  1. Btw dont bother with the sports grille from Ignition-x... the paint quality is absolutely appalling (eyelids too)
  2. Yer... I would definetly go to another.. The guys at NT performance were great.. Hopefully next dyno day ill bring my electric orange XR5 Turbo :)
  3. Yer thanks to the astra boys for coming... we apologise for Bill.. pass that on :) And we do understand the tech issues with their cars... so rest assured no respect lost for the astra turbos
  4. well i will place my stock muffler back on and then go for another Dyno... just to see the Difference.. btw.. could everyone list what fuel they were running.. and be honest if you added a little something to spice it up :) I was on Boost 98 (10%) Ethanol i want to try stock muffler with boost petrol.. and then stock muffler with BP ultimate.. only then will i be happy :)
  5. I definitely subscribe to this theory as well. I think that the more run-in Sportivos performed better as well. I guess it's got to do with the ECU learning how you drive as well. ← Exactly my theory.. a daily diet of Lift.. and hitting lift in 4th on the way to the dyno day.. :) p.s. so everyone knows... ill be going back to my stock muffler.. the car is plenty loud enough with Just the CAI.. as E-genes car proved yesterday.. p.p.s The Holden.. umm i mean Opel guys didnt seem to hang around us? perhaps we smell? p.p.p.s Bill where'd you get those valve caps? 3KW atw each yer?
  6. Dammit 5th!... congrats BanGn.. seems ill have to revert to stock muffler.. seems to be the way to go.. special prize goes to Mike.. for the loudest Stivo of the day.. almost won that one too :(
  7. Hows about the Ford Focus XR5.. 5 cyllinder 2.5l turbo 166kw 320nm tourque mmmmm only $35K too
  8. im feeling pretty good about my cars power... after a recent run in with a VZ SS V8 (260kw) i believe... muhahahahaha only those at the dyno day will find out how i fared :)
  9. Welcome... make sure you fill in your location too... so we can invite you out to meets etc :P
  10. yep sorry e-gene.. you're the only one:) the only thing that looks horrid to me is the price tag :( oh well.. i can dream :P
  11. New Astra Turbo coupe is coming in december/janurary priced at $35K so i cant imagine the VXR being any cheaper than say $40K but being HSV.... $45K
  12. well im 23 rating 1 Levin = $1200 a year Sportivo = $1000 a year its all to do with how many of them are on the road.. more levins are involved in accidents than sportivos.. hence a higher risk, higher premium this is with aami btw
  13. Yeah, Mate works at Toyota, They put them on as a joke one day. ( I was tossing between a levin and stivo when i made the purchase.) Insurance was the only thing that made my mind. ← ummmm believe it or not.... insurance is cheaper on the sportivo :P
  14. I thought we had a maximum of 30 cars? Corollas take preference i assume :P any places close by to take some happy snaps? this could quite possibly be the biggest meet we've had in quite a while
  15. awesome vids... car sounds good.. now listen to mine :P http://members.optusnet.com.au/marspods/runx.wmv
  16. I rekon first in best dressed.... as people show up put a number beside there name lucio.... kinda unfair if someone rocks up 2 hours after you and goes on the dyno before you
  17. not really shocked by that document... i knew i wasnt going crazy... my car seemed to pull alot harder with the 98Ron ethanol blend i filled up with... Ethanol for me from now on :P
  18. its all to do with air pressure... and perfectly normal there is a fix for it though.. press the button near the power windows to disable their windows.. so only yours can go up and down :P
  19. and once again we avoid answering my claim *damn quick editing* alright.. thank you... it just sounded like you were belittling people who dont have the CES
  20. and again? So am i not a GENUINE corolla enthusiast? merely as i cant afford a CES system? ← save.... im a full time student that works 2 days a week for a meazily 150 cash.. so pffffffft.. ← thats not the point im trying to make... cost isnt an issue... just the general attitude of not being serious about my car purely because i am in no way interested in the CES system p.s. if you wanna talk about how much you earn and saving... ffs try being an apprentice, working 40hrs a week and bringing home $180... (thank *** im past all that now)
  21. and again? So am i not a GENUINE corolla enthusiast? merely as i cant afford a CES system?
  22. performance is for some not for others, its the only off the shelf system that has been proven time and time again. Choice is up to you. ← i have no doubts that the CES may be a great system... but im really starting to hate how its implied, that people who dont have one arent serious about performance.. or enthusiasts.. Some people dont even make what the CES costs in a fortnight not everyone has fat wallets.. doesnt make them any less of a corolla enthusiast!
  23. are you being sarcastic or not? really not sure because weight wont make any difference to a dyno figure... does it? as long as your subbies arent turned on..
  24. seriously guys.. invest in one :) for a basic one you're looking at $50 throw in a few spirit levels and you're looking at $90-$100
  25. Northy.. just letting you know.. Your stivo is one of the nicest i have seen.. absolute sex mate.. i just wish i had the money to get mine looking as nice as yours
