Turbo Sportivo Vs Civic VTIR Hatch

Recommended Posts

i would go with the EK but then again thats me :P

b16 has even more potential then the 2zz lols.

even though it cannot compare with the gains made from a turbo car, the honda b16 can gain alot beter then the 2zz. and there's HEAPS of aftermarket support for it.

Having heaps of power is easy, but keeping that power to the ground is the hard part lol.

Don't get me wrong i love your car and how it looks and turbo thats just a bonus! but im honda by heart. lol

He hasnt got a 2zz he's got a 7A (7A-FTE to be exact)

Oh and the EK hatchbacks don't come with VTEC (I think, but I'll stand corrected if I am wrong) it's only the rare coupe versions (as mentioned they are called VTiR). They are VERY popular with modders n therefore it is VERY hard to find one that has not been thrashed or is unmodified (so you can modify it with ur own tastes in mind).

EDIT: By the way sorry about bein a details nazi :lol:

The EK4 hatchback and EM1 coupes both have the B16a engines. Both called VTIR

Damn hondas with so much aftermarket support. Makes me jealous. Always wanted a DC2R but damn insurance so $$$

VTEC YO :clap::clap: :P

thanks for all the great replies guys...both has its pros and cons..so yeah..everyone's got a taste for each..like i've said..i've grown up as a Honda lover..and the reason that kinda swayed my to even considering the swap was because i love the car..the shape..the engine..etc etc..plus the fact that some have pointed out..there's so much aftermarket support for hondas..and i'm having difficulty looking for stuff for my Corolla..which is quite sad..

anyway..its been great reading all the different responses from you guys!

for those that dont know, b16a dont work same as lift, when vtec comes in you cant feel it, but its the response that make it fun, and torque is spread out in the rev range, dont know bout other vtec cars, i havent driven it, and poggy, its the good balance of torque and power and also weight that makes a car quick none of them is more important than other i think

Most lift engines have normal normal power before there highlift lobes activate, the turbo sportivo has a fair bit of torque downlow, kws is just reving, torque is the power that makes it feel liek the car is pulling.

A same weight car with 95kws and 210nms will flog a car with 120kws and 160nms
