    Footy Finals 2007

That was a big win for the cats.. they are looking good this year Brandon
  2. ZZT231 Celica hubs definately fit on the front, and im pretty sure about the rear but cant remember off the top of my head. Not illegal, but as Rollamods said they will need to be engineered. But, again as he said if its toyota - toyota it shouldnt be too much of a hassle.
  3. Seems like you're the one talking from your a-ss. The torque figure is the least accurate representation of engine power due to driveline multiplication etc. Do you seriously believe the engine has 1200Nm? LOL dont worry Jase, this monkey will just argue with everything i say after i tried to teach him some english.
  4. guys guys guys calm down... its a corolla fielder 2WD - came with a 2ZZ in japan and many were imported to NZ. I am not sure if NZ even got the hatch 2ZZ powered corolla. Secondly, Dyno's are a tuning tool. whilst they can be accurate, they can also be manipulated quite easily so dont believe everything you read. i've never seen an accurate torque figure on any dyno, so dont get your hopes up this car doesnt have 1200nm of torque. the only thing a dyno could be useful for is if you did a baseline run, and then a run with the mods attached. Work out the increase in power/torque as a percentage increase. figures dont mean ****. Anyways, its very nice look rolla mate i do like the wagons as well, very stylish!
  5. Mate, i knew what u were saying, it still look me a while to try and work it out. Making your posts easy to read makes everyone online here happy. Its not that hard to use correct spelling or grammer. Anyways, back to the issue at hand. Your missing my point completely mate. What your describing is not double clutching. I know u don't like english, but lets think about it for a sec, its called double clutching. On your race method, where exactly does the double fit in? There isn't a double movement of the clutch, therefore it isn't double clutching. Simple as that. Real double clutching as i described above is slow and pointless on an upshift. What u are refering to is a fast gear change, but it isn't double clutching its just giving the car a rev and slipping the clutch out of the gear change so you land at higher revs. And as tayles said above, mate we have worked on many many rally cars and i assure u they all have standard h pattern gearboxes because that is all the rules allow for anymore. And i'm pretty dam sure the v8 supercars are all required to run standard h pattern boxes as well. And they all change without the clutch. Its really not hard, however i wouldn't recommend it on a road car. However no matter what arguement you present, this is the fastest way to shift. Now end of story i'm not arguing with u anymore. Back to the real thread topic, the gearbox isn't that weak, however it does break if u abuse the hell out of it. Finally... Whats a gronkk?

    Footy Finals 2007

AFL is a much better sport than NRL. NRL is boring, structured and set up so booners can understand it. AFL is much more of a technical, skills based game. Look at the crowds going to each game... a big crowd for NRL is 40,000. AFL games throughout the season can get close to 100,000, depending on teams, location and timing. Besides, this isnt a battle on which code is better, both are forms of entertainment. I agree with you on the NRL final though. Dave, sorry but the Broncs will be gone this arvo!
  7. well its footy finals time again... just wondering who everyone is tipping coming into the last few weeks AFL: Port Adelaide v West Coast (Port def WC 68 - 65) Hawthorn v Adelaide (Haw def Adel 105 - 102) Collingwood v Sydney (Coll raped Syd 125 - 87 - Go the Pies!!!!) Geelong v Kangaroos (Geelong def Roos 156 - 50) NRL: New Zealand v Parramatta (Par def NZ 12 - 10) Cowboys v Bulldogs (NQL def Dogs 20 - 18) Manly v Souths (Man def Souths 30 - 6) Storm v Brisbane (Storm def Bris 40 - 0) My Picks? Well... while i would love to see the pies come through and win the flag this year, its pretty hard to bet against Geelong. I reckon the pies will beat the eagles next week (no Judd, Kerr and Cousins = no West Coast) but it'll be tough to get over Geelong, they've had a better year than any other team has in recent history, and i think they will keep going and going. As for the NRL, melbourne are very strong and i think this year they have the chance to go all the way. Thoughts??
  8. Happy birthday Corey, you old fart
  9. mate, i'm not talking about boring as ***** drag cars either... I'm talking rally cars, (boring) V8 supercars - real racing. trust me, if you can drive you dont need the clutch, its called rev matching. Besides.... what your describing isnt double clutching at all. Lets think about it logically for the moment. Your saying double clutching ("race" style) is putting the clutch in, revving the car and releasing the clutch. Where exactly does the "double" come from???? I think your confusing double clutching with slipping the clutch within the shift. Double clutching has 7 steps: 1. Engage clutch 2. Select Neutral 3. Release clutch 4. Rev Engine 5. Engage clutch 6. Select Gear (Usually lower) 7. Release clutch Very helpful on down shifts (if your driving a truck), but if you are in a normal car heel and toe-ing is just as effective. On an upshift, its pointless. by the way, You is spelt with an O. none of this yu ***** please
  10. agreed, and with the ZZE12x rollas it also causes most of the noises in the dash people complain about
  11. i honestly dont believe a work you say when you tell me that 'race drivers' double clutch on upshifts. any real race cars dont use a clutch on upshifts. the quicker the shift, the better. You cant tell me that putting the clutch in, revving the car and releasing the clutch is quick.
  12. They wont get put away. Not even for a night. Awesome stunt. The thing i dont understand is that the cops must have known that the chaser would do something. why on earth werent they ready for it? Did anyone else see the footage of what their 'security' passes had on them?? It had their full names, the chasers war logo, and APEC symbol with JOKE written underneath it, and their security classification was "Insecurity" The cops are dumb. Simple as that.
  13. Thats very interesting, seeing how our stroked 2ZZ makes the same amount of power. Who says u need a blower :P
  14. he know's its inevitable. We've got bets going on when and how.
  15. i love driving dad's evo 9. So much more fun than anything else i've driven. You could spend millions on a corolla, and it wouldn't come close to an evo. Sad, but true.
  16. Simo, when you find the wheels you want, tell the fella u want the wheels in what ever size and width, then tell them u want a PCD of 4x100 and an offset of +45 or +42. Simple. Offset is the distance fromthe centre of the rim, to where the stud holes are. its a + offset when the studs are closer to the outside of the wheel, and a - offset when the stud holes are closer to the inside of the wheel. Basically, the idea behind it is to transplant the weight of the vehicle evenly down the shocks and into the wheels. If you change the centre line, the car wont be as balanced. So you want to stay as close as possible to the standard offset, or if going wider wheels ie 17x7 as opposed to 16x6.5 (or whatever the standard wheels are) get a slightly smaller offset. Hence, +45 or +42 are your best bet cob.
  17. There was a total of 0 Sportivo's built in Japan that came to Australia.
  18. mmmm interesting. Well its been 5 days... i will let you know how the car is next week. Its very perculiar though... i dont know if anyone has been in my car (maybe rob?) but it was always a b1tch to shift in....
  19. He's only on here sparingly... so if it takes a while... sorry :(
  20. I have an issue that someone on here may be able to solve. I've always had problems with my clutch, however i've been too lazy to get it adjusted because it doesnt solve the problem completely, its only a bandaid fix. However... ever since competing in a hillclimb on the weekend, and raping the clutch off the start line, i am now (for the first time ever) completely able to slam it into second gear as hard as i would want at any engine speed. I can land in lift second with wheelspin, where as i used to crunch, or get blocked and could feel the spinning through the gear lever. Thoughts? Perhaps the solution here is to compete in motorsport where clutch abuse is mandatory.
  21. mmm... just remember... wingtips are one of those 'forever' mods
  22. PM Neil Trama. Only info required. Close thread ;)
  23. my centre hole is 55mm?????
