  1. Can I ask though, has anyone had theirs done and now feeling like it is slipping back to the way it was.... I reckon mine is (again) but when I asked them to re-do it last time (cause it has now been done twice) they try and tell me that Toyota will only pay for a warranty repair once, which in my opinion is crap because if it needs to be fixed then they should be fixing it properly. When they finally got the fix right the first time, it was awesome....but now back to the bad ol' days... Aaron, when I was out at the drags 3 out of 6 of my runs I had issues with the change from 1-2. I found it difficult to find the gate and landed in 4th instead. On 1 occasion I was absolutely certain I found the 2nd gate clean but it just wouldn't go in so I went to 4th again. but the other 3 times it was perfect.
  2. the back of the bottle says: Synthetic Gear Oils - Fully Synthetic API GL6 rated oils with exceptional ability to withstand prolonged high temperature operation. Ideal for competition and high load/high temperature road use and in limited slip and spin resistant differential sets. Available as SAE 75W-19 & 80W-140 ?????
  3. That's the same problem I have with the Penrite 10 tenths (75W-90) . It's Brilliant when the box is hot, ie on the track and through the twisties when I use lift, but for normal driving it doesn't seem to get hot enough (most noticable changing into 2nd and 3rd). I cannot fault the stuff on the track as it takes a hammering and still performs, but for everyday driving it just doesn't feel right.
  4. is ti your birthday as well today Greg?
  5. Instead of a new topic for everyones birthdays why not shove them all in here... anyway... Happy Birthday Craig... though I'll doubt he'll read this :P

  9. Elmo has got to be worth at least 30 extra kW at the wheels :)
  10. It may well have been, but even so, it took a long time to cause the problem in that case as it was running fine for a few weeks after that. But anyway, the CAI and filter have been cleaned and oiled and will be going back on pretty soon as good as new, I can't wait :) :D :D :D :D
  11. here's the topic|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|Here's the current discussion <_<
  12. That's an awesome buy Mark. Looks nice too.
  13. Bill stop spreading rumours... I just said the CAI was not the cause...
  14. it wasn't the CAI that caused it, it was an electrical spike.
  15. Turns out it was the MAF sensor. The temperature guage was fried they suspect, took the car in at 8 this morning, took 1/2 hour to diagnose (just making sure it wasn't anything else). Tested it with a spare test MAF sensor they have. Ordered a new MAF sensor that was couriered down from Sydney. Pick the car up this arvo good as gold. As the stock air box was on there it was all replaced under warranty too. :) I'm all smiles with the Wollongong Toyota boys today... :D :D :D :D :D
  16. Firefox rocks!!! IE sucks balls...
  17. 14.8 second 1/4 mile says that it is fixed ;) yeah, took it to Western Toyota to get the work done, it's all good now.
  18. I said I was sorry :( Oh wait...you're defending me aren't you? Don't worry man, it was just 1 person having a go at you when you did the right thing. IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO BRING UP AN OLD DISCUSSION THEN START A NEW ONE!!!! Well done, I commend you on that :) You had valid points to raise
  19. hehehehe... yeah that was me and Nikich, we spotted you too and were about the wave you down :P I'll add that this was before the current problems too...
  20. problem is I live 5 minutes from Wollongong Toyota and it's hard to get back to the Uni from Tory Toyota (at least, it takes ages compared to a 15 minute walk from Wollongong Toyota)
