Kerb weight: Weight of the vehicle with all its standard equipment, fluids and a full tank of fuel
Gross vehicle mass: The maximum weight specified by the manufacturer which includes the kerb weight, passengers and any luggage/stuff in the boot etc.
oh .. so just to clarify.. gross vehicle mass is the maximum amount of weight the car can handle? or are you saying its the maximum amount of weight that can fit into the car

battery is only 2 months old. terminals look solid. checked all relays & fuses. was thinking more sensorish. only indication is oil light comes on dash then total loss of power & engine cuts out.
cheers miles
Oil light will always come on when the engine dies, it is a sign that the engine itself is slowing down and the oil pump is no longer providing sufficient pressure.

Ahh, the power of moderator privileges...Needs MOAR low.
On another note, the title of this thread should be changed, it is a tad out of date.
To be fair though, with a wheelbase 2 suburbs long it doesn't really need moar lows, just sideskirts and a rear lip (and paint the front one).

Here's a shot I took on the weekend at the TOCAU annual meet - it kinda highlights just how low the exhaust is sitting, and why it scrapes on any bump bigger than a strand of spaghetti

Twincam Bathurst cruise is the next day so I might come down and stay the night

Should have my shots from the photoshoot up tonight, unfortunately they tend to favour a couple of 86s and a particular frog-green Honda :P
-
Methinks you mean oil pressure, not compression :p
-
At this stage we'll be going in to Homebush/Olympic Park for photos after dinner

New front and rear tacked on to a Honda City :D
Except it looks better than a Honda City :P

Of course they deserve the kindness - I love RT132s, the fact that they are uncommon is what makes them stand out from other run-of-the-mill Coronas. Plus, who can say no to a plum-red crushed-velour interior?

For those that don't know, Japan have a base, very base 86 model in their line up, the 86RC,black bumpers, options are roll cage, brake ducts, oil cooler, harness etc
Now New Zealand have it but with your own customization, pretty cool I think..
Fairly standard for Japan, it is for the people who want to turn them into track/rally cars (so no need for fancy alloys, interior bling, chances are there will be some kind of aero bodykit installed too). Same thing with WRXs, Evos etc

I won't be hanging around for Monday's activities unfortunately

Do any of the Sydney guys have any other ideas for photoshoot places for the Saturday night in case Carriageworks and the Foreshore Rd boat-ramp are unavailable? Being 2 hours away makes it hard for me to duck out and check beforehand :P Homebush might be ok, no NRL games that night so should be pretty quiet, and it is close to the dinner spot too

Define "wash"....wave a hose at it maybe? That's all I'll probably do...

Kangaroo Valley and the Nasho can be a bit wet/dirty...

You won't be able to import one unless it is a personal import (ie you've owned it overseas for greater than 12 months) or it is for track/race use only (cannot be road registered), as ST205 GT4s were sold new in Aus (even if there were only 77 of them)
If the NSW one was brought in as a proper personal import (including correct paperwork and compliancing to ADRs) then there shouldn't be an issue transferring registration to SA like it was any other car (so may need pink/blue slip, inspection etc).

better off actually buying someone else's finished project
Want to increase power, buy this: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/42421-thinking-of-selling/
