  1. bulleen... holy crap thats 2.3Kms from my house... :P no wonder i still only have 12,000ks on my car ill have to do a few laps around the block to warm my engine up :)
  2. Im working on getting the Z Badge... my grille actually has a little slot to put it in :) i asked about these emblems for the back... seems they dont exist
  3. Yer the badge just clips in (needs to be removed from behind the grille though)... so im sure there's a way to put a toyota one in :)
  4. Its the limited edtion JDM RUNX Z Aerotourer Grille Not many in Australia :) shhhhh dont tell everyone I cant help that i wanted it on straight away :P
  5. I sent that guy an email enquiring about the same thing and at first he replied offering me $150 for the eyelids and grill, to which I replied saying I was interested and would buy them the following day. He then got back to me via email saying that he'd offer me a special deal of $250 for eyelids and grill (seemingly forgetting the first offer of $150), and when I questioned him about the $100 price increase, he replied with all sorts of excuses and justifications. Now I don't disagree that the eyelids and grill are worth $250, but he shouldn't have offered me the initial price in the first place to try and bait me into a sale. It was all in writing, so I'm not sure what he was trying to achieve. But certainly don't hand your money over to this guy unless it's face-to-face and he's got the items in front of you. ← He obviously got mixed up.. theres no way you'd get the eyelids and grille for $150... absolutely no way.. Ive met JDMRUNX now.. and would have no issues in dealing with him again :) so strike me previous comments.. JDMRUNX is ok by me :)
  6. Got my new Grille today.. :) must say I AM IN LOVE
  7. yes, i've heard that the ppl that they use for paintwork used to suck heaps. i think they've changed that now. ← Well i only bought mine 2 weeks ago... but i sure hope they have
  8. Yes i saw that northy... except that thread is only for emails you have written to Toyota... There is currently no thread regarding common problems and there fixes... we need one that lists the problem and fixes with no commenting... Just simply a list what the problem was and how it was fixed.. p.s. Eddy.. my car is cascade blue and every time i get a chip it's white underneath.. so im not sure if it's just your car... perhaps one day while driving we will meet and ill check it out :P
  9. Just thinking perhaps we should have a sticky with all the issues that people have had.. and what the problem was.. So if people have similar issues they have at least something to go on I recently had a nasty metal scraping noise when my car was under load.. or near the stall point..(when taking off from a standstill slowly etc) Toyota blamed my aftermarket exhaust.. I removed it and the noise was still there.. *suprise suprise* Anyway.. turns out it was the Drive belt tensioner.. I asked if it was a common problem and they said it had never happened before.. which is why it took so long to diagnose (2 days)
  10. Dont bother getting ignition-x to paint your eyelids... they do an appaling job eyelids are great... just get them painted yourself
  11. Hmmmmm perhaps i need to invest in some power inverters :) *pictures rolling up in the stivo chucking speakers out and flicking on the projector* GOLD CLASS ANYWHERE
  12. well sure... its no heavy weight... perhaps i could organise six midgets to sit in the boot and weigh it down for me... Most midgets in the boot p.s. everyone in the country flashes me too thinking my lights are on High-beam... a quick flash of the real high beam fixes that though :P
  13. Well i bit the bullet and went with ignition-X.. Paint job on the eyelids and grille is extremely sub-standard... i should have had them painted myself.. Definetly wont be buying from Ignition-X again Grille doesnt fit very well either... really had to use some force to get it to sit right
  14. ummm how about best home mobile home theatre in the back of the stivo... going for a holiday to my dads.. from Melbourne to kiewa valley.. i had Hitachi PJ TX-100 Home theatre projector.. Logitech Z5500 speakers (dolby digital DTS etc) 2.5metre screen Xbox Computer as well and more movies than you can count :P
  15. There is no way in hell i will be taking my sportivo to toyota for servicing... Im quite prepared to pay premiums for servicing... but id prefer my local mechanic.. at least i know the work i pay for is actually getting done.. p.s. Dont take you toyota to Cannon Toyota in Heidelberg... a bunch of trained monkeys would do a better job..
  16. sorry but it has to be said.. that kinda car with only 3rd party is just stupid.. Im sorry to hear about his loss.. but i highly doubt you will see the car again perhaps he has learnt his lesson..
  17. The simota kit in the sticky has gone up in price.. its $195 now.. The simota has a smaller diameter pipe.. so at a guess it would have less airflow
  18. crawling thru traffic you shouldnt be in 1st anyway... you should only be shifting into first if you are at a complete standstill... you will find the car pulls away fine in 2nd... as long as you have some momentum and yes... im pretty sure all sportivos do the sticky first gear thing.. and i would dare say you are wearing the syncros by forcing it into 1st... (i think.. feel free to correct me)
  19. Once decks can take a USB dongle and play files off that .... then it will be impressive ← Well start getting impressed... Because they already exsist :)
  20. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, leave bird poo on your car.. EVER! polishing and waxing should remove the marks.. but as silvabullit has mentioned.. it has damaged your paint permanently
  21. Mine was exactly the same... couldnt shift from 1-2 above 6000rpm.. clutch adjusted... no more problems.. perfect shifting everytime.. except when i get lazy and let the clutch out too soon... CRUNCH
  22. would also like to know the same... is your noise just at the engine stall point? when taking off? I took mine into toyota.. they had it from 7:30am till 5:30pm.. said they adjusted the exhaust somehow? no idea how.. also blamed the fact that i had an aftermarket muffler.. They said it causes more vibration than the stock muffler... Noise is still there though.. maybe a little less dramatic now.. If i can find where its rubbing ill fix it myself... either that or bye bye muffler :(
  23. Only if you want it to be :P
  24. I would be very interested in the 3 cable tie fix... My gear selector cables were replaced and that fixed the noise... for about 2 weeks :( Now everytime i hit lift.. it returns to haunt me as well
  25. Hey Carlo, let's do our calipers together. We can share the paint and do it together. More motivation to do it that way. ← Id be up for a melbourne caliper painting session too B)
