  1. Just headlight covers with some well placed paint as far as I know. Cheers JC
  2. Guys I know this may come out of left field, but has anyone tried tuning these things without a MAF? I currently have a VY SS ute, which has been tuned MAF-less (maf removed) via accessing the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. This tuning method has proven itself time and time again to extract more power than a MAF based setup. I know its drawing a long bow, but if there is a problem with MAF's once you start changing CAI etc, I wonder if it could be tuned MAFless instead? Food for thought anyway. JC
  3. Hey team, Sorry if this is in the wrong spot (feel free to move mr mod), but I have just posted some pics of Brendan's stivo (the car that sold me on the stivo). http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/gallery/au?page=62 Clicky linky Cheers JC
  4. Nice, but see if you can get the "US" Style one, which has no dot in between the letters and numbers. Cheers JC
  5. The exhaust in question was done at Custom Exhaust Specialists @ Meadowbrook. its a custom pipe from the cat back, with a few little tricks in there, I just have to get this man computer literate, and he might post more often and give us an idea of what they changed. :D I will see if I can get ahold of his dyno sheet too. Kinda weird really, but I suppose, I have seen some really massive differences in stock LS1 engine outputs (up to 30rwkw variance) so I suppose 92-105kw is a good range for the stock engine. Very interesting also, that he added a metal conditioner (roil) to his oil, and picked up 2 or 3 kw I think it was (have seen 8rwkw gain on a stock monaro too). There was a slight dip or two low in the rev range also, and they are now gone. Its funny how I decided to buy a rolla for economy's sake, and here I am modding the thing before I have even signed on the dotted line. Looks like its time to order me a Stivo, jesus, Im calling it that already. JC
  6. Cheers again for the input guys. Just curious about the exhaust comments here. Have any of you guys had a dyno power run while you were still stock? The guy whos stivo I drove last weekend pulled 97kw at the wheels stock, and its now 109kw after the custom stainless system (cat back) and a K&N filter. Dyno runs were in shootout mode, on a DD dyno. Is this unusual? Sorry for the continual questions, im just used to my Ute which gained 25rwkw with exhaust and another 40rwkw with a computer tune, hee hee. Btw, found the TRD website, and I think I have just spent my next 6 months wages on mods already (in my head at least). Cheers JC
  7. Thanks for your input so far guys. I am 99.9% sure that I will run with a Sportivo, apparently the new shape is available early Jan, so I will probably wait until then. Is there any options on them that any of you recommend I get or stay clear of? I will be lowering it, installing an aftermarket cat back pipe (custom stainless), a decent air filter (CAI later on) and either 17 or 18" rims. Cheers JC
  8. Hey Guys, Im thinking of purchasing a Sportivo, and have plenty of time to think about it because they cant deliver a new one (new shape) until January apparently. Just looking for general opinions, are you happy with your sportivo? My current car is a Holden VY SS Ute (coupla mods), but I simply cant justify the expense I incur driving it every day. Cheers JC
