any ideas on what i can do to my 1986 celica and anyone who can help

my celica needs some serious modifying. interior and exterior, i have just gotten my sunroof replaced and now need some ideas of what to do next any ideas. also if anyone can help me get what is required to make the changes that would be sick.

what have you done so far? just the sunroof?

my first suggestion would be to lower the car, and get some rims, and stereo upgrage and upgrade your exhaust...

... in whichever order you want... they are usually the cheap easy mods people do that have great effect on the sound and appearance of a car...

exhaust and sound are good. one thing i noticed about the st 162 is the grea box and engin combo arent designed to do anything in a real hurry. if you were willing to spend the dollars i would get a head overhaul, new pistons new conrods, cams should never break in a car so i dont see a need for changeing it unless the new conrods and stuff requier it, if you were felling reall industrious you could perchase the 4wd kit which comes with thw funky gear box as well. or you could rob a musem and get the origional st165 rally one :D. Another mod that is alot cheaper and less time consumeing is to change the air in take make it bigger make it in front of the grill so it gets some kind of raming going, air filter might actually be used then :D.A new more grunty fule pump, makes a huge difference tried it on my one but only for a week becuase the origional one died and the fule distributor went with it , so a mate gave me his citroen one straps rigt in the boot, only becuase i could only aford the fule distributor at the time , little bastards are 300 buck.

so far all i have talked abut is the expensive engin side of things. i persoanlly like the look of the car from the out side especially when you still have the body kit and stuff, i would take the mud flaps off, i recon it looks heaps better without them and the stupid screws rust and take the pannel with it, from memory its a 13 mm socket :D. the rest of the stuff like the interior is just a matter of replaceing the origional gear or repairing the origional stuff, i would be trying to make it look gangsta before i made it fast

my mum had one wen i was a kid and she said it was a pit slow so she put a pod filter in it and platnum plugs and it gave it a bit more tourque but then she just said she thought it was still slow so she drove it like she stole it... they are a great car

if you want to spend the money.. do a 3SGTE conversion a bit of cash but damn are they quick afterwards
