  1. from what ive read it looks like u are just trying 2 take off the door trim off your car yea? i dont understand what a "door card" is.. but yea... the plugs should go all around the edges of the panel. once you are sure you have all the screws removed, pull off the panel around the sides and bottom edges, then lift the panel up to take it off the door. reinstalling should be straight forward too.. lower the panel into position, push in the plugs around the edges with a firm hand, then replace the screws. (DISCLAIMER- this is a general guide, ive never tried this on a hilux, but ive done this on a few other cars.)
  2. rooty hill road north shops... last friday? totally blacked out corolla with tint, bodykit, spoiler, blacked out altezzas, rims... not sure bout the details as i only saw the back of it. btw not the first time 2 see this car at rooty hill
  3. i guess the smarter thing would be to leave it at one. you get your bass, plus you keep your boot space. ive always wondered what would happen if i built a custom ported sub box to go with the sealed box ive already got. as suprathai said b4, the subs will sound slightly different, so why not have both types? the ported sub would obviously need to be bigger and if it is moulded to the left side behind the tail lights, and the port would need to be somehow perfectly measured to suit. or you could make things simpler and leave it at one.
  4. he is DRF122R on this forum he also have a black Ascent Sport nice one... yes ive had a good look at his black ascent as well. not 2 familiar with the nick name on this forum though.
  5. da hell is HU83RT doin there? how do u know that car? i see that car parked near mine all the time at rooty hill!
  6. guess it depends on the song... wouldnt write em off completely. is tom jones uncool while driving? its fun driving through roundabouts while hearing "just help yourself to my lips, to my arms, just say the word and they are yours................"
  7. QUALIFIED SECONDARY TEACHER - NOW TUTORING! (kinda - no students yet coz schoolz out.. but yea GET ME FOR NEXT YEAR!?!) Graduating from BA Teaching (secondary)- Visual Arts from University of Western Sydney, April 2008. Also, if you are around BLACKTOWN, PARTICULARLY IN THE PLUMPTON, ROOTY HILL, GLENDENNING areas and have a year 7-9 student that can use a tutor to help them complete their homework/assignments, I can help! EXPERIENCE So far, I have taught visual arts, visual design and photography to years 7 - 11 at two different high schools in the Blacktown/Holroyd Areas (which means I have done the whole police check and child protection thing - impossable for me to teach in school if I wasnt considered safe around children!). EXPERTISE I dont consider myself just an ART teacher, im a TEACHER who happens to teach art, but I am able to help tutor students with ANY subject they have homework/assignments. If the student is totally clueless, I do my best to break the work down to its simplest form and make the information relevant and meaningful to the student by connecting the work to the students prior knowledge. By the end of the session, the student would have his/her homework COMPLETE.. or at least they would have a much better idea of how to do it themselves after i go. Would be willing to stick around for longer than the agreed time at no extra cost if the student needs the assistance (that is if I dont have anyone else to tutor straight afterwards). So if you are in the Blacktown area of Sydney and have a son/daughter/brother/sister/relative/family friend who is in year 7-9, who is a good student that does try their best, but happens to be struggling with homework or assignments, I can help! All the student needs to bring is their textbooks, notebooks and equipment needed to do the work. Ideally, we should have access to a computer with internet, microsoft word and printer if they have to write up assignments. I have my own car *duh* so I am willing to meet the student @ their house or at blacktown/ mount druitt library (subject to my schedule...) but yea location is negotiable. HOW MUCH? $30 / hour for 1 on 1 $25 / hour if you book 2 tutor sessions per week. Available Mondays - Fridays from 4.15-onwards Weekends (subject to availability) HELP A TOCAU MEMBER OUT! HELP ME HELP YOUR KIDS!
  8. couldnt have said it better my self. its a bloody van. were did u get your licence from. did woolies have a special on them that i dont know about? geez if only that were true i could use a cheap drifting tarago right about now. BTW badboyz i had 2 read your sig bout 4 times before i understood what was going on! muahahahaha!
  9. my guess is that a wiring harness should solve your problem. its just a plug that connects into your cars existing wiring that you either solder/crimp to your new head unit. just match the colours from the wires coming out of your new head unit to the wiring harness and it should be ok. i bought one at autobarn... but if you cant find one that specifically specifies that its for the celica, its still safe to use one thats for another recent toyota.
  10. those rev knobs are pretty useful, although ive only ever noticed them in my old landcruiser bundera (1985)... i never noticed it in any newer cars (ie- not in my parents 100 series landcruiser, or my 1zz). am i wrong on that? does the 1zz/2zz have these knobs?
  11. Fixed for you man lol Ayyyy you gotta tell the truth with those Lazer's hahaha. ok a lil bit more truth about the salesman... just after we discovered the car in the caryard, the dealer paused and stated to us that "things rarely ever go wrong with these cars"... "very dependable first car". the body looked clean (no rust or dents) but it wasnt long when engine parts (ie. belts and things) began falling off the car WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. never drove a mazda... they look pretty nice now looking at the red 1 up in these forums... corzzas (excuse d spelling) isnt it? actually.. come to think of it... may need to make a separate thread for this question, but its closely related to the question put to this thread... (IN CASE ANYONE HASNT PUT UP THIS THREAD ALREADY)... WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?
  12. interesting thread... lemme see what ive driven in the past...? ford laser KC 1987? - first car.. auto.. broke down every 3-6 weeks for one reason or another. never gonna trust an old ford (or second hand car dealer) again! toyota bundera landcruiser 1985 - my second car, which was a hand me down from my brother. drove that for 3-4 years until i got my corolla. toyota landcruiser 100 series 1998 - auto.. parents car. man that thing can handle rivers n mud muahahaha! 2 filipinos can easily sleep in the back with the seats up. toyota hiace 1992? - manual, the family business van.. column shift!? fun! toyota corolla 1998 - auto, sedan.. toyota celica sx 1998 - manual, the car my brother moved on to when he gave me the bundera. "toyota" jeepney... manual, soft top, no aircondition, no seatbelts, no registration, no legroom for the front seats.. even less room for the poor buggers in the back seats!, no adjustable drivers seat, no left or right indicators, no doors, no window wipers and the best part - all aluminium panels! (only in the philippines) as for other cars which ive just driven, friends cars n such - subaru rx 200? model... bubble eyed one... nice 2 drive.. felt faster 2 drive than my conquest... but yea thats a 2.0litre engine yea? mitsubishi station wagon.. 199? model... automatic.. ok car.. reliable i guess, nothing seemed wrong with it although i never felt safe in it. hyundai excel 1995 - always looked down on excels, but very easy 2 drive... if i wasnt so loyal 2 my toyotas and just wanted a car 2 get me A to B id probebly go 1 of these. mitsubishi delica 1990 - auto, 4wd, japanese surplus vehicle which was converted to left hand drive, which was funny because they didnt bother to move the handbreak. (philippines) generic "multicab" *year unknown* - another philippines original... no seatbelts, no stereo.. this was a private vehicle which is more commonly used for public transport in the philippines... back features no windows, only 2 bench seats on either side which would squeeze in about 12-14 filipinos. often mistaken for a public vehicle since commuters would hop on the back while it was moving, thinking it was a public vehicle.
  13. yea that must be it?! exactly what taylez said! makes total sense that theres a little motor in there... except it would be cooler to say your rear windows have "actuators" like most of the moving parts they put into cars @ pimp my ride hahaha
  14. yeh actually now thinking about it, it does seem they did exactly that ... however.. i remember in our old holden, they had a small circular cover thing, that covered the hole for the manual winder? so i don't think they really need to change the whole door panel ? my 2c worth i guess i also remember pulling those covers off when i was younger... would probebly cost more if they had 2 replace your original parts for more stockish parts. i think toyota did what they could in this situation.
  15. looks like it covered the hole the manual winder left behind. id kinda expect that... saves them from changing the whole door panel coz of that hole.
  16. u got pics of the buttons? i cant imagine what it looks like... it may be dissapointing, but youre definately not ripped off. if it doesnt work, thats 1 thing. but if you went out and intentionally bought a car that didnt have rear power windows in the first place, (perhaps 2 save a few bucks?) then im not suprised the rear power window upgrade looks aftermarket. if i were you, i would have complained as soon as i picked up the car... no wait. i just would have avoided buying a car that didnt have rear power windows as standard in the first place. i guess you can either live with it, or try 2 buy oem parts from the wreckers to make it look like it came standard with the car which means more $$$ spent, or trade in again for a corolla that came with the rear power windows as stock.
  17. i tried searching for "1992 corolla seca" in cardomain and came up with this link: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/668467/1 this dude has 4inch jbls for the front speakers... not sure if thats the same size as stock, but if u are thinking bout putting 5" in there, you might want to crack open your door panel to see it up close 2 see if you can replace it directly without using spacers no your door panels. jase
  18. should best ask a car paint pro. theres a great place about a minute off the great western highway near the (fox hills?) golf course around girraween/toongabie area if u are able 2 go round there... ill give you the contacts if you are interested. they got all the paint, and sell the equipment and they are pretty good with advice on painting 2 if u wanna do this DIY.
  19. what size speakers fit the back doors? and the front for that matter? 6" or 4" ? click the SEARCH button up the top.. youll find this has been covered before.
  20. spotted (again).. last night white 1zz corolla with big TRD sticker on the windshield woodstock ave driving towards rooty hill. i was driving opposite side going towards mtd.

  22. 10 out of 10! i would have loved this guide if i still had my stock head unit
  23. i hadnt touched my panel filter which had been in there since the car was new.... felt that my car wasnt pulling as well as i thought it used 2. and then someone on the forum threw up a used K&N panel filter up as a freebee! SCORE! it was black and dusty... i dindt have the cleaning kit at the time but i bunged in anyway and i did feel an immediate difference in sound when i accelerated. ive cleaned it once... im not terribly worried that any excess oil will be sucked in.. since the instructions tell you how to do it right so you dont stuff it up! drench the filter in oil, of course youre going to ***** up something.
