  3. i'm looking for those ones here http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/4789/u0081yc4.jpg they currently have the blue ones on ebay if anyone is interested but they have an ugly box around the corolla word so i just emailed them to see if they have this one... from HK cheers
  4. go to toyota spare parts in deer park, they got EVERY SINGLE toyota you can think of there. I just got my rear scuff plates cuz the old ones clips had gone to ****. Got the japanese ones :D from the levins they ARE the same colour right? the interior only comes in tan and dark grey... perhaps they are a bit dirty and need a good clean :)
  5. that's a bit pricey, i can get the clutch installed for $1,100. did the $1,500 include the brakes as well? and what brand are the shocks and springs? keep shopping around. doing up second hand car's a bitch :(
  6. how don't you... mine actually scrubs the inner guard over hard bumps, hard bumps on the highway lol :P it may have something to do with running 45's instead of 40's lol Evo haha brissy roads are prolly a bit different to melb and perth?:D Yeah they are smoother...... :P i'm jealous , how are the speed bumps there? aren't they supposed to be higher than melbourne's? i'd hate to drive my car there scratching on each one i pass over Dude how fast are you going over the speed humps? I don't scrape on any humps whatsoever, except one at uni which is such a bitch to get over I have to admit most of Perth roads are pretty good, just some of them are poop. i dont go that quick, very slow in fact. i still just manage to clear on some speed bumps here... you guys and QLD are the best at planning for the future... VIC and NSW roads are stuck in like 30 years ago. Esp syd. those roads are horrific i blame it on the recent tremors we had! :D

  8. first what happened? for me, i just super glued the antenna back on... the base it was actually just split and the female part of the screw flew out attached to the stick of the antenna... <_< another place is the wreckers, u can get both top and bottom for like 30 bucks.

  10. crap, yeah my bad. I meant scraping...
  11. thats becuz you're in wodonga :P u interested in syd or melb meet? i dont think there is any in melb yet, though i only looked in the meets section on this forum <_< and NO oral sex is NOT part of the deal LOL
  12. biatch, wanna trade cars? LOL :D
  13. i'm guessing the re001's are the most expensive? i haven't looked at the others... but the yokohamas are liek 200 bucks each i'm like screw that. He recommended the re001s and he said he'd do it for me for 165ea... btw SD, pumped up my tyres to 40psi, and like WOW, the handling is so much better and in lift feels faster too? even my wife thinks it handles better too (although abit stiff hehe) :D
  14. dude, mines lowered on super lows and scrubs like anyone's business. I even get the occasional "BANG" which breaks my heart as I go over humps i didn't see. not to mention the time i got scratched by another car while doing charity work! i gotten over it though LOL sorry, to answer your question, depends on you. if you can't stand it looking at it with the scratches, then yeah go for your life. but knowing its a daily and u WILL scratch it again, and the occasional shopping trolley and door bash. u can't help it mate. IMO, i wouldn't repair it UNLESS its really bad and its affected the metal panels. I'm talking about deformed panels and not the small dents and stuff. I couldn't care less about the fiber glass unless its really messed up :)
  15. best to replace the internals (aka reco). Can last u the same life span as you would to get a new one ;)
  16. Contrary to popular opinion higher pressure actually gives more grip in the wet as it prevents the channels from narrowing as the tyre loads up Plus it reduces rolling resistance and improves fuel economy. Tyres will have a max pressure on them somewhere, even then there is a factor of safety involved anyway. yeah i thought it was 40 psi and it says on the tyre if i;m correct...
  17. that's alright melbourne's dry most of the time. i would like the increased response :P
  18. I run 40 psi all round. whoa, can u carry a moderate load on that without the tires popping SD? I would imagine its a daily like me as i go to work and do deliveries and stuff (fish n chip deliveries that is :P)
  19. oh ok lol, my dad still calls it a fan belt, (he hasn't owned a car pro 1981 LOL:D) and does the 2zz have the automatic belt tensioner?
  20. I run the 595 EVO's on the commo, they seem to be able to keep 500hp under control, dont belive everything you read. I was also surprised at how well the Commo avoided wheelspin on a passenger run. Obviously Corey wasn't trying to break traction, but seemed to grip just fine. Also, be careful with tyre 'reviews' they are very biased towards who is paying the most advertising space to them ;) I've seen some dodgy results in those tests and no longer look at them because of it. KU36 are good, but they are no semi slick, just like the 595. As for distance from the RE001 Dad has got 45,000 km from both of his sets. I haven't worn mine out yet (only done 20,000 km on them). Just make sure your individual (not cross) toe is set to zero. nice, what pressure would u recommend? i currently run my fronts on 35psi and my rears on 34psi
  21. wow 3 years is good! I do SOME spirited driving and expect me to go to winton every now and then after the tyres and possibly the struts are in, but def not every day :P ur friends proably doing 30,000 each year then! if hes on high way driving for 30 to 40 mins
  22. Hey Kenshin, they're a good price, I got mine fitted and balanced for $167 each :) I dunno about that $240 each, sounds like drivel to me ;) To OP, if only we had such magical tires ;) I've ran Yoko C-Drives, Yoko S-Drives and RE001s... RE001s walk all over them in all departments :) Will be trying Pirelli P-Zeros later :) We all have different tolerances and views on aspects of tires (like any other thing eg exhaust) so even if someone says its comfortable like riding on clouds, it might not be like that for you ;) hey dread, how much mileage can you get from the 001s?
  23. yeah that's the same picture i was looking at. that's strange... i thought it was called the drive belt, as said in the manual and the picture where its from... confused much?
  24. hey guys, with the drivebelt for the 2zz engines, do u just loosen 2 bolts and take the belt off? tried to take it off on the weekend but i think i was tryin to spin the wrong one. the manual shows that its not even on a pulley, but it didn't make it clear, cheers guys
  25. need more info for people to PM u eviltwin, lol ;)
