Hows that floor scraping canon muffler from the black Auris? Hehe. Been looking at xforce S10 or S12 twinloop systems? Hard pressed to find any. :(

Would it be possible to install a short shifter in the 08 ZRE? I've had a thought about it and it seems like a massive headache, ripping the panels around it and being set up so high wouldn't make installation easy.

In my opinion, i think having coilovers (adjustable) or not is for the more advance guys who really wanna tweak and play with their settings. And it depends on what the application is for: If for just daily cruising, than simple springs should be suffice. If for a much more sturdy ride that hugs the road than coilovers/swaybars is for you. It also comes down to cost, the price difference is really big. What do you guys think? Is it worth getting coilovers?

Im going Hawaii next week so i gota organise this weekend, no other time to do it. Otherwise i so would be in for it, been waiting for the melb meet for ages.. since i got my car. :( I think its a great way for all to meet the faces with the cars. Might have to make a date for the 2010 one, if its in SA. By then, hopefully my ride will be sitting on 18's and growling with a twinloop exhaust. :) Anyways, have fun, take lots of photos and post them up. I prefer the XForce twinloop over th Remus exhaust. Way back when i first got my 08 ZR, the Remus twin tip was the only one i could find for it and it was way too dear. I'm hoping to get an XForce twinloop S10 system in the coming months. Just ask TOC member SAJ if anything, he can give you details, even has youtube clips of the exhaust note on his rolla. Basically silent at 2.5k and when you give it past that it has quite a nice growl. John

Okay, i think we've all thrown our thoughts out on the table. I agree with what your saying DJKOR. That my simple message wont do much to stop people from their driving habits. I guess, because i've had someone close affected by it i can see how bad it is. And i guess people will never truly understand something until they learn it the hard way. And having someone else say "dont do it", "its not worth it" wont change their mind. Maybe it takes one accident, maybe it takes one close call, maybe it takes one pullover with the red and blue. So if anything, i hope that this topic encourages one driver to rethink the next time he steps on the pedal; one driver, one licence, one car and one life. Johnnie boi

Just wanted to say DAmnnnnn... thats some sexy pics of your aurion DJKOR. When you throwing some big rims on that dude? I saw one the other day, black, tinted windows, lowered and shiny 19"s. VIP tough!

Are you a little heavy in your right foot? Do you have the urge to go from 0-100klm regardless of where you are? Do you look left and right at a red light? Are you always checking your side and rear mirrors? Do you like licking the redline in your shifting? Does your car roar from point A to B? An issue that has long dawned on all drivers. (a friend of mine recently got done in his STi doing 100klm down a 50klm/h residential zone). Lets just say bye bye licence for 1 year, hefty fine and either illegal driving or being taxied around from now on. Is it really worth the risk? Especially with the new probationary licences; eg. red P's, green P's, restrictions, restrictions, restrictions. Police love those plates. We must all think before we plant the right pedal down, just to be ahead, just to beat someone, just to get there earlier. Is it really worth it? Is your licence worth it? Is your job worth it? Is your car worth it? Is your life worth it? Don't get me wrong, i drove my old celica like a GTR skyline on NOS on my P's. But since getting my full licence and ZR, i got over the whole speeding thing. (with the odd 140 at night) oops. The younger drivers of our time are impressionable and need to rethink how important their licence is and that many things get affected by not having a licence. Theres been countless times where i almost lost mine and it would of hurt, esp with work. Wanna speed? Save it for the tracks. Johnnie boi

Recently, i've had 2 incidnents where i had to brake suddenly which i havent had to do since owning the ZR. The most recent one happened today, and i noticed like last time, that everytime i brake suddenly and punch on the pedal, it makes this grinding sound that doesnt sound too healthy. Has anyone experienced this also in their corolla? I wasnt skidding, so that wasnt it. Im hoping its something normal, i might have to try doing it by myself to see what its like. Any ideas?

Yeah like what whitestivo said. It depends on how much your willing to fork out dude. The Bridgestone Potenza GIII's lasted our cars about 1-3yrs under normal driving conditions. You'd rather have a good set of tyres than rims. So its up to you.

I just want 10k. Whats the best way to get 10k by next week? lol. 2k on 18" rims and super sticky tyres 1k on twinloop exhaust system 1k on good set of lowered springs 6k on a custom TRD supercharger. = one sleek and aggressive sleeper. Ok skip the charger. Just rims, exhaust and springs. The white one is awesome! The ZR sitting lower makes the ride look heaps phat!

Bridgestone Potenza GIII have been a favourite in my home. They were about $650 fitted i think. Good for high speeds in the wet, if ur crazy enough to try. My ZR 08 has the Yokohama Advans, which are nice and sticky. :D

I like the ZZE look, i think the simple lines make it unique and memorable.

Anyone know how much a XForce twinloop in stainless steel will cost for my Levin ZR 08? And any places that can source it/fit it in melbourne?

Theres many sources for you to get a nice new set of rims. It all depends on what size and what type you want. A lot of us are looking at getting rims too, its hard work finding the perfect pair. Try some 18's with lowered springs. :D

I like the small grille garnish too, but we cant get it.Its not TRD,its Modellista and Japan only,that brand is fitted on production line and is ordered when purchasing a new car.Lucky Japs,they have great ZZE bits too. That small garnish comes in chrome/silver also. VOTE who wants to go to japan and order for all of us ZRE owners :D hey guys tell me your opinion to this bsides my dodgey photo chopping, about the rim colour and lowered does it look alrite? as i dont really feel like buying some new rims for my rolla... trying to save up for a S14a after my p laws are done :) Dude.. that looks tough as, and if your planning to use the existing rims, smart move. Makes your rolla look aggressive as. Question on the S14, also weighed up getting one before my rolla actually. Doesnt your rolla cost more than getting an S14? And wouldnt you have got the S14 first, then get a rolla after? Just curious. (Newer car vs older car) I know its RWD, possibly turbo and all. But yeah, im also a massive fan of the S14 Series II more than the S15 or S13, go SR20s. Good luck with whatever you decide to do though. :D

Back in early 2008 when i was car hunting, i went to a few toyota dealers, asking if there was a new sportivo model for the corollas, they said no, the engines' manufacturer stopped making them. I also asked, that i heard there was gonna be a TRD model or turbo variant of the Yaris, also no. So i chose the ZR. And a couple months down the track, bam, a TRD Aurion supercharged (A 250kw FWD auto V6 WTF???) and a TRD Hilux supercharged. What the hell are they thinking? Whats the extra power in the hilux gonna get you, up the hill faster? Waste. The hilux is a workhorse, not a racecar. The brand TRD should be left for the people who want a performance/sporty platform. If only the Aurion was manual, (perhaps even RWD) then everything would be settled and there'd be no complaints. Then i'd go trade in my ZR and get one.

I was just thinkin.. Im gonna go for a drive, speeding at 150, straight into a petrol station as i bail out of my car, wait for emergency services to arrive, fight with the police, steal their car and speed off, this time drive into a house, straight into the living room, get out and mock and punch on with the people, dack myself and be stark naked, run at breakneck speed down the busy street, finally get caught, arrested, sent to prison, find the meanest prison gang, go up and insult the leader, get bashed, get sent to solitary confinement, do my years, get out an old man, return home, go to the park, sit on the bench, enjoy the cool breeze on my face, take in the peaceful serenity and wonder, just wonder all those years ago, i should of just stayed home instead. Then again, i was just thinking..
