That doesn't make sense... If you are doing 100km/h at 3000rpm, 5th gear gives you 33.3 km/h per 1000rpm. So at 4000rpm, you should be doing 133.3km/h, unless your clutch or tranny is slipping.
I took that pic at Mallala on Sunday. Following the ute is another CAPA sponsored beast, the 850hp Monaro. Still, the smaller cars stole the show for me, especially the AE86's.
Why don't you Melbourne boys go and see if you can look at the car, or better still get Toyota to lend it to the club for a publicity run (i.e. thrash) :D :D
Actually getting some more interest now from dudes at work. If possible, could I pick them up from you on Friday? I work on Port Rd so Hindmarsh could be the go - PM me your work address and whether or not I can pick them up from you there. I'll let you know soon whether I need more than two tickets.
The Group N 'Sportivos' are Neal Bates prepared Corolla bodies fitted with 1994 Group One Celica four-wheel drive turbo running gear. The cars are built to Australian rally regulations which permit other manufacturers to build cars similar to the N4 Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Evos that are dominating local rallying in most areas of the world. The gearbox is fitted with a special straight-cut gear set, but the ratios must be either those of an Impreza or an Evo to ensure no advantage for these N4 prototypes. They are available for sale at a 'capped' price of A$150 000 to ensure they do not remain limited to 'works' teams.
