  1. Yea i think i'll go with that just one more thing As soon as the headunit powers up there is a constant shhhhhhhhhhh noise coming from the speakers. any ideas what could be causing this? Cheers
  2. Ok been thinking about this for a while now What do you guys reckon the best option would be taking note my headunit only has a Left and Right RCA out 1.Split those 2 RCA's to run the sub and the 4 speakers, (won't have any control over over the 6x9's from the headunit then) 2.Run the sub of the two RCA's and run the speakers using the high input selection on the amp 3.Install a 2nd headunit under the A/C controls, which would be used for music, and use the main headunit for GPS and Watching DVD's etc(But how would i get sound to come out of the speakers from both headunits) Cheers
  3. Hey again guys I went and picked up a wiring kit, so its wired up correctly now :) Now i decided to hook the four 6x9's up to an amp aswell But the only problem is that my headunit only has L and R audio out, so i have split that L and R so that i can run the 4 speakers plus the sub. It sounds pretty decent but once the headunit turns on there is a bit of static coming from the speakers, and also there is slight engine wine coming through the speakers aswell Would it be better to wire up the high input selection on the amp and use the L & R our for the SUB Cheers
  4. Love the look of your aurion mate!!! Anymore pics????
  5. Met up with VF-X few days back to pick up the new VIP2 grill, remeshed with some smaller grid mesh and also meshed the bottom grill (which took alot longer than expected to get the mesh to to perfect size), but it fits pretty good now. :D
  6. Thanks for the replies guys, its only a temporary thing, will head out soon and buy a fuse and a thick power cable and run it from the battery
  7. Hey Folks, I have had an amp and a 12inch sub sitting around for a while and now since i'm on holidays decided to put them in the aurion. But kinda taken a few short cuts..... So basically i have mounted the AMP under the passenger seat, it was really easy to do as you can easily thread the wires through under the arm rest, but instead of hooking the amp up to the battery directly, i have hooked it up to the cigarette lighter power port thingy, in doing so i have only needed to run about 30cms of wire to power the amp. The AMP only puts out about 250RMS The sounds coming out is perfect and is a real improvement! Just wondering what are the disadvantages of doing what i have done? Also regarding the parcel shelf, it use to rattle pretty bad so i also took that off today, cut and trimmied all that carpet looking material under the shelf and also trimmed back the plastic which sits above the speakers, now it doesn't rattle at all. Cheers
  8. bit of a thread hijack but, i swapped the rear speakers out a few months back, but now getting some terrible rattles from the parcel shelf, did u trim the plastic at all?
  9. Don't they recommend that the change in your rolling diameter is to great?
  10. Thats a bit of a change isn't it?? wouldn't you be better with 235/45/R18?
  11. LOL. it is funny what bugs different people. Having even a light there would probably bug the crap out of me, my eyes are very sensitive. At night, the less inside light there is the better and safer you are. Does the centre Console bug you? We went for a cruise down to woolongong as an excuse to go for a drive, my wife was tired and complained that the centre console was too bright and she couldn't get to sleep. This is true, that why you buy an aftermarket one!
  12. Where did u buy the vehicle from? "Government, Rental and Employee Family Vehicle Purchase (EFVP) vehicles are not eligible, and additional exclusions may apply. "
  13. This is from my osram night breakers to HIDS The osrams claim 90% more light than the stock globes but it isn't that much. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23003&view=findpost&p=383490
  14. I agree the Holdens look a bit silly But i reckon the Mercs look ok
  15. Tell that to my 20 Inch wheels and the 2 passengers weighin 200kg all together. But the FC should be good this weekend.. Long and relaxing drive.. xD. Your exhaust must be adding a bit aswell yea??
  16. Bloody stupid search options.... took me 10mins to find this thread. Anyway was searching on eBay and found these sway bar links http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-FRONT-Sway-Bar-Links-SET-TOYOTA-AURION-07-09-/170494328806?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b240ffe6 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-REAR-Sway-Bar-Links-SET-TOYOTA-AURION-07-09-/170494328726?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b240ff96 and also a spoiler, from the looks it isn't just the normal spoiler as it seems to sit a lot lower like the TRD one http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-CAMRY-AURION-SPOILER-2007-2010-/290441637082?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item439fabacda What are your thought on the sway bar links and the spoiler? Cheers
  17. I'd love to see a turbo aurion!! and even more so a TRD supercharged turbo aurion!! one of the two must happen eventually.
  18. Hey thanks for the reply, I got the low fuel like at 400KM so its more like 13.75 which is pretty high... As for the tyres, the Max Psi is 55 or 58 can't quite remember. I normally pump them up at 42psi but decided to see how it is at 45psi Cheers
  19. Hey all, I've never really paid a great deal of attention to fuel economy, but it never has seemed as good as the 9.9L/100KM or even some of the fuel economies listed in the "lets compare fuel economy" thread. So i filled up the tank to the absolute brim, probably put a few more liters past the cutoff point, and reset the trip meter, now the fuel sign came on about a day ago and since then i have driven about 50kms, but the trip meter only reads 450km and assuming there is about 10L left if i ran it to dry i would get about 530-550kms out of a full 70L tank. Any idea whats going on? i don't really drive the car hard, sometimes i put my foot down but generally when taking off from lights its always under 3000RPM and my tyres are at 45PSI I realise the 9.9L is for freeway and city driving combined but even so i should be getting more out of a tank, right? Cheers
  20. get a 3rd speed reading by timing how long it takes to travel exactly 1KM or 2Km etc, as long as your on a flat road and the speedo is constant, should be the best way of testing it
  21. Was just having a look on eBay and found this aurion http://cgi.ebay.com.au/07-Toyota-Aurion-ZR6-/140411853183?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Cars&hash=item20b132d97f Had to double and triple check that wasn't your car OP is that guy selling on the forum?
  22. Pretty sure they will, its just the people who have put the clear white tail lights on their preface lift aurion
  23. Made in China. More so... for a very cheap production cost. Unfortunately, these kits have a tendency to do that. It's just the overall quality of the lamps and ballasts. Makes sense, its fine for now maybe later on i will invest in a decent HID kit, In that case is there really any need to keep the relay? thanks for the help!
  24. Hey guys, instead of starting a new thread thought it would be more appropriate to post up here, I bought an aftermarket HID kit about 2 months ago from eBay and its really good, but there always was a slight flicker which i thought was due to it not having a relay, but i now have installed the relay and the flicker is still there. Any Ideas? Cheers
  25. Before you hit the barrier, were you doing something like this in Saudi Arabia? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5354694483620792263#docid=-5107653974746566254 i just saw the video, what are these guys trying to proove? and f**k those bystanders r idiots too standing that close. is trashing cars common in saudi arabia? =_= edit: and if you did what u did in that video, your car should NOT be fixed so it stops morons like you making acusations about a defect that most likely would not happen under normal driving conditions. from the photo its clear that its from drivers negligence. hitting a barrier 20cm high at 100km will break things as SD said. good luck to your claim. becuz most likely, it won't come through WTF AT 2.48 is that **** real or not?????????????????????
