit more without some of that standard equipment.
