  5. received this in the mail today thanks to xoom had a close look at those welds in the pipes... now i haven't looked at other headers before but comparing to this pic... the welds don't seem THAT bad... at the start of the header seems very restrictive. i'll take a before and after picture when peter @ head2head's finished with them.
  6. I've got the red illuminated scuff plates. BKS had installed them when he owned the car, but never got around to wiring them up. I would assume they are held down with double sided tape too. pi$$ easy then
  7. if ur talking about the oem scuffs, u need to remove those to access the wires underneath. if ur talking about just the illuminated ones, depends on how their stuck down... i used double sided tape (3M one). if its super glue and the wires are tucked inside? gg for you. if not, ur laughing. but please do wrap the part of the wire that goes along the metal to the wire looms underneath with duct tape as opening/closing the doors will cut the wires causing a short thru the wiring system
  8. this is so BS, you are NOT ALLOWED TO be lower than my car LOL :P we can do it on the road if you like. or u can raise your car abit haha :P im waiting on brimbank council to fix all the cross overs on main rd east since they fixed SOME of the footpath already. but i reckon this isnt happening any time soon -_-

  14. ok folks another stuuuuuuupit question: i bought castrol windscreen washer fluid for my car ages ago but i looked on the bottle it said 1.2% ammonia v/w. then i thought: ammonia = bleach = bad on paint = true? then i thought, i'm diluting it 25ml:2000ml water so it wouldn't be as bad?
  15. LOL that girl got owned, and also, MJ got owned too
  16. its actually foam? is it black? sits on top of the tyre right?
  17. courtesy of guni and evltwn, we all concluded it maybe the starter motor... this is because of your previous post stating its clicking sounds, but yes as xoom said go to a battery place and ask them to check out with a voltmeter (this should be free btw). with addition to this, if the reading fluctuates alot (ie from 8 to 14 volts back and forth), your alternators past its due date GL mate
  18. *sigh* ... Toyota quoted me $805 for a new "alternator, parts and labour". Is that about right ... and does anyone know other places to get Toyota alternators, new or reconditioned? If ur car turns over when u start its not the battery. If ur car doesnt turn over (ie doesnt make any noise what so ever) its the battery. U can also turn on the lights when the car isnt on and see if they either fade out or dont turn on at all. If at night and u got ur lights on and engine running and then the lights go brighter when u give a bit of throttle, ur alternators gone Im on my iphone so i cant check whether u amswered these questions yet: 1) how old is your battery. Batteries usually last 3 to 4 years. There is a marker when ur battery was fitted in the battery 2)flickering lights occurs randomly? 3)loosing any power on aceleration? If your alternator requires replacement, just get it reconditioned by any auto electrican place. It will but as good as buying a new one and it will save u a lot of coin
  19. ok... resetted the ECU and drove like a grandpa for 7 days... over almost 500kms i used 8.2L/100km! :D the best i ever had on pure city driving... shifting at 3 to 3.5k, no lift... -_- but after i refueled up lift like a crazy mofo LOL
