  1. I ended up getting those front Kluger 2009 model calipers in good condition from Pick 'N' Pay Less in Blacktown for $40 each - an absolute steal. The calipers are the most difficult parts as the pads and rotors are essentially consumables available from lots of manufacturers.
  2. I did see your post here about suede on the doors and thought it could work rather well in the parts of the door that on the ATX and Touring models are fabric and are leather on the Prodigy and Presara models. Would be a decent improvement on my Touring model doors.
  3. It is simply a matter of sliding off the air con controls from the bottom of the radio when both parts have been removed from the centre console, and plug and play to replace. Just don't swap an ATX or SX6 unit from one belonging to a Touring, ZR6, Prodigy or Presara and vice versa unless you're prepared for a lot of work that really isn't worth the effort.
  4. Joined the Kluger brakes on the Aurion club today. Before: After: The rear brakes will similarly be painted red early next week.
  5. That's an option but I don't think it'll cling to the corrugated surface of the air con controller underneath the clear plastic front. If it can be done then I'd be happy to give it a go. Nah I've got the seat far enough back and I'm not particularly tall anyway. There's about a 1-2 cm gap between my knee and the radio remote unit typically.
  6. Yeah it's Monday night and I got a bit bored and decided to do a few mock ups in a photo editor. The main aim is to make the newer sat nav unit fit in a bit better with the rest. Anyone have thoughts on the mock up and/or any suggested paints to do so? Current: Edited:
  7. If you're referring to the current generation Hilux, Yaris, 86, Corolla, etc, then yes, with some work. Details of my setup in this thread: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/45466-replace-2011-aurion-touring-steering-wheel-with-one-from-zr6-sportivo/#entry535290 Current gen Aurion however, I doubt it as it has a totally different shape and I have no idea about the wiring.
  8. Newbie question here... Is it the Maccas opposite Bunnings or the other one further up?
  9. I don't think they'd even fit in the wheel wells. If they do, good luck steering!
  10. Just get a Holden Monaro and call it the new Toyota Lexcen. :D
  11. CONROD, any chance that the other Aurion models without the heated mirrors already have most of the required wiring?
  12. I'll second that. Wouldn't mind doing a similar mod to my Aurion, especially at this time of the year. I think certain Aurions like the ZR6 and the Presara had this feature stock. It may just be a matter of getting the parts and plugging them in.
  13. Isn't the Aurion White LE a souped up Prodigy with some of the Sportivo body kit? If yes, I would assume it does.
  14. Those TRD wheels are certainly more rare to find!
  15. I think the spokes on the 5-spoke Kluger wheels are a bit, uhh how to say it, fatter.
  16. I've never noticed any change in height over time, and that's only with stock height and suspension.
  17. Here are some day time photos that better show the new 245/40/R19 Kumho KU39 tyres on the Aurion:
  18. They were $320 each at Kmart Tyre and Auto Mount Druitt, and I know that's rather pricey but it was the only place close enough to work at the time. I needed new tyres rather urgently because one of the four generic rubbish tyres was starting to bulge after sitting idle over the long weekend and I intended on replacing all at a different size as soon as any needed replacing.
  19. It's rather difficult getting decent photos of the KU39 tyres at night after work but here are some. I'll try get some better ones this weekend during the day.
  20. I'll get some pics this weekend. I gotta say the aesthetic difference going from 245/35/R19 to 245/40/R19 is pretty significant up close to the car. Looks and rides much better now.
  21. I just got a set of Kumho KU39 tyres in 245/40/R19 installed on my Aurion with Kluger gen 2, 10 spoke, 19" alloys (old pic here) and the speedo is now pretty much right on in terms of speed reported vs. actual speed (based on the Toyota sat nav). Much more accurate compared to the rubbish 245/35/R19 generic tyres I had previously, and likely more accurate than the stock 215/55/R17 setup. The sat nav only reports excessive speed on the M4 on a 100 km/h section if the speedo is at about 102 km/h. Pretty happy with the end result.
