I think the is200 your referring to is the 'RS200' as they call it. It has the 3S-GE and 210ps thereabouts.

yes u r right, was confused there with all those name :P , anyway, back on topic, so these 3sge BEAMS have lift, and other goodies over the stock ones, so that means theres no lift on stock ones?

no lift on the 3S-GE Beams but it does have duel VVTi (on the intake AND EXHAUST cam)

...and Breakthrough Engine with Advanced Mechanism System.

as does the 1zz-fe and 2zz-ge, infact most modern Toyota engines do.

by stroking the 2zz i dont think it will last too long. Also you will be throwing alot of things out of balance

making the walls thinner causes weak spots

"Stroking" an engine is increasing the Stroke of the cylinder, i.e. the up and down distance that the piston travels. You're talking about making the Bore a wider diameter which is another way to increase displacement I guess. I suppose that would make the walls thinner but that's not the point here.

yeah im talking about boring it out!

my mistake! :)

come on pete ..... u should know that u dont touch the bore when u stroke an engine ..... u r 110% correct there is no room on the 2zz block to bore it out to 2L hence y the stroker kit takes a 1zz crank which has a longer stroke but the 1zz has a smaller bore so the longer stroke and larger bore of the 2zz almost gets u to 2L's.

Also make sure u grab me a zebra sausage next time u come 2 the meet :P :P :P :P :P :P

haha billy you will get some zebra sausage! :)

So do you really think its worth getting a stroker kit?

Has anyone else experimented with it yet?
