  1. There's just no way you would get a good car with $500 I bought a KE30 Corolla for $500 and all I had to do was put oil, petrol and water in it for a couple of years. I still see it driving around. I mean it had a sticker on the back window saying 'UBER-LANDBOAT' but it was happy doing 110 on the freeway all the time. My first car was a KE70 corolla. It had about 250,000 on the clock, and it ran perfectly. Started fine everytime. The only things i spent money on were tyres, oil and fuel. And it copped a ****load of abuse too... like once i didn't change the oil for like 20,000 and it still runs well now - Its still in the family.. If there were any car i would suggest for a first car, it'd have to be a KE corolla... lol, but you've got alot more of a choice of cars with the money you're willing to spend
  2. Pretty sure it's illegal to remove airbags. that is correct. Its like if you want to change your steering wheel to something else in a later model car - you can't unless the other steering wheel has an airbag too
  3. No offence, but don't get that on you man. My mate has the kangaroo on him, and i've seen ****loads of people with the boxing roo.. Go for something no-one else has done yet
  4. i believe in the service manual, a spark plug change is recommended at 100,000km's (that is of the ones already in there - iridium tipped or whatever)
  5. lol is that HAT3IT in your avatar? or different dave?
  6. Agreed!! Put it back up! Yeah put it back up...i want to see too myspaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace! Sketra also has a bf, so he probably wouldn't like the harassment she's getting for photos .. Only spoken to sketra on msn a few times, but she's a top bloke(or chick, for those who don't get jokes) :) EDIT - oh, and is it just me, or has there just been more random spam threads popping up lately? i.e who left note on my car etc..... ahhh well
  7. buh bow You're going to have to take me off the list, on account of farkin bills!!! Massive phone bill came in today $200!!!!!!!!! So there goes the money i planned to use for this weekend :( There's always something standing in my way!! Arrgh time to save save save, so the next opportunity won't be bastardised by bills!!!
  8. weeeeeeeeeeeeelll i went to a private school, and i'd have to say its alot better than the public school i went to after it.. After leaving school, i realised that, hey, maybe having stricter rules/teachers etc wasn't such a bad idea.. I was a good kid at the private school, then in yr11 at the public school, things went downhill, being that if you weren't in the top 2 classes out of the 5-6 classes, you couldn't pay attention cause everyone was mucking around constantly etc. I also never once saw any cigarettes or drugs at the private school.. First week at the public school i had seen kids smoking everywhere, smoking pot at lunch and recess, and i even saw some girls bring SPEED into school and use it at school.. That is why i left after year 11.. Public schools ARE good if you can get into the higher classes.. If not, i reckon don't waste your time.. When i have kids, i will most definitely spend the big bucks, for a better quality of education..
  9. lol, yeah i'd imagine the pfc would probably do that hehe. I'm just sorting my money situation out now.. i really need to get brake pads, i might be able to scrape through the wknd without them.. Servicing my car this sunday with oil and filter :) So i'll try fit the brakes in on the weekend, or during the week sometime
  10. hehe, im a sparky, although not qualified so i can't legally help you out /useless post
  11. red facelift with wheels, today around 3.50pm on reservoir rd blacktown, i beeped and waved.
  12. lol i should be under boy racer, i've never hit the track before! :( oh, and the only mods i have is a CAI, king spring superlows and some decent tyres - bridgestone RE001 potenza adrenalins Sooo handling might not be that great, but it will be good to have something to compare to when i add some *real* suspension mods.
  13. hmmmmmm.... Well i've been pretty keen to hit the track but haven't been able to take work off.. Put me down for 90% in, seeing as im supposed to be saving money for a holiday with the missus in may..but that can wait possibly :P time to spend some money on myself i think!
  14. I regularly get over 650km to a tank every week. 100k's on the freeway everyday at 100km/h. Just the other week i reached 700km, but i reckon i only had like 4-5 litres left in the tank(had to go searching for 98!!!!!). And i do hit it quite a bit, practically lift about 2 times a day. This is all on Caltex Vortex 98
  15. well i wish it would farkin pop up for sale!! I reckon its hot as!
  16. "2) P-Plate driver - Used 14.28L - Trip cost $20.99. Save $4.00 per quarter tank or $16.00 per tank of fuel compared to aggressive driver." I like how they use a p-plater driver to test a vehicle... Not all p-platers drive like idiots.......
  17. I believe liverpool exhaust have done heaps of sportivos and have even produced extractors/headers i think, so i bet they would most likely say 2.5" as they are pretty good at what they do..or so their reputation seems anyway
  18. have you posted a topic on www.toymods.net/forums? thousands of old school toyota enthusiasts, quite a few with 3TGTE's, they might be able to help you there! Cheers
  19. Damn straight! it's 4:30am on the M5 down past Narellan rd. hahahaha jks I'd be careful doing that these days. There is a certain purple VE SS that i see pretty frequently on that stretch of the M5, and half the time he has someone pulled over! ;) Edit - Not that im saying you would do that! lol
  20. would be very interested in this hehe...ever tried using torrents before?
  21. saw bill today in the blue bombshell, passing seven hills highschool. I was coming the other direction but didn't realise it was you till it was too late, was gonna beep lol
  22. Yeah i had the selector cables replaced at around 25,000 and the cars just passed 60,000 and i haven't had the noise yet.. I sometimes hear a rattle like every couple of weeks that sounds like the shifter cable rattle but it goes away really quickly
  23. The guys above me are probably right.. But maybe you should consult a lawyer first? just call a few law firms and see what they can tell you over the phone. I they tell you what the guys above have said then go tell toyota to get stuffed!
  24. thats so farkin sexy!!! I'm pretty sure you're right bill.. Its like with the R35 GTR that has been approved for import, i'm pretty sure it has to go through crash testing and a few other things before it can be complianced, so i don't see why it wouldn't be the same with this..
