  1. Try entering your VIN here - http://japan-parts.eu/toyota/#. This must be the Toyota Chassis number not the Australian VIN put on when the car was imported. It takes a bit of patience but it is awesome once you know where to look. Click on - powertrain-chassis - then select - Front axle hub. The link below is for a random Townace off carsales VIN JT721KR4300054076 http://japan-parts.eu/toyota/gr/2000/townace-liteace/kr42r-rcsreq/4_651350_016_/powertrain-chassis/4303_front-axle-hub. I hope this is OK
  2. Welcome to the club. Loads of good people and many willing members waiting to help out. Please give some more details of which specific model Lux you have. RZN167?? LN147?? RZN149??
  3. If you enter the VIN for your Hi-Ace you should be able to identify the gearbox part number or at least the rear extension housing number. http://japan-parts.eu/toyota/# On the site once you have identified the Toyota part number you can do a parts cross-reference on the same page This can be a little time consuming but may help you to know which vehicles to look for. By vehicle description I could only find 4 speed boxes for 1982 Hi-Aces We used a 1997 Hi-Lux box in a HQ tonner project a few years back. I was told the box came from a Supra (W58) but was in fact from a Hi-Lux (W59). They use the same basic box and change the rear extension housing and shifter block for the linkages. Hope this is useful as it has illustrations of the parts too. Most of the sites i previously used have had to remove the drawings.
  4. Nearly 52 but it feels like 152. My only wish is that age was calculated in MPH. Then I would not be that old but it sure would feel awesome
  5. Firstly, Welcome to the club. I am unsure of which rims will fit the townace but if you post up the stud pattern someone will be sure to know a d addvise you what may fit. Enjoy the club & forums
  6. Type the VIN into the toyota field on www.epc-data.com and you should fid out the original ngine model. Failing that you may look through the listing links for the exact model and verify it the long way. I hope this helps
  7. Hey Guys I know my last post was a bit off the mark but I now have a newly released product for you all to feast your eyes on. This has been released in the last couple weeks and for a introductory price of $308.00 inc GST one can be yours. This is what they will cost for me to purchase so I am not going to make a profit from them. You will receive a new unopened kit with all the attachments pictured along with a legitimate tax invoice. Please let me know if anyone is interested. I believe this unit will retail for about $515.00. If you are not in the Brisbane area there will be a $17.60 Toll airbag fee added to the invoice. Payment can be made by direct bank deposit or by Visa or MasterCard which I will personally enter then destroy the card numbers when done. Please let me know if anyone is interested SVSCDR2.pdf
  8. Looks like it's in top condition. His loss is your gain. Well chosen.
  9. Don't worry about the legalities. It just looks like a desperate effort in tragic.
  10. So what happens when people type in white? Or maybe if there was no typing at all. Woohoo. Now would that not be awesome.
  11. Yeah definitely that is for the compressor only. It has been a few years since I worked with A/C parts and I got a real shock when I was told the price. I would hate to know what the retail price would be. I bought one for my in-laws 95 Camry from the place I worked for previously and it cost about $300.00 but those prices seem to be a thing of the past. Sorry about getting your hopes up
  12. Given that the two vehicles are from a different generation of Hi-lux models I would tend to think that there would be substantial difference between the engine mounts and wiring harnesses. I'm sure you would do well to take a few measurements before committing to the job.
  13. Yes, I am sure you will not take long to be part of the crew Welcome
  14. This worked for me the other day Right click on the photo. Then select copy. Right click in the reply box where you type - Then select paste. White looks pretty good. But the white cars I have seen with BLACK wheels look really AWESOME
  15. Just stare at the centre of one of the circles for about 20 seconds and then look at your hand. Creepy
  16. I had a talk again with the Panel shop owner on thursday and he said to bring it in on Saturday. He said he would give me fortnightly updates on the progress and e-mail pictures of what has been done. I told him that sounded a bit like it was going to take a long time for the job to be completed and that I was expecting that it would be completed by the middle of March. So here's hoping for a speedy completion. Finally yesterday morning I hired a car trailer and delivered the Celica shell I got in the middle of last year to the panel shop. Yes it is a different one to the one we had at the beginning but it has minimal rust and has a near perfect hatch and a much better bonnet. I will need to dig out some of the small cover plates from the engine compartment and get them in ASAP. Our back yard is to have a 7.1m x 5.0m workshop/shed/man-cave erected in the near future all in the name of getting the Celica project happening and having a home for it when it is completed. I have attached a couple of photos of the moving day even though they are not really that exciting. The original plan was for me to have a week off to assist with the paint stripping but with low staff levels at work I don't feel inclined to ask for any more time off. The fact is that I don't have enough annual leave left to do it either. I will be sending the seats to be re-upholstered next week along with the door cards and hood lining. The seats are getting done in black leather with new foam bolstering but I am keeping the other interior vinyl panels as original because they are in the standard Toyota black. More updates to come
  17. Welcome to the club. You should find a host of tips and hints to mod the Rolla Enjoy
  18. Awesome job you've done. You should be proud to drive this around. A smug grin would be the order of the day. Must say I really love the wheels. I have Konig Rewinds to go on our RA28 whenever it goes in to get the paint done. Spewing about the damaged wheel. Lucky it is on the inside. Sounds like it won't be long before it is up and going. Good stuff
  19. I just don't see where they could ever take 2 hours to do somethig as simple as that. If it was the rear engine mount on a V6 Honda Accord Euro maybe... Definately DIY.
  20. This is a bit scary. I have been quoted $530.00 plus GST for a new genuine compressor. There are some re-manufactured ones available but they are only about 80-100 cheaper.

Welcome to the club Andy. Sounds like you have a lot going on there. What did the Police find with the wheels? Where they too wide or was the offset incorrect? Or did they dislike the color? It looks pretty cool though.
  22. I will have a look Monday morning and get a price for you
  23. Not sure if this anything like what you were thinking of. http://www.gpsinnovations.com.au/ These units are for live tracking of the vehicle it is fitted to. It will give exact location, details of driver behaviour, info about engine RPM and other vital signs like oil pressure and engine temperature, G-Force and some more. The best thing is it plugs into the OBDII computer socket and is transferrable from vehicle to vehicle. I don't know if there is an option for video feed but it may very well be possible.
  24. Sorry but I have been a bit busy in the last few days Can you tell me the exact model (MCV10 - SXV10 - SXV11) and the month of manufacture. Maybe this link may help to ID the one you need. http://ishop2.cooldrive.com.au/search?q=&search[category_url][]=%2F_MMV%2FTOYOTA&search[category_url][]=%2F_MMV%2FTOYOTA%2FCAMRY&search[category_url][]=%2F_MMV%2FTOYOTA%2FCAMRY%2FSXV10_1992-1997&search[category_url][]=%2F_PG%2FA1&search[category_url][]=%2F_PG%2FA1%2FACM1&action_results.x=40&action_results.y=13
