  1. Yeah, they're not cheap and that's for sure. Do you have company names and/or sources in Asia I could approach about these to suit the Altis maybe, as the links you have given me all talk about these Clazzio seat covers.
  2. Hi M M, As this my first trip with the club, are there any special rules and regulations I (and other new comers) need to be aware of? Also, are kids welcome to attend this event as asked previously?
  3. Thanks mate. I guess we can meet-up at Sutherland and head to the meet-up point in a mini convoy you and I.
  4. I received a response from the 11i-usa guys and the price of these seat covers is US$500 plus US120 shipping, but they advised that they're not sure if these seats covers will fit my ZRE because they designed them to fit the left hand drive corolla in the US and never sold them to an Australian customer before. I am not sure what differences are there between the seats of the US corolla and ours and don't want to risk spending that kind of money to find-out they don't fit :(
  5. Haha, whaddya mean someone's gotta represent the shire? :P You're not the only one you know :P Hehe. That was a trick line to fish you "shire boyz" out of the crowd. hehehehe ;) That makes 2 of us from the shire then :)
  6. Thanks mate, some great selection there for sure. I'll email them for a price.
  7. I know Kevin, damn mother in law weighs a ton. hahahaha :) If I do decide to go that route then just lowering the car won't be enough, it will drag a whole heap of other mods with it which I don't wanna do to this "family" car ;)
  8. Thanks Dave, am not using any accelerators, but I think I found the cause. In IE8 there is a "compatibility view" button right next to the "refresh" button that was activated/pressed. As soon as I clicked on it to de-activate it, everything went back to normal, so I guess the website coding doesn't like this compatibility view feature, so I'll view the website without it. All is OK now. P.S. I tried FireFox as well and it doesn't have this problem.
  9. Fair enough mate. It's not everyone's kinda theme and it's not finished yet as I just found a whole lot more of it ;) I do, but am not doing it. hahahahaha
  10. Hi Guys, Can you please put me down as a "maybe" as the Nissan X-Trail outing is now happening one week before this one, so I might be able to join you in the red Rolla. Someone gotta represent "The Shire" LOL ;) Also, is this a family event and are kids welcome to join us? Seeing that most will be driving topless and some exposed rear ends are being mentioned, am not so sure. hahahaha
  11. Don't like using Firefox as it doesn't display colours naturally and adds a colout theme of its own. ;) I don't think it's the screen resolution that is causing it in my case either. I have a 20" monitor. I still think it's IE8 compatibility issue, so next time it happens I will switch on to the FireFox browser I have on stand-by and see if it'll do it there as well.
  12. Nah mate, not for this ride. The wife and kids won't need a lowered Rolla, especially when the mother in law sits at the back LOL :) And I can't trust my wife with an expensive set of rims ;) The rolla is being modded very conservatively with practicality in mind with a bit of spice in the looks department.
  13. Here you go guys. It happened just now with the advert displayed in the middle of the page I was viewing
  14. Thanks vinh, you got an awesome ride too mate. Guys, I looked everywhere for those damn leather seats off a ZRE Altima sedan but I can't find them anywhere. Has anyone got connections with some wreckers who can help me out?
  15. I'll take a screen-shot next time it happens. It could well be an Internet Explorer 8 compatibility issue.
  16. Hi Guys, Not sure if it's the way my browser set-up, but every now and then I keep getting those adverts stuck in the middle of the page am viewing and the only way to get rid of them is to click on them to display the advert. I am sure this maybe the way the site admin has set it up to either generate revenue or get better exposure and ranking on Google, but please can we have these adverts disappear for at least Silver Members? :) Maybe that will be enough incentive for other members to upgrade their membership status ;) Just a thought.
  17. Thanks Guys, Time to shop around for some Philips Crystal or Diamond vision bulbs.
  18. I can cross-off the reverse sensors and the LED rear bumper reflectors from the above list ;) I was lucky enough to find colour-coded reverse sensors (on eBay of course) that very closely match the colour of the car and other good thing about these sensors is that they're wireless, so no need to run wires all the way to the dash. The LED reflectors operate as parkers and brake lights. Now there can be no excuse for someone to say...."I didn't see you brake" :D

  20. Yep, that's exactly what am suggesting. Have more moderators in each of the forum sections who can be responsible to look after their own car sections. Give these moderators the power to tidy-up the existing posts/topics in these sections to give a helping hand to the site admin, as it's one hell of a task to re-structure and move around posts all by one admin.
  21. Hi Guys, Here is my observation and feedback as a new member who used the Corolla section to find information when I joined the site last month. 1. It was extremely difficult to find information relating to my model without reading through other un-related topics first. Yes, even with the search engine. This may have caused me to duplicate some of the questions I have posted because I couldn't find some of the information I was looking for and later found the answer buried in a completely un-related topic. 2. In most cases, when I make a reply or a post in a thread where I want to receive notifications about (of new replies), I wouldn't get these notifications, even though I clearly mark the "subscribe to email notifications" 3. Most of the new topics are being started and created without a model specific subject title, therefore making it harder to see and search on unless you actually go into that thread and see what it is about. The above makes me want to agree with your proposal to split the Corolla section into relevant sub-sections, but as an administrator of another site myself, I know that it is indeed hard work to do the house-keeping of moving every single thread to the corresponding section and manage the new topics being created ongoing. This could however be achieved by appointing a few helping hands who will be able to help with the house-keeping and monitor the new topics to ensure they fall within the new guidelines for posting in the correct sub-section and with the correct subject title that is model specific.
