thats pretty fcuking disgusting... so sorry that happened 2 u man.. saw ur car in the registry.. obviously heapz of work was done to it... you know the thing is that any decent car wreckers or mechanicz or just ANYONE with some knowledge can strip a car in a very short amount of time as long as they knew what to do.

did you manage 2 see how they did it ? just in case someone else has the same problem :P save the rest of us the hassle of going back 2 toyota 4 a pin

I would go searching the car wreckers for spare parts first. i know its probebly hard 2 find new model parts from wreckers but you may be lucky!

rear facing is best 4 sound. but not practical in my case coz i need the storage space. but yea the difference in sound between the two positions isnt a BLOODYHUGE amount. I could hear that there is a noticable difference, but if ur happy with the side position like my sub box anyway, then it WONT make any difference 2 u. i just wanted sum boom boom.. or doof doof... dependin on what i feel like listening 2. EDIT - just installed KICKER ZX400.1 monoamp 2 power the 8" kicker :) purchased @ 35% of what i would have paid @ JBHIFI! GO CASH CONVERTERZ!

im actually happy with the work that ive done. aint perfect because of the weight distribution but thats not an impossable problem to fix. do whatcha want with ur custom sub. as for sound quality and lookz im prettydamn happy with it. but yea if u dont wanna worry bout the box just buy it from the shopz.

suicide doors would be interesting.. i was actually thinking of modding my doors either with suicide or lambo doorz :P but yea wouldnt do that sorta mod unless i really wanted a showcar.... i go 2 work/uni/groceryshopping in mine so it aint practical at all. those kinda modz on a regular rolla would be like wearing a tux for a birthday party at mcdonaldz

wait wait wait lemme get this straight- your rear wiper "fell off", so instead of forking out the $$$ to replace the part, you want 2 get a welder to close the hole off instead? ok umm.. think it may be a cheaper option to buy the wiper, dude! when it comes 2 welding over stuff like that or shaving off the door handles so ur car looks cleaner, youll have 2 fork out a lot of money 2 get it done right. you COULD get it done for cheap... hell i got a migwelder at home lemme do it 4 u! $50! less 4 cash! :P you could get a bodyshop to fill the hole with a peice of sheetmetal and weld it on, grind the joins down smooth and paint it over... but in a few years, the metal would probebly warp and you would be able to see the shape of the hole again.. wont look pretty. itll look like a bad panelbeaterjob.... saw how they do that kind of job properly on the DIY channel on foxtel... they showed how to shave off the door handles off a accord or was it a civic? anyway it was a "showcar".. some kinda honda... 2door. i think "sandblasting" was involved.. not sure what it was called, but it involved a lot of sparks. but yea either go to a wreckers specialising in toyota parts or get the new genuine part from toyota. thats just my 2centz... oh yea if memory serves me correctly, that doorshaving proceedure cost $1000+(US) for smoothing over the holes left behind after the door handles were removed. jase.

they look like the booster tail light coverz... peter had them and sold it to some1 didnt he? is that where they went? not 2 keen on the colour scheme so the short answer to my question i guess is... NO.. toyota doesnt make tail light eyelidz?

on an mdf box i dont see y not. ive done it few yearz back in my landcru23r... screwed it on top of my 2x10" weconic sub box and it had no obvious negative effect on the amp?! in fact.. since im dead broke and i cant afford a new amp at the moment, i unscrewed the amp from my old subs and now its powering the lil kicker solobaric in my corolla :) and the amp isnt even screwed in anywhere in particular. its leaning up against the back of my backseats in the boot.. the anchorstrap from my babyseat is basically keeping the amp vertical along with nonslip mat underneith 2 keep it in place. bootspace is very important 4my situation so yea... no problems with it yet! as long as theres enough area for the amp 2 sit on i say go 4 it. is it ported or sealed box by the way? if its sealed, then i would probebly go against using screws that are long enough 2 penetrate all the way through the MDF... since ud wanna keep it airtight and if you were to remove the amp then ull be left with an UNsealed sub box

once i got the dosh... still a long time b4 that day will come. i wanted the screen out of view of other motorists so i was considering the lower space... but still toying with the idea of doing it the other way round

www.brashimports.com.au got heaps 4 a good price 2! when i get the extra dosh im gettin the GL701 touchscreen with the tv/radio tuner/amp. was planning 2 place that in the storage space just above the ashtray... in the 2din space i was gonna place the MPL6800 to play the dvdz.. as 4 the actual computer (voompc possibly?) i was gonna hide that in the glovebox or in the boot.. dvd rom in the glovebox. and yea 4 that voompc i was gonna get the box only.. (is that what they mean by barebones?).. and yea i got a computer place near my work that can fix up the processor,harddrive,memory etc so if it fcuks up, i can get them to service it instead of dealing with people across town,interstate or overseas if i got a problem with the pc.

best of luck with your install fad! im just so bogged down with uni and a million other things right now on top of the mods i wanna do 2 the car.. so yea my carpc plans are still on hold... if only i wasnt studying!!!

spotted @mtdruitt westfield, carpark in front of autobarn/kmart round 12-1pm. shiny black corolla(cant tell if it was sportivo) but had full sportivo kit, tinted, altezza tail lights... MONSTA numberplate i think? cant remember? but it was a custom plate. think it was an asian dude driving too. 16/10/06
