hmmmm, i can't really recall mine making noises like that. I'd say toyota's saying its normal simply cause they probably don't wanna go through the hassle of fixing it! Is your car under warranty with toyota? i reckon if there is a problem, go to a few mechanics,get a written opinion, then take it all to toyota and DEMAND that they fix the problem, not just shove it off. Gee lol as you guys are suggestn the best way to go is custom at this stage. Out of subject got my license suspended for 1 month today when trying to get to hospital for a friend. The bstard gave me 2 fines at once. One for following too close 149 dollars 1 point and 129kmh 293 dollars (131-2) and 4 points. total up close to 450 dollars. Im screwed lol. 28 days on the road and afte that 1 month no driving. Told him i was in an emergency and tried to be polite but got him angry at the start by being arrogant and im on my Ps. 5 points gone in one go. What happens if i drive while im not supposed to drive in that 1 month suspension time and get caught?? You get anal raped along with another suspension period and court appearance. Next suspension is usually a year, if you get caught in that then it's license cancellation where you can re-apply for a license after three years by going to court again. Happened to a mate of mine, he ended up going overseas for a couple of years when his license was cancelled. and im pretty sure the fine is over $1000 its not worth driving at all...would you rather not drive 1 month? or 1 year? lol its a big difference, i lost minefor 3 months and am halfway through it, its completely fscked, plus no public transport around here so makes it even harder!!! Anyways, go a custom jobbie. Even if you don't gain that much power it'll be worth it for the orgasm inducing noise it shall make! hehe

thanks.....do they just stick onto the grille?????? i hope they do. they all come with double sided sticky tape at the back. and for the grill maybe some little aleration might be needed to get it to stay on. Just stick it on, it should stay! I have the letters TRD in those chrome lettering badges just stuck on there, haven't fallen off since roughly october last year, i will go outside and take a pic lol

i think the best thing for you to do, would be to find out exactly what you want, then go around to several different places, especially proper car audio shops, as i've always found JB hifi to be expensive even after the "discount" you might get if you ask. chris

hmmm. i have no idea if the TRD cai would fit a 1ZZ, but i do know the shift cai i have fits on 1zz's as well as the 2zz. It should fit fine with foglights in there i'd think seeing as sportivos have foggies and the cai fits fine in there, although it may be different im not sure.. good luck, chris

does your car have an alarm? for an extra 100 or 2 you could probably get an alarm installed for that price that has central locking. Cause if you're thinking about one day getting a stereo or whatnot, having an alarm to start with is alot better then having your stuff getting stolen :)

well, i was talking to my brother in law recently, and as he owns a company that services/installs/removes car hoists etc, hes in and out of workshops everyday. Now he was telling me about this N/A 2ZZ celica that they had in his mates shop on the dyno at croydon somewhere. Now i have no idea exactly what was done to it, but all i was told pretty much was that after $50,000+ (not including cost of brand new car), it was pushing something along the lines of 200-220 kws at the wheels - naturally aspirated, and was able to rev up to 12,500 although peak power was at something like 10,000. Although all that money wasn't spent on engine work, big farkkkkkkk off brakes, full rollcage, pretty much full on track car, although was street registered apparently. Now i never actually saw this, so everything stated might not be true..but is it possible to be pushing that much power out n/a??
