  1. yep subsection sounds like a good idea... we now have 4 members with active systems and looks like a few more on the way.
  2. meh, manuals are overrated :P
  3. ahhhh just checked on mp3car.com and uploading or lack of from the hard drive is a known bug fixed in 4.2 :D meh... I'm learning, I've only had it 2 days :P and WTF is RTFM?
  4. it's actually RC4.1 I have I think the problem is a rushed through the install when I put in on because I didn't have any files installed at the time. When I receive the GPS receiver I'll install RC4.2 and make sure I do everything properly this time.
  5. I think it's Version RC4.2 I D/L it a couple of weeks ago so not sure if there was an update since then. I'll check it tonight.
  6. at the moment I'm just using the trial version
  7. Yep, that's the one... though I 'only' got a 100GB hard drive. The computer was US$550 plus US$69.95 postage (worked out to just over AUS$800) and was delivered in 4 days from the US I've bought stuff locally that took longer to be delivered... The head unit I payed $670 delivered from Brash Imports. I could have bought cheaper over e-bay but they only had the black ones available, and I wanted silver which also meant I had to wait a couple of weeks to get it, as they only make a limited run of silvers each time.

  9. planning..? already using buddy :D see my thread in the sound system install forum thingy, I'll update later tonight with what it has.
  10. S2000 is short for Super 2000, it's official title, S2000 is just what the journos call it cos they suck and can't spell big words, like super...
  11. Great cruise people :) I should have called you guys to let you know there was a bike copper pulling onto the old Pac just as I drove past. The Freeway was packed... all the way to Wollongong too... Bloody Sunday drivers :P
  12. I bought it... but still haven't read it... been busy all day :(
  13. ok, so I've been busy today. The install was seamless and is near invisible :) at least it will once the install facia arrives The headunit has VGA+USB connectivity for the touchscreen, and RCA inputs for the VGA sound inputs too, so what I see from the computer goes through the cars sound system. The DVD drive is powered from the ciggy lighter and connects to USB also. I've been having some issues loading songs that are on the hard drive into the centrafuse front end, it recognises CDs and DVDs alright and loads them right up, but I'm wanting to load the ones from my hard drive into it... oh well, I'm sure I'll find the way it's done soon. I'll update on specifics of the components soon, as it's late and I need sleep but enjoy :)
  14. X2 I've been working on other things so no time to clean my car... hasn't been cleaned since Toyotafest so it's looking pretty bad... :(
  15. What computer are you using Dan?
  16. How do you get oversteer under acceleration in a FWD car?
  17. I like a pointy car with agressive turn-in, so the rear sway bar suits me :)
  18. no deferrals, I'm just a slow learner :P nah, I did a 4 year honours degree then worked for a few years and now doing a PhD...
  19. I had the shock of my life a few weeks ago when I realised it was 10 years ago for me... :o and I'm still studying
  20. Harmison already out of the attack after 2 overs
  21. The head unit finally arrived today... will update will progress as it happens :) Update #1: Headunit is now installed... will get pics tomorrow I've set Saturday aside to do the carputer... because I can watch the cricket in my car now I don't have to miss a ball on Sunday :D
