  1. My computer humming and my fishtanks' filter running.. Otherwise, Lion King - I Just Can't Wait To Be King :)
  2. WOW - World of Warcraft Basically, an expansion of the original PC game; Pick a race, build a base, build units and attack other players. WOW, main difference is open world exploration and interaction via internet. You create a single character, level up, make them stronger, buy items, battle people, explore lands and seas. etc etc My mate plays it, religiously. Which is really quite sad. Often avoiding going out because of a scheduled Clan battle that nite. Time to grow up dude! WOW is seriously a sickness, an addictive drug. That just wastes your time and precious money. And if anything i said didnt matter, that same mate of mine develop carpel tunnel from WOW. So there you go.
  3. Definitely manual. You can feel the car more and you can control the power that is delivered. I drive my mums aurion sometimes with sequential shift (tryhard manual) and it feels pretty laid back and cruisy, although i just plant it all the time. :) 200kw FWD FTW!! First car was a manual celica sx, first week i had it dragged an S14 200SX on the freeway.. lost effortlessly.. hehe Go manual
  4. How much more power will my ZR put out if i get a TRD sticker on the back? And im thinking of changing the stock pedals to sporty steel ones, will that make my clutching that much faster?
  5. You've just got the addictive bug known as double-clutching. WD-40 my friend, or a new clutch to start abusing all over again. hehe
  6. 250kw RWD rolla.. haha.. super rice drifter! If the money is plentiful then go for it. There are plenty of mods you can do to your 03 rolla, just gota search around. Unlike the 08 ZRE rollas some of us have, we cant do much because not much research and development has gone into it. Simple mods, exhaust, CAI.etc Depends wat you want dude. If you are budgeting, then mod smart; get better tires in favor of 17" or 18", instead of a bodykit get bigger and stronger brakes. (you get my drift?) Create a sleeper, a lot of guys dont have money to just splurge on every mod possible. Get mods that are effective for you, whether that be performance wise or looks.
  7. Yep, what suprathai said. You'll need a bumper respray, you can rub and scrub all you like.. my old celica had 2 small bumps on the rear that made the paint start to strip off, cost me 400 for total respray. It was worth it, turned out pretty close to the original color and was clean as, couldnt even tell. Just need to talk to the guys doing it.
  8. Damn, slotted rotors and Rotora calipers... trd rims... damn. Thats stopping power!
  9. Any double clutching? Shifting too fast? That creates a nasty smell.. or someone farted :P jks
  10. I notice the TRD front lip.. but is that like a smaller type of front garnish similar to yours JVN1LL? that looks like such a simple but effective looking mod to make the car stand out? Is it possible to order it from a TRD dealer?
  11. Same. First drive was out of the dealership. I didnt even know how to shift into reverse for like 10mins. lol. Ok, thoughts on the car. Previously owned a celica sx coupe, awesome first car. I think the new corolla gives a sporty feel and look but doesnt offer the performance level of said previous models. More luxury and creature comforts are in mind. In the case of the Levin range esp. ZR (which is the top model) they basically just make the car user friendly with top level technology. eg. 6 CD stacker, auto headlights, auto wipers, keyless entry, start button, headlight spray (my fav) Those small windows you noticed was being dreamed up about 5-6 years ago, i read about it in a car magazine. It basically gives the driver a better vision of the road, apparently the a-pillar was blocking our vision and causing accidents. Like wat JVN11L was saying. I think the interior eg. Levin ZR is clean, modern and once again user friendly. I really like the overall shape of the car. I did ask in 2008 if there was a Sportivo range to purchase at my dealership, they said no, apparently, the manufacturer of the sportivo engine in south africa stopped production, so the Levin ZR was my next choice.
  12. Had mine for almost a year now. I'd say 10 for mine too. I'd say, you look after your car.. it looks after you.
  13. Hehe. Ok ok understood. Sorry for the trouble, back to granny shifting at 2.5k rpm :D Thanks for all the info
  14. Hrmm.. So all in all. The ZRE can achieve lift? Any ZR owners tried this on their rolla yet? I might give it a crack in the morning on the way to work. hehe Just gota kick it up to 6,500rpm!
  15. Yeah dude, i bought mine brand new. Had it for about 6months now and i've had no issues. Definitely chase it up about warranty. If they want to keep a faithful customer they will handle your issues deligently and quickly.
  16. I was reading the Lift thread for the sportivos and it would be great if Lift could be explained so those who dont know can find out. And how lift can be achieved in the ZRE? What im guessing is.. lift is like the N/A's (VVTi-L) version of a small turbo? A small kick in acceleration? A torque boost? Any help? Is the ZRE capable of this? Im babyin' my ZR too much to have tried anything redline and past that.. (6,500rpm redline and 8000rpm max) is the sportivo rev limit higher? eg 03,04,05 models and alike.
  17. Haha. Hey dude. From melb? In terms of service? I think they're pretty good. Took me less than 2days to get mine with all paperwork sorted. And the only test drive i had was when i bought the car. lol. (The sales rep was tripping i wanted the ZR 6spd, asked me twice "are you sure?") <_< They gave me a pretty thorough look at the car, brochure, features, colours before making my decision. For my 5000 and 10000km service, its been quite good. I just book it in, service takes no longer than 45mins usually. I just wait there. Pricing isnt the greatest value for money but i guess cause your getting Toyota to do it, which is genuine and backed by their name, and warranty. I havent sought after parts from them yet, did have a quick geez at the TRD glass box and the price made me forget about it. Might get seatbelt pads tho.. I wanna see what else they got from TRD? and if anything worthwhile for the ZR
  18. I feel you on that one JVN11L. It feels a touch laggy between shifts, like you realli gota ease the gear in there. Sucks when your trying to shift fast. Tried double clutching? Clutch still too grippy for it. Altho makes mine spin a bit in 2nd :)
  19. imagining 20" rims for a sec... damn.. rolling SUV style. On a rolla? Respect I think Buddy Club, Enkei, Rays Engineering, 5zigen are all pretty nice. Cost all depends on size of rim.. and what tyres you want. Call up and ask for quotes. :)
  20. Looks like a standard rolla to me. No fancy new look. Or even a special kit. Is it just me or is the price Retail 222 300?? WTH? Cut the nonsense and give me the extra 41kw! lol
  21. Sounds good. Im weighing in just getting the rims for now. Saving for a nice set of 18" with some decent rubber. Its gonna hurt but be so worth it. Only trouble with dropping the rolla with springs is voiding my warranty on the car. And whether my driveway would make my car scrape the floor everytime i climb up it. :( Quick question (how low is too low past the legal limit?) Anyone know roughly how long the warranty is? And would putting an exhaust on be a good idea atm? taking into account warranty again. Warranty sucks! Cant do nothing but tweddle my thumbs, sit in my room and dream of things to do. Finally a pic of my rolla. Stock as a rock! Just washed :P Is there such thing as a AWD Rolla ZR? Heard from a birdie.. i must of bought the wrong car if so. LOL
  22. Hrmmm. Thanks guys. I think i'll just get the rims and exhaust for now. I'll leave the CAI idea. I'll keep you guys updated
  23. Aww dude! I laughed when i saw this topic heading. So true! My sunnies dont fit in there either. I'd have to say a pair of small and rectangle sunnies. Which is rarely seen these days.
  24. Big hello to all the ZRE owners out there! When i got my 08 rolla a while back, noone had done anything to them so i didnt realli bother thinking about mine. But since then i've seen some awesome examples of ZR's. I love the streamline look with a lowered stance and big rims. Im thinking of doing some simple mods on my 08 rolla soon. Either 17" or 18" rims, lowered springs for aggressive stance, exhaust system and maybe CAI I got a quote from the tyre Factory for king springs fitted for about $500. is that too much? Is Peddars a better option? And can the XForce twinloop system be installed as a full exhaust system. Better with or without muffler? And would a resonator reduce the exhaust note too much? Lastly, in regards to CAI. Heard CES is better than TRD. What do you guys think? how much would a CES CAI cost fitted? Hopefully i can some mods done and post up some pics! Any help would be great. GO N/A!
