  1. Toyota HQ Port Melbourne 10min from City Mazda, absolutely no-one around and excellent back drop for photo shoot. It's 155 Bertie St Port Melbourne (Near Subaru Interactive @ Docklands).
  2. :P I'm just not very trusting in many other drivers on that stretch of road ;) , watched many go back home on a towtruck
  3. I'm not going on a large cruise through black spur <_<
  4. That was my photography That location is quite central because its actually in Docklands/Port Melbourne near lorimer St. It's an excellent meet up point on Sundays because no-one is there (Or any of the surrounding streets for that matter )
  5. Sounds Good, I'll be at their Sunday Concert too.
  6. I'm pretty certain the AE92/93 have a different shape.
  7. CF = Carbon Fibre NA or N/A = Normally Aspirated (ie No forced induction) FI or F/I = Forced Induction (ie Turbo Charged/Supercharged) SC = Supercharger TB = Turbo Charger IC = Intercooler FM or FMIC = Front Mount Intercooler. Catback = Exhaust System from the Catalytic Converter to the back of the Car. Axle Back = Exhaust System from the rear axle to the back of the car (Usually just the rear muffler only) CAI = Cold Air Intake SRI = Short Ram Intake Strut or Damper = Shock Absorber. Coilover = Strut and Coil combined as one unit, designed in most cases to allow for adjustability in Stiffness and Ride Height. ECU = Engine Control Unit/Engine Computer MAF Sensor = Mass Air Flow Sensor(?), Sensor on air intake which measures and sends information to ecu on variables such as Intake Temp, Air Flow Mass etc. Engine computer then adjusts fuel and ignition timing accordingly.
  8. Sat Midday, Doncaster cnr Blackburn Rd and Doncaster Rd, Blue Conquest/Ascent, lowered, eyelids and white alloys
  9. Spotted a blue one on the road this morning, looked nice, very clever design though, its actually no bigger than Camry (If it is there's not much in it) but particularly from front on, it looks as like a much bigger car.
  10. Spotted a new Camry Sportivo, Black, Lowered, with Wheels that had a black centre with a polished lip on Princess Hwy after the Chapel St Intersection in Melb. It looked Magic!
  11. Legal: Narva +50 Narva Arctic Vision Philips 50+ Philips Blue Vision. All ADR compliant and will increase visibility over stock. Non-Legal: Philips Diamond Vision Philips Crystal Vision These make a pretty blue or purple light, but aren't ADR compliant and have less visibility than those above. Beware that most Autobarn outlets will recommend the Crystal/Diamond Visions.
  12. 1zz-fe - The one refers to it being the 1st generation of the ZZ series engines, fe is Toyota speak for economy tune. 2zz-ge - The 2 refers to it being the 2nd generation of the ZZ series engines, ge is Toyota speak for performance tune. FE = Economy GE = Performance GZE = Performance Supercharged GTE = Performance Turbo Charged. ZZE121, ZZE122, ZZE123 denote what model it is, ZZE122 is the hatch in 1zz-fe engine form, ZZE123 is the hatch in 2zz-fe form.
  13. Actually I saw it too, turning into Hoddle St. Spotted today Cascade Blue Facelift Sportivo with personalised plates on little Lonsdale St.
  14. hahaha thats awesome. Really? :) yer really? I thought Auris was the new international name for the hatch where as corolla would remain for the sedan and wagon. It makes sence to change it to Auris as it fits between Aurion and Yaris. Then again Camry kept its name. Who cares if it doesnt get names Auris here all the better coz itll be like having Runx number plates. From what I've read, Aus will retain the Corolla badge, they don't want a repeat of the Nissan Pulsar/Tida sales disaster due to no name recognition of the new Tida badge even though its the global name of the car. Likewise Toyota are using the new name Aurion instead of Avalon to distance the new car from the old and give people the perception that its not just an update Avalon but an all new completely different car. Because Corolla is such a success here and its a name with a good reputation, they wont replace it with another name Global or not.
  15. I think there was a Celica that kept blowing up because it was done the dodgy way
  16. They were very far from stock. Those that have done the mid 14's had intake, exhaust and suspension work.
  17. Wow? Talk about top condition, very nice. If only mine would look like that when it's as old.
  18. But it's still going to be called Corolla here, so people wont really get it at all.
  19. Tuesday Arvo Spotted SPT1VO (The nice white one from the west) on Collins St
  20. Search Trading Post/E-bay/Firesport for a white pre-facelift body-kit. Most likely someone took it for themselves though. Sorry to hear, was it parked in the street? :o
  21. Don't know never understood that... Why do girls cheat on guys?
  22. Why does sixth gear break when opening up the box?
  23. The White and Silver ones below show the potential of the new shape. See how good the new wheel arches look when filled with larger wheels and lowered suspension.
