  1. Cheaper and easier sounds good Mick. Will just have to find out what which impedance to get
  2. the normal 2jz are 325cc from memory. Current ones are 270cc. Raise your hand if you want to replace my knock sensors when they arrive? *crickets*
  3. I should be sleeping! Even though I know ToyoDIY is poor on mobile, I'm still trying.
  4. Just clearing this up, the fog is a man-made fog made from rubber; not the natural rubbish... my sarcasm meter is broken so I have no idea what is going on.
  5. Haven't done anything for a while so here is an update: Once again, before the annual meet something goes wrong... The dreaded check engine light of doom! It is very likely that I have blown a knock sensor and I am currently in the process of working out a stopgap solution before I get them properly fixed up. It has however, pushed the 'need' to go to 6psi (as fixing the knock sensor requires removal of the supercharger and fuel intake; I might as well add the return fuel rail and 2jz-ge injectors while I am there). So I'm driving at normal 1mz-fe speeds/styles as witnessed by Daryl and Trent last night <_< . However, the 6psi project is going to be slowed somewhat due to major funds being allocated elsewhere (see below). In lighter news: - TRD brake calipers are on the way and I have already sourced a set of Remsa pads to suit - RDA Gold passivated rotors have been ordered and are being done up now, once I get them I will need to have them drilled down to 114.3x5 and have a hub ring made up to convert from 71mm to 62mm. - Due to The Stripclub, I have allocated some 6psi funds towards the 'get the crud out of the garage' project. The Sportivo Accessories bodykit is finally going to be painted and put on next week, rear bar, mirrors and boot will get a respray as well. The dropped bike, dent marks should be going as well. - After abit of reading, apparently the 3vz-fe fuel rails (which are return ones) are a direct bolt on solution for assisting with converting the 1mz-fe to a return setup. After some cursing and learning, I have a set which will suit my needs nicely. Fingers crossed they actually fit; otherwise I might just rage.
  6. Blew a knock sensor. Just great.

  7. Public transport isn't fantastic, but if you know your routes it isn't so bad. Worst case scenario, I can (if available) ferry you around. Would love some tips from the Queen of Cleaning but I would have offered shotgun anyway. Just drive, it's the nature of the beast. I had my bonnet, bar and front lip resprayed 2 weeks before last year's annual meet. Imagine the rage I got getting stuck behind dump trucks and other cars in roadworks areas.
  8. Man Hamish. (how is j-eez censored??) All that junk sales you've been doing has gone to your head. Now you're talking it.
  9. Got sick of getting yelled at for having too much stuff in the garage (which is partly true) so I booked her in to get the Sportivo bodykit put on. Also getting the rear bar, boot and mirrors fixed up as well. Huzzah for not getting yelled at!
  10. Mmm... smash repair booked, bush prices quoted, located a return fuel rail. Productive morning for the Camry.

  11. hahahahahahaha! Trent: You spoilsport. Where is your sense of fun???
  12. We do it right every week Trent. But constant exposure breeds familiarity, which in turns breeds comfort which in turn breeds contempt. We just have to mix it up a little. I'll be out tonight, short a pair of TRD calipers edit: and tomorrow too! <_<
  13. Wonders if the TS-01 is still alive and if so how much they want for it...

  14. I just did a quick google and every site tells me that it has 430KW at the front wheels. What the sh*t...It's got like 200-210HP, which is around 160kW. Jesus Trent. You'd better get your sarcasm meter checked.
  15. You can come to my place and put her up on stands. I can help if you trust me :D
  16. If any of the drivers are remotely like Sam from last week. I'm going to be ******. Not a good idea to Facebook it.
  17. The words 'Bonnet vent' is thrown around alot these days.

  18. That is a fantastic idea. I'm going to get my hands on another set of jack stands.
  19. Anyone can copy an item to make it look genuine (paint, packaging, serial numbers etc) but the quality of the materials used + workmanship is key. Look at what happens with our portable storage devices. There are so many genuine looking USB keys and memory cards out there that are all CCS (cheap Chinese... Stuff). You guys may wish to buy from an unregistered dealer, which is your perogative and thats fine. I however, don't feel it's worth the risk of getting an inferior product. Whatever makes you sleep at night.
  20. Don't thank me, DJKOR posted the link and according to what he is saying; you will need to do a little work afterwards. I can just say, if the 2gr is anything like the 1mz it will react well to the y-pipe modification. The 1mz has a crappy y-pipe that rivals the 2gr. I can't tell you what kind of gains you'll get from these collectors however. Not that expensive Trent. My CES setup in mild steel was $3000 and that does not include a hi-flow cat!
