The low torque doesn't really seem to bother me believe it or not. I think that the s/c 2zz we saw in that other clip would have had an improve in torque certainly, but not by a whole buttload. I know it's a different motor and different weight etc etc but it's funny how things aren't really what they seem until they are put into practice. That clip still haunts me to this day, how fast it is.

Came up for a few meets last year myself. 2 1/2 hours away. u wish rob not even u drive that fast up the highway. best i have gotten from canberra to sydney was 2 hours 45 minutes from Eggberts house in Pennant Hills (maybe ) to canberra airport and that was pushing it. It's 2 1/2 hours to my godfathers house west of livo. That's it I'm punching you at the next meet! (You do this to try and gee me up don't you )

This reminds me of the project I did with my mate, except it was back to front. 1978 2 door escort with a 4.4L rover V8 in it. Wider wheel base + flares etc etc etc. We wanted to hill climb in it lol. the only advice I can give is to make sure that the expenditure slows over time. If it doesn't then just stop like we did lol. He's now working on his ford LTD, 387 Cleveland V8 w. a GT44 Garret. Same motor. Keep the same motor. Supercharge it! There is also power - weight opposed to raw power itself. I think we all know what happens to a 2zz celica or corolla when it's supercharged. I could not believe how much the characteristics were changed on it.

I think acoustically 6x9's just don't belong in the front. They would be too full bodied. Bass is obviously non-directional, but it's my belief that up front you're better having speakers with more natural treble and a little mid-range than just bass/treble and midrange. I could be talking crap, if I am I'm sorry that's just what I've found, in and out of cars (guitarist as well).
