  1. anyone? please? yea what that guy said... are those spray on sound deadeners any good? or the paint 1s that come in the paint can? sounds messy but a fair bit cheaper than the dynamat option
  2. im in NSW. what kinda things does your guy do? youve been PM -------------- and another thing.. this front bar has already been cut because theres a reinforcement bar in the way of it fitting right. carmate and other places like sinex body kits say it has to either be removed or cut! what would happen if i removed it or cut it????
  3. ive had both of these clips on my favourites list in youtube 4 a while now... the ring 1 is still a classic! wish they had made more jap ringu movies..
  4. is it just me or do i see 2 stick figures going at it doggystyle in that logo?
  5. oh yea that definately is a big ASSumption. sorry! what year is the camry btw? im thinking if it is an 03 or similar, im still assuming itll come off the same way the corollas does... just because the doortrims looked so similar. toyota have used the same type of door handles for several different models such as rav4, hilux and the camry for example... why would they use different methods of sticking the door trim on the different models??
  6. i saw instructions for facelift removal of hte front bumper care of Skriblez, but is it much different to the prefacelift instructions? EDIT- 4GET IT... i found it in the corolla manual :P heapz useful that is! 4got i had it
  7. chances are ill have it painted at a shop somewhere.. i dont trust my DIY skills enough to paint it as well as the rest of the factory paint on my car. but ill have a go at fitting it. heat gun is ready n waiting.. stay tuned for tomorrow ill be trying to figure out how to take my stock bar off!
  8. 1 step at a time tayles! geez! yea i was considering that... well just wait and see once i got hte thing mounted ok! like where exactly would you want the numberplate to sit? i know on the side slightly, but do i attach it to the mesh part or into the bar itself, just on the passengers side? the evo numberplates hang over the mesh holes but are attached on the bumper part.. well see how it goes btw ill be following your lead... with the lack of sideskirts and rear bar (for now)... lol
  9. there are several threads of people who have done this... try the search feature! but yea, ive done this on my 03 corolla. on a hot day (preferebly), get some fishing line between the door and the strip and start pulling across. ive debated with people in here whether to use goo remover or some sort of chemical to disolve/remove the adhesive. ive used it and have had good results, but others say you shouldnt use it. but yea look for "removing door trim" or something like that in the earlier threads 2 find out more.
  10. looks like the rims and subs have been changed over since the article in hot4s...
  11. go for a car only few years old with the new car warranty on it. how much were you going to spend?
  12. gday all, just wondering if anyone here knows about modifying bodykits to fit 98%< ? ive got this idea i wanna run by everyone here that has knowledge bout this sort of stuff. this is what ive got right now... problem: may not fit flush round the grille + headlights... as the previous owner experienced and has tried to fit it to his corolla b4 deciding to sell it to me. i want this thing to fit PERFECT.. like it came stock with the car. ambitious? i know.. impossible?, probebly... but i want to know my options and everything i could possibly do to get it to fit right. the thing i was thinking about is possibly cutting the lower half of the fibreglass bar and somehow attaching it (probebly using screws, fibreglass and bodyfiller) to the upper half of a original stock front bumper. i know i can do this in theory, just wondering if its just the WRONG thing to do to make it fit right. this idea would probebly come last as i can imagine it would take heaps of work to figure out the exact place to cut... so any advice or websites you can direct me to on how to safely bend fibreglass would be appreciated. jase also if worst comes to worse... what panel beaters in the western suburbs would you trust to properly install something liek this?
  13. hey leroy, if you wanna know about cost of parts, you should check the bottom of his post: Please send enquiries/orders to sales@nextmod.com.au, my PM box keeps filling up.
  14. i thought youd never remove the purple rag d_ice lol
  15. still searching.. jax has some tyres on their website that look close to the 15 spokes... but no info on whether they sell 4 studs instead of 5...
  16. check your state to see whether aftermarket lambo doors are legal. apparently in nsw they arent. also.. IMHO... i woudlnt put that hammer logo on the car. the logo and text would make your car look like its for a business or something. it honestly looks like a really bad tattoo... either way it aint stylish. i dont mean to rag on your hammer pic, but you dont really need the HAMMER lettering to know the image has a hammer. if anything... get HAMMER as text in a really racer type font with some racing stripes and vinyl it across the side of the car.. but leave the image out. Heres something rough i made up: check out how other cars use vinyl... or how racing stripes are normally put on cars. look up chip foose's stuff.. he does awesome work. when it comes to car design.. colours and racing stripes. dont just look at other corollas.. look at all types of cars!
  17. either hes taken it down or a mod took it off.. cant seem to see a "post edited" thingo at the bottom... but its not there anymore
  18. think it would be possible to transplant a hatches face on a sedans body?
  19. na autobarn asked the specific questions, they asked what year model and paint code number so all the info was correct, just the colour still wasnt an exact match. true its all based on experience, im just saying that you shouldnt expect a 100% match 100% of the time with autobarn. the place i was talking bout before was: V.G. Auto Paints & Tools Touch Up Paints, Colour Matching, Tools & Equipment, Polishes & More 11 Amax Ave Girraween NSW 2145 ph: (02) 9636 5411 http://www.vgautopaints.com.au/ i bought paint from this place a few times.. first time they colourmatched exactly, the second time they did it the same way autobarn did it, but the paint i got there was still closer to the autobarn paint. id trust these guys more because paint is all they specialise in!? autobarn got a bit of most things car related.. kinda like the difference between going to the gp and a specialist.
  20. i wouldnt go to autobarn for an exact match. i had the colour code of my corolla but the silver colour they gave me was solely based on the info they had on their computers. they didnt go out and take a look at the colour of my car to see how well their colour actually matched, so it didnt match perfectly.. not to my liking anyway. buying paint there kinda reminded me of ordering a big mac meal from macdonalds... if your car is a few years old (mine is '03), the colour may have changed by the slightest bit coz of sun and weather exposure etc. theres a place in toongabie that gives more accurate colourmatch (but depends on whos serving you at the time.. if you dont ast the right person you get the autobarn service). they actually go out to the car with the bucket of paint to see how well their colour matches your car. oh yea they sell it in whatever amount you need, so they do have spray cans, as well as the primers, clearcoats, and equipment you need like spray guns and compressor parts if you wanna do more serious work.
  21. yea back to the topic... so... how crazy are those cambridge university proffesors ey?
