  1. Well done guys. Looks like it was an awesome outing for sure. I hope to be able to make the next one ;) So, how many cars were there in total?
  2. Am glad it's sorted. It could have happened after all the dust we got in Sydney last time. The MAF sensor can only fail because of contamination, so I doubt it has anything to do with earthing and/or electrical.
  3. I probably can if I know what the Corolla Hatch is called overseas LOL :) The sedan is called Altis overseas, so am not sure what they call the hatch version. (mini Altis??) hahahaha :)
  4. Yep they do. Exactly the same set-up as the black lens ones, except chrome. Here is a pic of the ones I got
  5. Can you post a pic of the your MAF sensor so I can have a look at the pins you have? HERE is the procedure to test the MAF sensor on a 2003 Corolla, so check if the pins on your MAF sensor are similar. You will need an Ohmmeter and Voltmeter to do this test.
  6. Yeah, am waiting for mine to arrive. I decided to get the chrome version however as I thought they'll be a bit brighter than a black lens.
  7. One more JDM style bodykit The cost of this one is the cheapest of all of the above bodykits, at US$630.00 (incl. shipping from Japan)
  8. Did you try to measure resisitance and voltage of the MAF sensor pins to determine if it's working correctly or not?
  9. The last fuel tank lasted me for 420kms and the fuel consumption dropped to 10LT/100kms which is an improvement, so maybe the ECU is still adjusting to my driving style ;)
  10. After giving the Rolla the wash it deserved from the dust of yesterday, I have added a bit of chrome to it ;) This time, I scored a chrome self sticking strip like the one used on bumpers and applied these strips to the front grille to make it stand-out a bit more The chrome adhesive strip fits perfectly in the existing grooves and I think it looks nice. Also fitted mud-flaps which I got from Toyota for $73.00 bucks a set.
  11. Am sorry guys, I can't make it, as it turns-out that the wife got the kids booked for every birthday party on earth, so she's gonna need the Rolla all day on Saturday
  12. Hi Pete, if you mean the nasho entrance at Loftus, am OK to wait for you guys there. There is a huge car park just before the entrance to the national park near the Loftus Soccer Ground. If you could let us know the time you'll get there, I'll make sure am there 15 minutes before that. I'll send you this message by PM as well.
  13. Thanks guys. For the indicators, I have ordered the chrome bulbs to make them invisible inside the lens, I don't think am gonna put LEDs in there or the reverse spot, as these are bright enough, actually mich brighter than the factory indicators and reverse lights due to the design of the lens.
  14. Hi Guys, One of the above-mentioned mods has been added today and I can reveal it here ;) It's the ZRE sedan complete tail light replacement and swap with LED style tail lights Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure (click on the photos to view them in full size): Now, here is where your opinion is needed again, yes, it's those chrome tail light surrounds again. hahahaha :) Here are pics showing these tail light with and without the chrome garnishes, so you tell me which looks better The wife and kids all said, put the chrome garnishes back on, the rolla looks much better with them :) Just some feedback about these LED Tail Lights, they're super bright indeed and exceeded my expectations for sure. They look awesome in daylight as well as night-time and fitting them was a breeze, straight plug 'n play and the harnesses were 100% compatible.
  15. Well done. The 08 Corolla Ascent should go under the ZRE pack ;)
  16. THESE guys have aftermarket fog light kits for most cars, their website is currently under maintenance so you can't see them, but try giving them a call and they'll tell if they have them. They were priced at around $269.00/set from memory when I was shopping around fro X-Trail fog lights.
  17. Very nice indeed mate. Love the ZRE in Black, Looks awesome!
  18. Out of all these so far, I like the last style as well. Just checking shipping costs and if all OK, it'll be the style am gonna get. I actually like the 2-tone rear bumper too. Breaks-up the colour a bit.
  19. Yet another version of the ZRE sedan bodykit ;) This one is from Thailand.
  20. There seems to be quite a lot of competition between Toyota and Honda overseas, so much so that they have taken their fight to the suburban streets to show who has the "upper" hand More info. HERE
  21. I am having one fitted in the Rolla as I noticed great degree of body roll and body flex, especially with the mother in law sitting at the back LOL :) Am actually thinking of fitting a rolling cage too Don't care about anyone else noticing it in my engine bay, as I know it works and worked on all my previous cars.
  22. The performance of a strut bar has nothing to do with having the suspension lowered or factory set-up, you usually add a strut bar to reduce body flex and body roll during cornering, so yes, you will notice a difference when you fit one, even with stock suspension. It all depends on how hard you take corners though ;) I wouldn't buy one of those el' cheapo ones for 50 bucks either, especially the ones that flex around the mounting bases as these will do and achieve nothing and will just sit in your engine bay for show.
  23. A couple of significant mods will be added soon, hopefully in time before the Gong Meet-up, it all depends if am gonna get the goodies early next week or not ;)
  24. Yes sorry, it only joins 2 bolts together, I got it confused with the X-Trail one which joins all 3 bolts. But even in your case, it's a good idea to remove it, cause the base won't sit flat on the tower if the strut bar you're fitting requires all 3 bolts.
