  1. i was in AWE when i saw this car... to see the frontbar actually fitted and painted.. even with the imperfections i thought it looked great. but yea with my car i want it installed as close to perfect as possible... i think it was the accident which makes it look worse than it looks.
  2. this statement was taken from the xracing.com.au website: "All X-Customs work requires booking and face to face discussion of your intentions, NO quotations will be given via email or over the phone. Please understand that all custom work requires time to complete, for example a custom front bumper will be impossible to complete in one week. We will give you estimation of time required and make sure you come with a smile and leave with a smile." this isnt just for fitting, its custom work which means that the bumper should fit almost perfectly without obvious gaps and imperfections. i can appreciate that it would take at least 2-3 days if you know what you are doing... but if they charge per hour... GEEZ... looks like i might have 2 save up. anyways, the biggest imperfections are the gaps around the headlights and the grille... and yea all 4 screws cant be screwed in without some serious warping.
  3. fibreglass kit would be a bit much... bodyfiller should have been enough
  4. id rate it at 50%. the front bar is attached by 4 screws, 2 on each end of the grille and 1 on each wheel well. with just the 2 grille screws attached, the actual grill fits correctly, while the other 2 are all over the place. you can see on the pic below, the front bar around the grille isnt perfect... hard 2 explain, but the stock front bar is a much more tight fit. i took this pic at one of the monthly meets and the owner of this car actually removed the reinforcement so the lower airvents look really good. unfortunately the guy got into some sort of accident which explains the cracking in certain areas... and he definately wasnt happy with carmates installation. btw im still looking for a panelbeater that can do this job. racingx looks like a decent place but its a bit 2 far and their website says they need more than a week - thats an eternity without my car! so i might have to wait until i get a 2nd car (probebly a van) so i wont have to go without. every other place that i emailed has not replied to me - so POO ON them. i will name and shame once i remmber their links... hmph! if/when i get this thing installed, im gonna make sure to check how well it fits b4 i give the goahead to paint. last thing i want is to find the thing painted and i see an imperfection i cant live with.
  5. hey dude, where bout are you located in aus? how much were you willing to spend on a car? is the 4wd really necessary for you - your job/local driving terrain?
  6. geeez... they dont even say what year of corolla, colour, rims or if it was modified... what kinda "spotted" post is that? lol
  7. i yahoo'd "ae95r" and found this in 1 second. AE95R REVIEW - DRIVE.COM.AU should have some info you would find useful.
  8. you could be resourceful and make phonecalls to europe and order in parts from up that way like HAMMER did with his TTE spoiler. i got my altezza tail lights for my 2003 rolla in 2005... i noticed them on corollas for a while b4 then, so maybe at least year for things like that? my guess is theyll be available here long after they become available in europe or japan.
  9. by the time you get enough donations im sure someone would ahve come out with an aftermarket set of tail lights to suit your rolla, so just be patient.
  10. you could try to prove us wrong buy putting up the $$$ to test out the part to see if it fits... but its not going to be a straight fit. take a good long hard look at the US matrix.. its nothing close to the aussie corolla!?!
  11. the only US bodyparts ive seen that can be put onto an aussie corolla/runx are the m3 side mirrors + indicators, and other ricey bits like chrome plastic doorhandles. any aftermarket US corolla head light/fog light/tail light isnt going to fit! so unless they sold the auris/current model corolla up in the US, dont waste your money on US body parts.
  12. It doesnt need to show the amount. The person you supply to will retain the form with their paperwork as evidence as to why they didnt withold 48.5%. You only ever need to supply the Statement By Supplier to a customer once... precisely, however by doing a didgy excel spreadsheet and not declaring, when dealing with businesses, they must withold 48.5% witholding tax unles they are provided with an ABN or a Statement By Supplier. Should the business be audited and can show that paid Jase (or anyone else) then the ATO will further audit the payee, then Jase is in more poo that a poof's doodle without a rubber please do not put my name in the same sentance as the words "poo", "poof's doodle" and "without a rubber" in the same sentence! MUAHAHAHHAHHAALOLROTFLMAOWTFAZZA!!!?!
  13. miikey it would probebly be better if you at least knew the road address of the caravan park instead of depending on the gps to locate it
  14. yea thats kinda true - my gps does tell me to go the long way round when i tried it going to my parents house or work, but if i do decide to stray off the GPS's directions, it automatically changes its instructions to suit. since the gps is in my mobile, i can take the plunger phone holder off the windscreen and not worry bout theft like that.
  15. the statement by supplier doesnt show anything about how much the service costs... is there another sheet i fill in for this?
  16. thanks for the help azza! i frikken hate doing tax... wouldnt know where to start with it EDIT- so i guess for the purposes of the website i should fill in the supplier by a supplier form yea? i dont plan on opening up a business as a webmaster or anything...
  17. i didnt really purchase it.. the nokia 6110 navigator came free when i upgraded my plan with optus! it works a treat though! nokia dont actually make the maps, they got someone else to make the software... i guess i gotta buy an upgrade if its available from the software company... its "route 66" apparently... they got maps all over the world apparently... EDIT: just found out it costs $169.99 US to upgrade?! sucks... route 66 gps
  18. heres the thing - i am a jack of all trades so to speak... (high school teacher/tutor/amateur webdesigner amongst other things) and i basically want to be able to give my pupils/customers a proper receipt/tax invoice/account whenever people pay me for my services. for instance, my mate whos paying me to develop his website is going to pay me a 4 figure sum for building the site from the ground up. thats a big chunk of cash from his business to give to someone and i cant even give him a recipt?! im guessing i need to register as a business, but then again im only doing small things here and there on a part time basis.. not planning on opening a shop front or anything like that... so what do i need? what should i do? i know id need an ABN, but do i need a business tfn? im very confused - the ATO website makes me go crosseyed i cant make sense of the info. please help! thanks in advance... jase
  19. i think the trucker types would more appreciate the TACOMA that came out in the US.... if only the TRD hilux had that kinda face... *drroooooolzzz* its rear wheel drive people! WAKE UP toyota AUSTRALIA!
  20. its the central locking... not necessarily your remote.. i had this similar problem on my old ford laser which didnt have central locking but i ended up buying the cheap d!ck smith 1s for like $30 and got my cousin to install it. (i did not install a keyless entry, it only had a remote for switching on/off the alarm) i had 2 double n triple check the car b4 i left it.
  21. yea if its made for US models, dont waste your money. they can be misleading when they describe their items as "JDM", it does not mean that they are anything like the runx/aussie model of corollas.
  22. gday, just wondering where the rest of you prefer to mount your gps units? i just got a nokia 6110 navigator and i cant think of a decent place to put it so its visable, yet out of the way of everything else. also, the gps maps in my nokia is a 2006 version. how do you get the latest version into this phone?
