  1. AAMI will keep on repairing my car until its fixed, i dont give two flying pigs. just the flanged parts mark, the welds we checked on the middle of the pipes that were butt welded didnt have any leaks. basically they just have to heat up the welds enough to melt it and cover the holes. as for the cat side, they have to use another flange as far as i'm concerned.
  2. one of aami's repairers damaged my vechicle when they checked out the noise. yes, my exhaust comes with warranty. its got 4 leaks so far i'll have a word with them tomorrow about it when i see them. if they dont fix it, sh#ts going to hit the roof
  3. +2, i MAY check it out if i can be bothered... its all the way in the eastern suburbs
  4. funny that... they did say they use TIG welder... im not fussed about the welds look on the outside. its the inside that i'm worried about. i'm going to tellthem to get rid of that small protrusion inside the exhaust over fill. that and as long as there are NO leaks as for the piping, the flanges and the piping itself are stainless. the only thing that is mild are the brackets to hang the piping.
  5. Quite the contrary dude. I've had both the Enkei RPF1's and also Rota Slipstreams; copy wheels of Desmond Regamasters'. I flew of the track at 130kph, spun 360 degrees and hit the gravel 2inch from the circuit and didn't even dent or bend ANY of the wheels even managing to lodge a stone inbetween my semi slicks and the wheels.. go figure. then johnnieboi had to use chopsticks to get it out... ohh yeahhhh!!!
  6. i hear you, the middle of the piping are OK, but me and johnnieboi will check them out tomorrow morning as well. when i take it back i'm going to ask johnnieboi to come with me to make sure they fix it PROPERLY. we're gonna stand there and watch them tidy up the welds for me. last time i told them i wanted to check it onthe hoist but they were closing so we didnt have time to do that. this time i'm going to bring soapy water and check it again before the car gets off the hoist. they chose the wrong person to f##k with.
  7. This is what happens when you leave ur car to careless people. i gave the car to aami to look at the clunking noise when i'm driving and the repairers didnt even bother to look at the driveshaft. when i requested the report, they just even typed up on the report: "test driven the vechicle" "cannot fault drive shaft" "cannot find any uncommon noises when driving" cannot fault drive shaft? how can you bloody tell? did they take off the wheel to inspect it? no they didn't. i would have known as there would have been finger prints on the rim, my lock nut was in the exact place i left it when i left the car at the assessing centre too. so i knew thet didnt even touch the car apart from "test driving it". rang up aami up this morning and blasted them. they then said they will ring me again on monday and get this problem resolved. i told them if this time it doesnt get fixed i'm just going to change companies. aami have handled my claim badly and so they should be mentioned in this post. im getting a free rental car when my cars being fixed as well. not only they didnt fix the noise, they damaged my car also. not happy well i did buff out the marks but the dent and the deep marks are still there.
  8. OK this is the reason why its "buzzing" check this out... 3 leaks so far. this one at the cat end. the flange is probably not flush with the gasket and cat back. as you can see the left one is the one between the cat and cat back. the right one is between the varex and the end of the catback. u can see clearly the soot is perfectly sealed and its not leaking. the rust i'm not sure where its coming from? but it wont rust unless there is water right? where is water coming from? its only leaking out on the cat flanged end. u can see the soot on the bottom of the flange. plus there is a small leak only when we sprayed soapy water around the weld. the welds look messy i will ask them to clean it up all around the flanges when i see them next week. 2nd leak is at the tail end of the cat back... gonna get this fixed too... no wonder i dont feel a gain at all after upgrading the exhaust <_<
  9. i'll take some pictures later on today and post them up.
  10. i found a dent and a scratch that wasnt there before i put the car in for check up at insurance. not happy.... >=[

  11. definately a buzzing sound from 5k upwards. i didnt notice it now until my friend told me. maybe if i create a little back pressure it would be ok? would a hot dog do this? im going to pull my cat back apart for you guys to look at it today. check the welds if there are any leaks and what not in the exhaust piping
  12. recently I got a 2.5 inch piping on the Sportivo. but it buzzes on high rpm mainly in lift. i heard from a mate that exhaust buzzing is too much back pressure being lost and its causing a decrease in power. its proven time and time again that the 2.5 inch exhaust has proven to at least give me a gain in top end which was my goal from the beginning. if this is the case of the power issue, should I get a resonator for the piping to stop the buzzing? would there be any damage to the engine if I keep driving with the buzzing? cheers guys.
  13. holy shit hahhaha my apoligizes
  14. hey mate, can you stop being a smart alec? post something that helps or dont post anything at all.
