  12. mabuhay :P sorry man thats all the tagalog i can speak! (im in sydney, but my family is from visayas area) welcome to TOCAU! are you asking us to find the parts here in australia? Ill keep a look out, but my guess is that you can find the switches you are looking for in ebay. another place is http://www.ozeparts.com.au/ - youll probebly find the parts you are looking for under 1998-1998 AE112, since im not 100% sure if we have AE111? it looks the same front as your car. im guessing its a sedan right? we have both sedan and hatch here, but i think the ozeparts website only lists the hatch. Ive found the parts in philippines are a lot cheaper when you convert it to pesos. Unless you have a good job and a credit card i wouldnt bother ordering parts from overseas if i was living in phils. good luck man. jase

    ALCOHOL!

yea i guess that may have something to do with it... but yea back more onto the topic... does anyone here work in a bottleshop or have anymore info about imported beers?

    ALCOHOL!

hehe yea my brother brought one of those at home when he took a round trip round the country with his mate in his FRP... (mid wheelbase removable hard top version of my old landcruiser bundera.) im not saying you CANT get 1L bottles here, but your not likely to find a crown lagar in a 1L bottle! thats what i meant.. why cant that be a more regular standard size?

    ALCOHOL!

yea i kinda knew that too.. 4got bout that before but yea that must explain why some beers taste different when you drink it overseas. that red horse comes in 1000ml bottles.. why cant beers be sold like that here?

    ALCOHOL!

Gday all... I would just like to ask if anyone in here would know exactly how to import beer from overseas? How come some beers can be imported from overseas (ie. corona, budweiser etc), while other beers seem impossible to find. How do you go about getting your favourite foreign alcohol to Australia without having to ask a friend to bring some back with them when they go overseas?? Basically what it comes down to is... I MISS MY RED HORSE BEER. Its a filipino beer thats apparently around 10% alcohol. goes down like water, has little/no head on it, and a little bit can get you plenty typsy. Its nothing like aussie beer. Nothing wrong with aussie beer, I love my Crown, my New, my Cold, my VB... but they do make me feel bloated sometimes. I'd just like some more variety when it comes to my choice of beer! Another drink I wish was in the stores is TANDUAY RUM... another drink from the Philippines that just remindz me of home. The only filipino beer Ive seen in Australia is San Miguel... which is OK... but Id take the red horse over san mig any day of the week... (well id only drink once a week anyway.. if im not working the next day). so yea.. i know ive only talked about filipino alcohol, but if you have any insight into how you or someone you know has gotten ANY foreign beer not readily available in our local bottlo, would be worth knowing about. jase

    Weight Loss

yea its good to mix it up. far out i miss the gym! biggest mistake you can make when you want to be fit is spend the $$$ that you could have spent on gym membership on buying home gym equipment. i bought A LOT of weights, dumbells, dumbell rack, situp bench, flat bench, exercise bike and more... now all collecting dust in my "gym"... (not to mention the WPI and creatine that went to waste) not sure if it was buying the things or getting married n stuff that stopped my exercise addiction but yea..

    Weight Loss

walking stairs will certainly build up your legs.. but walking is whats gonna burn the fat. long walks. thats kinda like only doing weights to lose fat.. your not losing the fat your mostly building muscle
  21. "When in rome, do as the romans do." in this case, we were in the philippines. they dont use seatbelts there! they dont even have speed limits there!?! not round the places my relatives live in anywayz... so obviously that means theres no such thing as a baby seat there either. my kid was climbing over everyone while taking long drivez up all round mindanao. hes already got a fascination with wheels and driving... no idea where he gets that from... :P anywayz.. more often than not, he crawls his way over to the front passenger seat to get a decent view... wouldnt advise this for anyone else.. definately not encouraging this in anyway but as i said at the start of this post... "when in rome"...
  22. cant dream of my car! it takes enough of my time while im awake! lol! NICE ONE... fyi id rather get the bugger SC.. muahahhaa
  23. id love to tell you some of the conversations i have with my wife about my corolla, but she sometimes lurks in here using my id... might get me in trouble! :/
  24. sorry 2 bring up this old thread.. thought its still an interesting topic though :P my old landcruiser was called the "CRU23R" for obvious reasons... i bought out the plate for them from the RTA... shoulda sold em off or kept em in storage but the car had been left unused and the registration ran out bout 9 months b4 we decided to register it again.. by that time it was too late to keep the plates :( i called my corolla the silverbugger... shortened it to "BUGGER".. now it has a black BUGGER numberplate hanging on the drivers side sunvisor :P
