  1. Hahaha, happened to me as well. My first try was worse than the original, my second try a touch better than original, my third try about a notch up from the original. Will listen to my dad this time and follow all his advice
  2. damn. So much work now on hold. Bad luck man.
  3. Try a wrecker or ebay. It is cheaper + get a shop to spray and fit it for you. As stated above, OEM probably is not necessary.
  4. Yes and no. Now it's: Headlights AND rear spoiler before the national meet. hahahaahaha
  5. SIGH, you TOCAU/Auscam guys are bad... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180497984703#ht_500wt_797 Asking price was $220, got it for $150 so that was nice. I guess.
  6. not buying it. That's the general vibe I've been getting. Even conservative Dave said "BUY IT!!!!!" so I'm leaning towards buy. Replacing the headlights because they are both yellowed (the painting dudes tried their best to fix it, but it's on the inside. Plus the drivers side light gets condensation after the rains). The wing would probably fit in, I have the Sportivo Accessories front lip now (just need the rear lower one), it's lowered and non-standard alloys so it won't be too out of place. Next time she is out I'll give the throttle a little squirt for her. More pics of the wing can be found here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/worklogs/109232-2002-camry-sportivo-v6-manual.html
  7. Same headlights, I don't know if the Gen5.5's will fit and I don't particularly like the blinker part being on the inner side of the lights. Have only seen the optional wing once, on a burgundy Gen 5.0 Azura, it looked alright
  8. Thanks man. Will be putting on replacement headlights before the Annual meet (I assume you'll be attending being a Sydney resident and all?). Spotted this on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CAMRY-HIGH-RISE-SPOILER-GENUINE-/180497984703?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a0684acbf#ht_500wt_804 considering buying it, a little torn though.
  9. Welcome to the forums. I do like the facelift models, despite what some of the Brisbane Aurion owners here say...!
  10. Just going from my MCV36R Sportivo @ 100km: - Make sure it has had the recall work done regarding the headlight ballasts. They'll fix it for free - LH front shock was leaking - Alternator died and needed to be replaced No other major issues in it's life. Very reliable.
  11. I'll enter my car in the comp just to make sure I try to keep the car clean till the meet. :P
  12. I wouldn't say... flying Anthony...! I call it, a spirited acceleration after people walk all over the driving parts in the Emporium area.
  13. Thanks Tash, I couldn't recognise the front with the new paintjob when I first saw it. I was so used to all the stonechips on the bonnet (you can see them in the 'old' pic). Will be at the meet, just organising accomodation. It's a bloody nightmare. edit: patience shouldn't be an issue given how much work you put into keeping yours clean. Funds will definitely be a factor though!
  14. Spot the difference: Old: New: New front. Had the front bar repaired and repainted (there was a big rash on the right hand side which I don't have any pictures of) and the bonnet was stripped and repainted as well. Also had the Sportivo Accessory lip painted and put on. They also fixed up most of the front fenders (for free!) because the owner of the paint shop wasn't happy trying to blend the colours together with all the stonechips in them. Pictures are pretty lame because of the crap lighting and crappy camera as well. More pictures below:
  15. Spotted Rowan's ex-3L3GNT on deakin street this afternoon. Omg it looks hot, first time i have seen it in the flesh
  16. PRAISE THE LORD. Didn't know there was an Opera broswer for the iPhone. Problem solvered!
  17. Will be there sometime tomorrow pending work xommittmets. Hopefully with the new lip on and a fresh cost of paint on he bonnet and front bar
  18. Novelty + laziness Seriously though, after using the Smart Entry, you just don't want to go back to using a normal key. I don't know... I've had driven my mums Lexus around a few times and I really couldn't care either way. ;)

    Filling up

yeah I've had that happen. No biggie I don't think, just don't use that pump again.
  20. Count me in officially. Exam timetable is good... (for the Meet, not for me 4 exams in 6 days. Ugh).
  21. Nothing. I let Brenndan and the crew @ the Handwash Car Cafe wash it for me.
