  1. Damn, another one bites the dust because of that hose. IMO Toyota should pay it, yes no? After all there is a recall for that part because it will one day burst. I've had mine changed luckily. FYI
  2. Man, I'm dying for some pictures of some information on this new Aurion. The anticipation is killing me lol.
  3. 85k been exactly 30k since I bought her also got a full tank of BP ultimate. mmmmm :)
  4. I just checked mine and mine is not a cable tie. It's the same type of clip as DJKOR's.
  5. Guess that just all depends on where you live and also where you work in relation to home, but yeah you certainly have a point. I think it was SilverAurion who mentioned how almost pointless just over 200kw is when you’re sitting at the speed limit and have a buzzbox passing you at 0.5km/h faster lol. Having twice the power meant nothing then! Lmao, yeah that sounds like something I would say. Can't believe you remember that
  6. Is anyone on toyotas Facebook like page? Their latest picture on their wall looks like the aurion under that cover. What you think?
  7. Pics + specs + pics + specs + pics + specs!!!!
  8. You do know the spark plugs cost me only $84 for those same ones you have? :S You do realise he mentioned "spark plug replacement" so he isn't saying the spark plugs themselves cost $250. Chance are the plugs cost around $150 or so and they added $100 for the labour involved in that. So realistically, the difference is not as huge as you make it seem. That's still a big difference for me. Definitely a huge difference in my eyes. The way things are going these days with the price of everything sky rocketing, every cent you spend these days counts. I was jus trying to help the guy out so he will be more aware next time. Wasn't trying to make him feel bad about his purchase.
  9. You do know the spark plugs cost me only $84 for those same ones you have? :S Strangely you're not making me feel any better about being bent over by the main dealer :) Well hey, at least you're still smiling ;).

  11. Nah, I believe ya. I had a feeling it would be the camera shot. Also, can't believe I'm about to hit 90K in my car. I'm on 85K at the moment and my service is due next month. I should hit almost exactly 90K by then. First time ever I've serviced because of KM's and not time. lol
  12. That image you quoted was a photo taken of the spark plug that came out out my engine which was fitted at factory. It was the stock DENSO part. If you think it looks fatter, take a macro shot of your plugs from and compare it, because things look different when comparing an enlarged photo to the actual part. On that note, looks like Toyota have changed their packaging (not that it matters) because when I ordered my first set of plugs directly from Toyota spares, they came in DENSO branded packaging. Shame they didn't change the price to a better one while they were at it. I thought this would be the case of just the camera making it look like that. Just double checking :)
  13. I'd like to retract my statement from before and say that the chance of changing the spark plugs without removing the intake plenum (referred to as surge tank in the manual), is pretty damn slim. Hehehe, got mine for $118 a set. But yeah, the tips of my plugs were in great condition. It's good to know it was working well. Kudos to them for managing to get that bolt off without removing the windscreen hardware. I tried everything to get around it but just couldn't. I had to resort to the service manual method. Speaking of which, I will do a quick guide (a rough one) to show what to do to access the spark plugs on the rear bank. Refer to next post. DJKOR, what spark plugs were in your car? Your tips look much fatter than my FK20HR11.
  14. Well that was damn quick. I ordered Yesterday at about 12.30 and I just got my stuff now. That's fast postage from Sydney to Melbourne! For $84.90 looks like a I got a good deal compare to others on here :)
  15. Sounds promising. When are we going to see something official -_- HAHA i could.... BUT... I like my job lol... vehicles whole sale mid next month so specs will be released very soon. But if you put 2 and 2 together you get??? Put it this way in terms of spec and features i don't think anybody will be disappointed and there will be a model to suit current owner’s needs and those new customers looking for a luxury prestige vehicle. Current model line up continues including the two tier Sportivo line up. Great news is you can really decide to either go down the sports or luxury line or not really lose any features. Couple of minor ones here and there but mid and top range sport and luxury models now align in terms to spec closer than 40 series did. Awesome man. Can't wait :)

  17. That one comes to over $107 delivered. Searching on eBay there is another listing in Australia which come to $84 delivered. Did you search for FK20HR11 or something else? Yea I did, can you please link me to the website. http://www.ebay.com....#ht_1142wt_1396 Awesome thanks man. I owe you one. Before I bought these I called up my two local Toyota dealers. See if they can do better so I can pick it up locally. One quoted $40 each and one quoted $36.38 each. ****** me is all I gotta say! Didn't even bother to ask them to price match $12.50 each after hearing those prices lol. I just bought these off the guy. Will report back on my experience dealing with this guy etc and when plugs are in etc :)

  20. Well there you go it is too. See, it's these small things that could be in the FAQ as well I suppose lol. Some people don't have the owners manual too.
  21. What price range should I be looking at these days: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6-Pieces-Denso-FK20HR11-Long-Life-Iridium-Spark-Plugs-/120839287743?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c229533bf Found that. Can someone source these for a better price else where?
  22. I just went to the FAQ because I forgot the product code for the spark plugs for our Aurions and noticed there isn't even anything on the FAQ about spark plugs. That would be a good update.
  23. I just realised my next yearly service is next month! (I can't believe it's been a year already). I do the additional services myself in between (shhh, don't tell Toyota :P). I have to take it to the mechanics as I still have extended warranty, but I'll be supplying all parts. Where is the best place to buy the spark plugs? Is it still ebay from the US? DAMN, so regretting not buying them off ebay when the AU dollar was really really high against the US dollar.
  24. Hi mate, I'd like you help you out a bit and give you some info on proper operation of the recirculation control in the Aurion from personal experience. Firstly, just double checking you know that when the green light is ON that's should recirculate air inside the car, with the green light OFF that's on fresh mode, air from outside. Secondly, unsure about law about it being completely sealed (never heard that before) but I can say that when I turn my recirc on because a smelly diesel vehicle is in front of me it completely cuts the smell. Nothing enters the car. So it should be the same with you. On some cars you can hear the mechanics moving around when you hit recirc but I have never noticed that sound with the Aurion at all. In fact, (I think most other Aurion owners will know this) that after you turn recirc on (or off, I'm not 100% sure). Stay in the car and have all windows up, and listen very carefully, you can actually hear the recirc (which I'm sure it is) moving. I think that when you turn the car off the recirc either opens up or closes automatically. You can always hear it several seconds after you turn the car off.
  25. That front reminds me of this so much: http://www.motoringmatters.com.au/images/ecocar/downloads/Autonews/Ford%20GE.jpg
