  4. OK No problem, I'll keep you posted in a few weeks time.
  5. NO problem, I seen this in the Workshop and Maintenance section : it for Fuel Filter for the Corolla Sportivo with the 2zz-ge engines, look exactly the expect the electrical connection! au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/32035-diy-changing-in-tank-fuel-filter/ Plus I think my battery might be the problem as it is the 2nd battery so far, and the car 10 years old this November, anyway the battery have 12.4 volts without the engine started. It is a GEL battery and Green in colour in the sight glass which means is good. I will change the fuel filter and it is due, and if No luck with starting properly, I 'll change battery.
  6. OK find what gasket and o-ring to get. Gasket 77159-33020 O-ring 90301-07020, 23300-0D030 As 23300-0D030 is mention from Ebay Ryde Toyota.
  7. These 2 type of fuel filters for sale with one to get? 1 cost $80.00 The other called: Wesfilter WFC22 and only cost $33.00, what do you get with the cheaper one, does it come with new o-rings? As my car 2006 model is doing the some symptom, very hard to start in the morning after not driving the car for a few day's. I know I need to change the fuel filter, as I've not change it yet, my fault, but the car only travelled 70,000 on the clock.
  8. OK Hi everyone, Been busy make this for everyone who want to know the best replacement Spark Plugs to get, I've base the first 8 choices on, 1./ Total Rating 2./ Meets OE Requirements 3./ Cost 4./ Delivery Probably can add to "The TOCAU Aurion FAQ" https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0JOiLVIoLJ6eDhhZl9uclI3dUk/view
  9. So you when into your dealership and complain the dash is melting? Which dealership please? Who authorised the replacement Dealership or Toyota head office? As I need to explain to Toyota they did your car, why not mind.
  10. I was looking at getting one from the wrecking yard, but decide to wait now, after reading this thread. I can get a second hand dash from a wrecking yard over at Fairfield, they said it has a few marks on it, so I said No thanks. I've not been to the Toyota Dealer yet, so I don't if they are available. Thanks for the heads up on the airbags and disconnecting the battery, plus you don't need to remove the steering wheel all you need to is drop the 4 bolts to steering shaft, which lowers the steering wheel out of the way.
  11. Can we PLEASE keep reposting these photo's if not remove and delete this post, as it a waste of time look ALL MEMBER'S here TO find the photo's do not work? Please reply on this matter the moderator or owner of this section? Drew
  12. Hi Longreach, I feel for you mate, what a job in removing the dash. Gee's that a mess, and I'm electrician by trade 240 volts not Auto Electrician. Do you have any photo's of dash itself, as I can post photo's of mind as it falling to pieces at the touch of my hand? been covered for the last 9 years with dash mat from new. If it a hard job to removing the dash? ( my concern is the 2 air bags) I was going to bit the bullet and order a new dash, (install it myself as I got plenty of time and probably do a better job that Toyota service mechanic) as my car is in excellent condition apart from this, and what Helen said great Mechanical engine and drive train. I also change my oil and oil filter every 5000 kilometres, I know it is a bit of and over kill, so what I look after my car's properly. hope to hear back from you. Cheers Drew
  13. OK I've fixed picture links, I think we have 30 seconds to complete the cycle of disabling the Traction Control. Anyway I think the hardest part will be will soldering the internal links within the rotary switch so the common rotary over the link between the positions. Drew
  14. Does your nav unit look like this below, if so then you've the Factory Navigation unit.
  15. OK I made up a circuit to apply the traction control in a matter of turn a rotary switch from 1 to 11 which can activate the traction control, then back to OFF in position 12. Still need to test it guy's so this is a DRAFT. So if I've done any wiring mistake please let me know.
  16. Yes there a manual to factory Toyota SATNAV not after market. I v'e the book but it is in A5 formatted and only in hard copy. What do you want to know? Drew
  17. Count me HelenC. Mind the same 11/2006 I've a dash mat over it from day one from purchase, and it still has melted, anyway with the dash mat covered it, I don't have to look at the mess. To replace dash with a second hand one from the wrecking yard you'll be looking around the $250.00, don't know what year the dash is from, so I still can have the same fault as the first dash. I was thinking of doing this but, a little unsure how to REMOVE the dash without the air bags going off. So I'm just living with the dash mat covering a stick dash and hope no more bits fall off it. Drew
  18. My dash has done the same 2006 Nov model, you just touch the dash and it start to fall apart, have chip some corners off the dash around the Nav unit, done it while removal of Nav unit for repair. Thinking for looking for 2010 model from the wrecker, would be alot cheaper than paying Toyota $1060.00. Anyway it has a dash mat over it all this time, so you cannot see the problem unless you know. I'm sure I've not cleaned it in anyway over the last 8 years this month. Does anyone tell what year my model dash go too? 2010 or more?
  19. Nice little program to work you gear ratio's. http://locost7.info/gearcalc.php if anyone interested can be use for all different cars. Here the ratio for Toyota Aurion: Gear Ratio: 1st 3.300:1 2nd 1.900:1 3rd 1.420:1 4th 1.000:1 5th 0.713:1 6th 0.608:1 Diff ratio: 3.685:1 If you modified the GearCalc.ini with the above info it will open like this all the time, and by the way 6200rpm limit and maximum power. 20. Right I found the Blower unit fan wiring diagram under A/C pdf page 386 there appears to be no noise suppression on this circuit. Look like I've answered my own question, I will now add a noise suppressor to the nav unit circuit.
  21. It has only just start a few weeks ago, I've the Navigation unit/ Radio, and I'm get the blower unit fan noise through the radio? If I turn of the blower the noise stop. I'm looking under the electrical drawing and cannot see any noise suppressor? Also I cannot find the blower unit fan circuit is this under Air Conditioning in the Electrical? Can anyone tell me is this one in the radio circuit, as I cannot find it, or I need to put a noise suppressor on the blower unit fan. Cheers Drew
  22. Your picture? YES "prodigy 07" they are mind, mate. Thanks you Anthony in saying thanks now, as I did the ground work in working what does what, including pictures! Cheers Drew
