  1. Completely off topic but i was looking through that link and saw a VY SS commodore, completely nothing wrong with it, although it was stated as Not-registerable write off...why would that be??
  2. Loctite FTW!! I didn't actually think of that..thanks!! I think i might just grab a drift filter for now, and then when i get some moneys i might get one of these ITG's, i did a google they look pretty good!
  3. whats this ITG filter your guys are talking about?? Sounds like i will be buying that or a drift filter, as i'm sure there won't be a screw/bolt on the top that will just come loose and make the filter fall apart whilst i'm driving lol
  4. Ok, So yesterday i was driving along down at shellharbour and i start hearing this clunking noise up front when i'm taking off, and like something was rolling around.. Anyway i was pretty worried so i pulled over to check things out.. Turns out that my filter has fallen off the CAI and also fallen to bits!!! Its a Hurricane EXS filter, where you can exchange the insert with a "racing mesh" insert etc, its held on by a nut/screw thing and i can only assume this came loose causing the filter to fall apart.. Oh and yes i know i shouldn't really be using the clamp thats holding the filter(probably problem #2), its held up for the last 8 months but i suppose i'll change it now.. So i pull apart my car to see this, the filter just sitting there off the intake - thats the lid and the screw/nut thing that go on top of the filter above^^ - and this is a farkin stick that was sitting right next to the filter!!!! I think i am very lucky i hadn't been hitting lift at all yesterday, as i didn't know how long the filter had been off for(i'm hoping only yesterday as it was on when i checked on thursday).. Reckon that stick could've launched itself into the intake if i had've been hitting lift at all? I know its only a little stick but i have NFI what would happen if it got sucked into the engine and i dont wanna know either.. Anyway just thought i'd show you guys what happened to me yesterday. Cheers, Chris

  6. i worry myself taking it over 3,500 when its cold lol...warm your car up before you drive it, or you're gonna start having problems putting all that strain on your motor when its cold!!!
  7. Hey man, Check out this guide on how to polish metal, that should show you hot to polish that inlet Polishing guide here! Cheers, Chris
  8. Hello Kevin, I don't think you'll have much luck here on tocau. Although you can try toymods, search for it, if you can't find a topic then make a post. I guarantee you'll get a few replys over there ToYMoDs Cheers, Chris

  11. Is it just like this? You can find out the specs of your engine on the below link, just look at which year model your car/engine is and you'll have the specs there - LINK Oh and i saw one of those on toymods ages ago going for $5000.. Toymods will probably have more info on it and be able to recommend more mods etc - ToYMoDs Cheers, Chris

  15. they took the farkin gearknob(unless you removed it yourself)!!! pricks man, i seriously hate thieves sooooooooooo much..i'm getting so worried about my car now :( and especially my seats too!!! Did they also key it??? and the wheels, did you have rims and they were stolen, or are they your steelies? im so angry, im going green hahaha
  16. wow man this sucks hardcore!! Its got me thinking now, generally i just park at shopping centres and i never really think about anything getting taken off my car, but now i'll be more cautious where i park. this is why i want to buy one of those proximity sensor alarms(i think thats the right name for it), where say they come into a very close distance from the car and the alarm will go off before they even touch the car...i dont care how many cars park next to me and it goes off at them too, as long as my car will be safe lol.. and yes, i do know that some really good car theifs can stop alarms going off real quick, although in the middle of a busy shopping centre, i'm sure they're not gonna smash the window, pop the hood and then smash the siren..not when there will be people around looking at them lol
  17. my car does the whole not wanting to go into 2nd crunching crap sometimes..although that is when i'm changing gears lazily and not thinking about the change..if i think about the change, not push it so far to the left, and just gently slot it into 2nd, it'll go in no problems, and i'll still land in lift, and it will be just as quick as the change you're trying to get when it wont go in.
  18. hey gomer, try www.toymods.net/forums do a search, toymods has a ****load of people with 82 rollas.. cheers, chris
