  1. John, car is sexy as mate! Trying to make me regret not buying silver? Hehe Love the "AURIS" decal on your hood, adds the final touch. Your ride height is pretty nice..what I might be after. Even though coilovers would be sickk!

    My '08 ZRE

Why, because our's are big and chunky?? HAHA Free next sunday Thom?? Time to finally debadge!!
  3. Congratz mate. That would have been GOLD! Haha All the best for what the future holds! Peter.
  4. Hahaha, yeah wouldn't be surprised if you can get low 6's or high 5's on freeway driving!!
  5. Wow! Is this your rolla or yaris?? Lowest I have got is 7.5L/100kms, and that was because I was driving to Phillip Island! Get an average of 8-8.5L/100km because I drive in peak traffic everyday.. :(
  6. That's good to hear mate, you'll be laughing soon! Hehe :)
  7. I would say, keep the stock steelies for now and use them until you have more money. You can always buy no-name brand rims for under $1000, but I don't know if you will have enough left over to buy decent rubber. As for what sort of wheels..it's ultimately up to you. It depends on what colour is your car, what look do you want? Racer? Pimp? Cruiser? Aggressive stance or more subtle look..your choice. You're the one that will be driving it. :P Just my opinion. Peter.
  8. hmm, going to have more funds in about two weeks (doing tax return) http://www.trdparts.jp/english/parts_sportivo.html springs + shocks = $94,000JPY = $~1200AUD only about 25mm drop..doesn't say how much harder the springs are..so BC coilovers might be a better option. John, do you know anything about Tanabe's? Like Jesse (ZRE sedan) did?? His car has a good height. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/coilovers/ JE-55-EA's ZRE Sedan Peter.
  9. Looking hawtt... Question, how did you know it will fit your car when you were ordering it? Peter.
  10. me either, it was like a light blue/baby blue colour. johnnieboi mate, have you done anything to your car yet? since that meet?
  11. Had a few spots today.. Saw two current shaped camry's, both dumped. One black with smoked taillights with 19/20's; other light blue colour with 19/20's chromes! Nice rides! Saw Trung on tuesday in his little red rolla hatchback going up springvale rd around 4:30pm..looking clean mate! Edit: both camry's around springvale area.
  12. Yeah Peter iam not sure of difference either but they all have 12 month warranty.. The guy in NZ only has BR now including both ZZE and ZRE and has given best price,JJap have V series but if he can do BR at better price then that could be the go me thinks. Bit of info on the BR http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT I was going to get superlows so might as well buy these cos i'll end up needing shocks anyway later down the track, this is perfect for my needs. So i'll keep you posted and see what happens about GB .. :) hmm so V series is "apparently" better? haha, i guess we just got to wait and see about the prices.. :) i just want a slightly lower but pretty firm ride.. originally was thinking of trd springs and shocks, roughly the same price as these BC's.. now thinking i would like coilovers so much better! :D
  13. same, that was my first thought as well. agreed, i would say the last one..
  14. Awesome mate! YAY! can't wait to see pics. Btw, your display pic is pretty cool! :D
  15. Just had a look at the kit i ordered and nope, there's no spacer included..haha Going to go check autobarn, supercheap auto and probably bursons on monday. :)
  16. hmmm sounds tempting john... 1.2k for BC is much better than so called "mid-ranged" 2.6k teins i was thinking of getting.. (don't really know level of quality between brands) i do notice BC's are 6 front and 4 rear, whereas teins are 6 and 5 respectively.
  17. JDM yo.. hahah Thanks mate, probably get it done during midsem break. Peter.
  18. Hey guys, I asked Tint Professor for a quote.. $265. Just wondering, in their reply below: "we would recommend putting a slightly darker film on the back window as this will give you a sportier look and a little bit more privacy. This slightly darker film is no extra cost." Would this look weird? A darker shade on the back window than the other windows? Peter. ** Dear Peter, Thanks for your inquiry. To tint your 2009 Toyota Corolla with the best grade of window tinting on the market costs $265, which includes free pick up and delivery. Your window tinting is guaranteed perfect for life, any problems we fix, no questions, no charge. With the Corolla we would recommend putting a slightly darker film on the back window as this will give you a sportier look and a little bit more privacy. This slightly darker film is no extra cost. To book your Corolla in for tinting or for more information please contact us either by e-mail or telephone (1300 668 663) and please remember the price includes our free service of pick up and delivery anywhere within the Melbourne metro area, please allow about 3 hours. Thanks again for your interest. Regards Louise The Tint Professor PS Don't forget about the Easy Pay option. You pay $67 and get your car tinted today, then pay $66 for the next 3 months and that's it. The amount comes out of either your bank account or credit card. No interest. No fees. It's that easy.
  19. Thanks mate. Will check the kit for a spacer when it comes as I have already ordered it.
  20. Jesse, you got these ones correct? http://www.tanabe-usa.com/coilovers/s-ocII.asp
  21. Thanks mic for all the info and reply, much appreciated. But I've decided not to get one. I have decided I should continue to save up for my springs, shocks and work rims. :) Peter.
  22. This might be a stupid question but, is there any point of non-sportivo owners getting this?? Peter.
  23. Yep, that's the C-One ZRE strut brace indeed. Mate, now that you put it this way, it's enough re-assurance for me. Thanks a lot for the encouragement ;) Ordering now. What a smart idea haha! I know there are a couple of ZRE owners that would get one down the track (including me), so you should be fine. I was going to buy with the other three ZRE owners but I wanted to save up for springs and shocks first before getting a strut.
  24. I'm pretty sure Pre-facelift and facelift Corolla's have 4X100 stud pattern.
