yeah i have wondered about why VIC never stared a monthly regular meet... meet locations! keep it the same and or rotate locations?... i have always liked the bolte bride spot (both Docklands dock and fishermans bend)

Friend's stolen car, please read

Hey guys, Just wanted to alert those that reside in the western suburbs of melbourne (and everywhere else for that matter) about my friend's skyline that was stolen today (Thursday, 29th May) from the Sunshine train station car park between the hours of 4 - 5pm. It is a white Skyline R33 (1994) with full body kit and exhaust Reg: SLQ 608 (see pics) the car has been reported to police, as for the plates - they could have been removed so please study the photos. If you do see it, please tail it and call police. I myself only subscribe to the TOCAU forums, so if someone else is in the Melbourne street scene and on forums, could they please forward this post - providing the mods are cool with it Thanks a lot guys -Z

i know with the 3SGTE the internals are turbo ready (obviously) would you have to replace all your internals with forged parts before going turbo? or is it ready to go? also what about compression?

this isnt going to be to helpful but here it goes: you only get up what you put in! define cheap? perhaps upgrading your clutch could help as an entry level mod, from what i understand if you want any serious gains (noticeable) your gonna have to be prepared to part with some green. alternatively you could mess around with your ECU... ppl override standard factory setting by using hacks that are available online, such as resistor mods etc.

UPDATE: sorry just realized that after GST and all the what nots, the pair of front shocks totaled $220... i only just looked at the credit card statement :S

why is there this belief that the meet is all rice? Corolla crazy yes... but otherwise were pretty tame

i went to burson, i payed $80 per shock (only replaced the fronts) also my shocks are a cartridge macpherson struts, so everything else stays... dunno how your application would vary compared to mine

no i'm running on standard suspension, i think the previous owner left a few areas of my car un checked and therefore think my front right shock my be leaking... and naturally you want to replace shocks you'd do it in pairs if not the full set when it comes to doing swap outs

theres a hobby store here in melbourne that stocks the celica GT4 RC kit.... but for a while the b4st4rd was trying to sell them for $350 each (way too much).. went in today and saw them for $175 so i bought 2!!! lulz I'm so taking one to the National Meet

hey man, i was gonna go monroe but found they didnt do front and rears for my ride... so i went KYB which are a japanese company... seem to rank pretty well from what my mechanic reckons
