  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beating_a_dead_horse In American English, "beating a dead horse" is an idiom which is most often used as a retort to make clear that a particular request or line of conversation is already foreclosed, mooted, or otherwise resolved. In Australian English and British English, the phrase is more usually rendered as "flogging a dead horse".

  6. Mini Cooper S, Dodge Viper, Pagani Zonda, Ford GT and however many other awesome cars run pipes in the middle, hardly rice. I think twins hanging out the back of a corolla with the rear skirt would look great. JC
  7. Congrats on the new muffler mate. Nothing better than a new mod that your happy with, enjoy!! This BB's garage place seems to have quite a following here for a place that doesn't advertise on the forum. Maybe we should talk to them about becoming a sponsor? Did you get a before and after dyno from them by any chance? Cheers JC
  8. Wouldn't you need to be using something other than the stock crank if you were to stroke this motor? Looks like the stock crank has been cleaned up and polished/balanced etc, but its still the stock crank isnt it? Love your work Billy, cant wait to see this thing finished. JC

  11. I was under the impression that "original parts" from a certain place were what we would refer to as "custom" parts. Or specifically modified for a certain car/model etc. Not 100% sure, so correct me if I am wrong guys. JC
  12. Couldn't have said it better myself mate. I really dont know what to say right now. This is a huge loss for Australian Motorsport and Australia in general. Sky News have received confirmation from WA police that Peter has been killed and his co driver seriously injured.
  13. Happy Birthday mate. Hope you have a great day. JC
  14. Mate, your best bet is to actually remove the accelerator pedal and work on it on a bench. Its not so hard to remove/replace, and having it out of the car will help a great deal in figuring out how to remove the old pin. Due to your pedals not being Toyota items, the pedal may need some modification, but you wont really be able to tell unless you have removed the pedal. Cheers JC
  15. Hopefully long enough for me to afford some decent splits for you to install eh pappa? :D JC Count me in, but next time maybe we park the car on the driveway so we have ventilation when the farting starts....or you could come out here to my place, mmmmm double garage...mmmmm :P Its a date. I will bring the spaghetti. :D JC

  17. That thing is making as much power as a stocker BEFORE lift. Holy McDooley. Cant wait for stage 2 mate, looks like this one might end up being a bit of a weapon. JC
  18. Question: What is a moderator for if this **** is still here? Thread title: How to DIY install extractors on 2zz? That is all.
  19. [sits back and grabs the popcorn] Looks like the show is on again.
  20. Yes, there is a loom that runs along the passenger side with the black and yellow wires in there. Be careful though and make sure you have a circuit tester to check that they are in fact the speaker wires, as there are 2 sets of black and yellows in there. I didnt do the drivers side (pappa guiseppi did that side), but if you have the wiring diagram (do a search and you should find it on here), you should be able to locate the correct wires. JC
  21. The stock unit has NO RCA's. Correct. If your going to splice into the rear wires, your best bet is under the sill scuff panel, this will allow you to run the wires straight into your amp under the passenger or drivers seat. No need to get the door card off. Beware if you have a facelift model, as we found that although the wiring colours according to the diagram were correct, they were coming from different pins in the plug when compared to the wiring diagram on this site. Hope this helps. JC
  22. I did this on the weekend with the help of Pappa Guiseppi (Azza, king of fixing the spaghetti :D ). Power cable was run exactly where it is in that pic above. The amp is under the passenger seat so power runs down the passenger side under the scuff panel. Im running both front and rear speaker cables into the amp (as it has hi level input). At the moment its just amping the stock speakers, but in the next week or so I will be disconnecting the rear speakers to run a sub. Stock fronts sound great amped, its just a matter of how long they will last. JC
