  1. There are a few things floating around depending on who you talk to in the big family that is toyota. Ranging from rattles, noise to body parts no being attached properly. The best thing is to sit and wait untill toyota let us know what this ADR non-safety issue is. There is no point in speculating either really as it all could lead us down the wrong path.
  2. Unfortunatley I cant help every body with Directions on how to get to the Starting point. You can have a look in your refidex and look though. Go to map 197 M/7 you will see the Mt Ommeny Shopping plaza. KFC carpark is the street into the complex after the lights (or before which ever way you come) I will also be meeting some people at Griffith UNI car park at 9.30am that same morning to leed them to the start point. If it is any easier for any of you to meet us there then that would be good :) Once there I will be handing out maps and directions for us to follow. We will be having various stop points along the way so no one should get lost :D If anyone needs me they can call me on PM me for this number Cheers Craig
  3. Any idea where it is Hames? we could do :D
  4. Got another Sportivo guy coming along now. Hes a mate of a mates son. He is also hopefully getting another white sportivo (yes they do exist apart from mine in brisbane) to come along. So far we have Danthuyer Shaohaok Stoopidhead Sportiv Sportivo Rice Hames Deathzone Jim Anyone That I have left out? So far details are 13th June Meeting up at 10.am at KFC/Hungry Jacks Car Park Mt Ommany Shopping plaza to meet greet and move on from there. Unless anyone else has a suggestion for the meeting point?
  5. hard to say with 2 different styles like that. Would have been nicer + easier with the same knob and leather :( short looks nice though :) but the question is is your arm too stretched with it that short though ??
  6. I will be sorting out meeting point etc shortly and let you all know. more than likely we will meet in/near the city somwhere and go from there. Does anyone apart from Shao have a really bad sence of direction? :P Also if anyone has a UHF radio I suggest you bring along :D
  7. Cruize looks like it will be the 13th june now ;)
  8. Guys, It looks like the cruize has been moved to the 13thJune. Does anyonw have objection to going over MT Nebo and then onto Whyvenho (i dont know how to spell it) dam for lunch/afternoon tea? Shao will we be doing some photography again? Michael is 13th better for you??? Cheers Craig
  9. I think the best way would be to splice the wire and do it that way? I havent looked at shift lights yet but when I do (most likely when i get back from OS) I will be trying to get a dual stage light. Sort of what you have in the drag mode in Need For Speed Underground. A Blue colour for when we are at lift! 6000 RPM and then a second colour Green for when we are at 7800 RPM (which gives us 400 RPM change band) and I dont want a huge light either something nice small and bright will do me intergrated into the dash :)
  10. Most Saturday I go down to the Broadwater Car Park with a few mates (S15, Supra, Soarer etc.) we have alot of fun :D would be good if a few more Stivos could join me ....get us noticed ;) Back to the topic -> is the 13th better for ppl than the 12th???
  11. rice - welcome aboard mate :D there is a post in the events/meeting section on the forums about a cruize we are trying to organise for the 12 June. If you guys could come along that would be great. QLD Cruise Cheers Craig :D
  12. E - unsure what rolling stock she had on the car racing 15 or 16" but it did look a little lower then my high roller (stock height) Ill have a look later :D
  13. Is it just me or has the QLD sportivo owners in this forum boomed in the last couple of weeks ??? Hames Sportiv Sporthatch141 Welcome aboard guys :D great to see that we are geeting a few more in here. It's very intimidating to see all these NSW/VIC in here and such a little contingent from up north. So why has this sudden increase come about? Is it the hot modified Stivos that Stoopidhead/Shaohaok and myself drive making people notice them more? hmmmmmmmmm.....................
  14. YAY! another Brisbanite :D :D Congrats on the purchase mate ;) Im around 80-85 Kg (depending on lunch) and I dont have a problem with the seats at all. even though the warm days up here in QLD all seems good and I have done 10,000 K's. like some of the guys mentioned? maybe the seeting position is causing this???
  15. 26 03mike - Love that avater :P :P :P :P
  16. I managed to have a great sunday arvo of armchair motor sport :D WRC, procar, 1hr enduro, formula 4000 etc. caught leanne doing the Stivo proud. I tell you what though didnt that liberty wallop past her on the straight :( good to see her get the protons and the like out of the corners though........i tired to tempt Shaohaok to watch but he was too busy with work.....oh well
  17. Looking nice lucio ;) I do like the black but if am correct I am the only Brisbane guy here that has any other colour than black ?? shao, stoopid, hames and sportiv all have black stivos??......very popular colour :D
  18. Guys, I'm planning the first ever ATOC QLD Cruize. At the moment it's scheduled for Saturday 12th June. Possible places to go to. - Mt Nebo then onto Wyvenhoe Dam - Montville/Malaney - MT Tamberine / Springbrook If anyone else has a good place that we can go to please suggest. Cheers Craig :D
  19. 03Mike - Nicely done mate ;) now you have a nice benchmark to work from for your continuing mods :D. As zee/shao pointed out it is a platform from which to use as a benchmark for YOUR car in the times to come. Shao - as per usual a great source of technical and interesting reading ;) Guys - #1 thing to remember yet again about modifying cars. It's not all about kW/BHP Shao had a 'very' similar result with his sportivo with only a CAI and muffler ( I was there with him) so these figures are a very true representation of a stock stivo with a few tid bits :D IMHO - the TRD CAI is bang for buck the best mod for our car atm Again Well done Mike i bet the smile will be there for another 3 weeks yet :D :D :D
  20. I doo like the tail light covers and the big rear roof spoiler (not WRC style) hmmmmm........will have to look into it i think <_<
  21. It's all to do with the wind and the pressure that builds up in the back of the car. You find that if you let down the rear windows about an inch the noise/pressure will disapate. It's all to do with the aerodynamics of the car and how much air actually makes it past the centre pillar. you;ll find that if you have weather shields on the car it goes away because the air is pushed out more to the sides.
  22. Stew - great post mate :) good to see what can be done by a 'better' driver hey!? I managed a pitiful 7.24 0 -> 100 and 15.91 1/4 mile with Shao in the car with me on Friday. each change from 1->2 was dropping just out of lift :( It just shows how much a 'good' driver can make these things fly :)
  23. organ - welcome :D I think mr OZ_VIKING is a fellow S.A'n
  24. Finally somone has seen the light with Bruce ;) once you've tried Bruce you wont go back to full retail again :D hehehe...ooops my bad :P
