Hi, I have just bought a 2012 AT-X after my 2007 touring was torched but find the auto locking of the doors a bit of a nuisance.

Is it possible to disable this "feature" or at least get the doors to unlock if the transmission is put in park.

I notice the new Camry also has this "feature" (it is my work vehicle)

Thanks

Take it to a dealership, they should be able to connect in with their IT and adjust it for you.

Not necessary with 50 series. Toyota actually allows you to make these changes and many others through the interior command centre. Now there hidden in vehicle set up and will on appear on the screen if the vehicle is running or on accessories i think it is (one of those things you just do without think these days lol) select set up and a heap of personal settings will appear such as locking and lights etc, simply choice your desired settings one by either turning them off or on. Options include speed dependant locking or as soon as you put the car out of park, same goes with auto unlock you can have it set to unlock when you put it in park or when you stop the engine.

Have play see what you can find

Adamsy,

Thanks for the info. I had taken it to the dealer, 4 hours and they disabled it. I then read the maual (should have done this first). Anyway two minutes and I had it set the way I wanted it, what a wonderful thing modern technology is :-)
