I've heard couple times that there is a sound...sounds like "Graakk" when I first start to move the car after a long stop, for example parking..

Any of you happen this before?

Yeah

When the little one wakes up in the car seat, she makes that noise too.

Not good, don't know how to fix it yet.

??? =)

So you did have the same problem as well?

Perhaps the brakes disengaging - if you hold the breaks slightly on and allow the car to roll the breaks make a similar sound . . . ?

Hi,

I've tried the brake, I don't think it's the break.

The first time I ran like about 100 m after parking, then the sound will appear.

Anyone has happened this before?

I think you might be talking about the clunk noise we all get from the right hand side of the car after taking off. This is a common problem and is apparantly something to do with the ABS or something? Some others have mentioned that this issue is mentioned in the vehicle handbook.

I have the same nois in my car, the service manual says this is normal as the Abs system is doing a check.

Yeah the ABS test happens just after taking off but only for the first time. It tests the system once and you hear a clunk or dull tap from all four points.

Not sure if this is the noise though. Does it happen everytime you stop and then start or just the first time once you've just started the car ?

I think that's probably the sound. It always happen the first time once i've started the car. =)

Thanks all for the reply, I thought it was my only problem, but it seems that's the way it was designed =D

I live in a cul-de-sac so everytime I leave the house after starting the car, I travel around in a clock-wise direction. As I'm part way into the loop, I always have this quick, light 'knock' sound (kind of like a cold handbrake releasing on a hill) that I usually only hear on the rear left hand side. I was wondering what this may have been. I only really notice it on that move and wasn't quite sure whether it was due to the turn or not. The ABS makes sense I guess.

Yeah i get that exact noise myself.

I think it comes from the ABS box thingo, where all the brake lines come out from.!
