  1. nice, those alloys look really good.
  2. should be able to make an appearance, has been a few weeks since my last meet.
  3. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Rock the Casbah! Sharif don't like it!
  4. US parts man Adam I assume? He is on holiday soon so I won't bother him. Will probably pickup that TVM one, just torn on whether I ge a TRD knob or a weighted knob.
  5. ahh, had a look at these last night but I was unsure as to weather the gearbox was correct. By the way I also have the fittings for the PCV valve modification as well :)
  6. As the title states, I am looking for a short shifter for my MCV36R Camry. The clutch is worn to hell so I am replacing it with a heavy duty Exedy unit but I thought I might as well have a look at the short shifting route as well. Can anyone point me in a good direction as to where (or perhaps What) I should buy a short shifter for my Camry? Cheers Andrew
  7. Cleaned the throttle body, replacing the oil and oil filter as we speak. Down with stubborn oil filters!
  8. New brakes + pads installed: Pads: QFM HPX (Front and Rear) Front: DBA 4000 Slotted (for ACV40/GSV40R) rotors, Calipers off a GSV40R Aurion Rear: DBA Street Slotted rotors
  9. I would have to disagree. Dad owns a Camry Conquest, Brother owned a Camry Touring and Cousin owns a Vienta Grande. I can say with complete confidence the MCV36R (Camry Sportivo) is the best camry ever made
  10. Almost guaranteed a fix if you know this bloke... lol. I know him personally and seeing him and Anthony in Byron Bay going "blah blah blah you can do it this way... blah blah blah" and I sit there going <_< Yeah man. David is like the king of the Camry. I know, it is amazing. Don't say it too loud though, he might hear and start charging for his advice!
  11. Doing some troubleshooting with Supatouring has revealed that the MAF sensor was loose. I have since reset the ECU and it appears to be back to normal. Have only done single ~70km drive so far but the results are promising so far. Engine + exhaust notes were back as was pickup.
  12. Champagne coloured Gen5 Camry on Fairfield road tonight. Rims were at least 19" and had headlights that were a very non-standard bright bright blue.
  13. Hrmm... Took it into Southside Toyota yesterday and for the first time I was unimpressed with their service. Apparently they can't hook the ECU up to their diagnosing machine thing because of the engine mods (ie - The headers). Apparently, 'some' of my O2 sensors are put on incorrectly (1 before and 1 after the Catalytic Converter). However, from the description Supatouring has told me, it appears that the ONLY 2 O2 sensors are placed correctly. But, according to the Service Advisor this will 'screw up' their machine. Sounds like they had no idea what to do and they just fobbed me off, the dude even suggested some performance shop. No engine fix + no brake install = Andrew being annoyed @ Southside Toyota
  14. No rotors installed... >.> Any TOCAU member keen to earn a carton or two of malty brew or energy drink?!?
  15. I've been told he's the best. How much are the headers setting you back?
  16. hahaha Got word from Adam that the rebuild is complete. Practically getting a new S/C apparently. Awaiting next contact for payment + postage details.
  17. Recently (Wednesday) I noticed that my car doesn't have the same ooomph it used to have. Acceleration is weak as is engine response. For example: High revs + dropping the clutch = very little wheelspin, where before I would get signicantly more wheelspin. Also, dropping back gears for more power definitely doesn't have the same effect it usually has. The exhaust note is not as full as it has been in the past. Fuel is always 98RON. Engine bay appears to be ok, but I don't know what to look for; Who should I take her into to get checked? A toyota dealer or a mechanic? (Keeping in mind the 110k service is 500km away)

Dearest Evan, I just called to say 2 things: 1) New grill looks great, those rims are going to look pretty schmick as well 2) Since you've given up on NOT upgrading, a new computer might not be such a bad idea eh? Kindest Regards Andrew
  19. Spotted a black Gen 5.5 Camry @ the lights on Beaudesert/Ipswich road. Looked like she was lowered and had some great looking mags on. Anyone from here?
  20. 1) Washed it 2) Ordered DBA 4000 Slotted for the fronts, DBA Street Slotted for the rears 3) Ordered QFM HPX pads for front and rear. 4) Got excited.
