  1. He isnt talking about the ECU and airbox. My car was purchased in the last 6 months and while it did have the New ecu and airbox.. the gear selector cables werent done..
  2. I bought my sportivo new after the recall work had been done.. and no the Gear selector cables hadnt been done.. I had shifting problems and rattling in the dash above 5k.. Has now been back to toyota and had the clutch, pressure plate and gear selector cables replaced.. Master cylinder also fixed... Shifts nice and smooth now.. still rattles but only occasainly (sp?)...
  3. ummmm did anyone else notice.. Thats an "AUTO" Sportivo.. wtf!
  4. congrats mate.. I rekon the single best thing about owning a stivo is the lack of respect we get :) now i know that may sound weird but its actually good.. cops dont treat you as a hoon and the look on the face of some people when you absolutely murder them :D
  5. With pure city driving.. No freeways or anything i get about 450ks from a 60Lt tank Blue Sportivos go faster though :D
  6. you know... you are so right. it's not on there at all. i even checked the south african one (sportivos are build there)... and still nothing! very weird ← its on the south africa site.. Its called the RUNX RSI no side skirts though
  7. My brother has the SP23.. he doesnt want to drag the sportivo anymore :) The SP23 does have a nice power delivery.. but the Stivo is still quicker.. and the specs for the Stivo 0-100 in 8.4? is that with grandma driving? p.s. The stivo kicks the **** throught he sp23 in twisties as well Its all about how you use the power.. not how much you have gotta love sitting in the 5-6000 rpm rev range and flooring it :)
  8. Well i took my car into toyota today.. Making a squeeling noise when there is no pressure on the clutch pedal.. (idling) Im having gear selector cables raplaced, Clutch adjustment, and new pressure plate (uneven fingers apparently) to my shock the service guy actually knew about the clutch adjustment they are going to call me once all the parts are in.. going to need my car for 2 days :( But hopefully once i get it back it will be all fixed and like brand new! it helped alot with all the info you guys have shared regarding clutch adjustments and selector cables etc :) so thanks everyone
  9. Do you know the brand new Stivo 2005 i took for only 30k?? ← Do you know what 'Sarcasm' is? ← Do you know what 'Value' is? ← Dude whatever your smoking.. stop it.. your scaring me
  10. Do you know the brand new Stivo 2005 i took for only 30k?? ← Do you know what 'Sarcasm' is?
  11. I would also be very interested in this CAI if its only $210.. although im in Melbourne so it might be hard to get.. and install Anyone in Melbourne want to help me install?
  12. Pity this isn't in a Corolla Sportivo thought - looks very much to me like a Carmy Sportivo. I'd say dude that they must be custom.... never seen or heard about them before ← it cant be a corolla sportivo *looks at transmission* thats a camry sportivo although it would be interesting to see if the Camry ones fit the corolla
  13. hahaha 2 members already have them.. your source isnt too reliable
  14. *Translating* Im interested in installing the CES exhaust system on my sportivo.. But would like to see and hear it before making any decisions.. So does anyone in Melbourne currently have the exhaust installed, I would very much appreciate if we could meet somewhere so i can have a look at it.. Any advice on why i should or shouldn't get it would be appreciated.. Please PM me so we could arrange somewhere to meet Thanks *Translation End* now on to the help.. I dont think anyone in Melbourne currently has the CES system.. its fairly expensive already without shipping.. although worth it apparently
  15. Neither.. both spots look bad.. or perhaps its just the actual sticker design.. i think we need something a little more modern but if i put a sticker on my car it would be on the little window as cougs suggested
  16. i remember reading a story a while ago about a guy who changed the exhaust on his WRX and then his engine blew.. Subaru refused warranty because of the Exhaust
  17. Problem is.. wouldnt that mean if you had the CAI and Exhaust.. and your engine went boom. they could void you warranty? As the exhaust and CAI change the way your engine breathes? Id love to get a CAI and CES exhaust system right now... however i dont want to void my warranty
  18. So the car is a normal corolla with no performance mods? and lots of shiny bits? all show and no go?
  19. Just thought id let you know that Matrix carwash and cafe on Manningham Road in Bulleen (Melbourne) is good. Had my Car washed and waxed there today.. Paint Protection the whole works :) Looks awesome. RIMS OMG DROOL cost me $59 plus $2.50 for a pretty average Coffee
  20. Depending on the colour of the LEDS they will most likely be illegal.. they look crap as well.. p.s. i realise you didnt ask for my opinion on how they look.. i just wanted to make sure you realised THEY ARE ILLEGAL!
  21. yes 2 days ago in fact.. some stupid ******* decided to change lanes into me.. gave me the big squeeze.. if not for ABS i would plughed straight into his rear passenger door.. However i was expecting him to change lanes anyway.. something i learnt from my Motorbike riding days
  22. congrats.. im positive you will love it.. fairly large christmas gift though :) This clutch news is definetly good news.. I havent had real trouble shifting gears, however it never hurts to check. I will mention the adjustment when i go to have my 10k service.. (6500ks away) Has anyone had any troubles with Cannon Toyota in Heidelberg? the only problem my car has is shifting into 2nd at high rpm is very TIGHT.. but still doable without crunching. Also the clutch is very razors edge.. its either engaged or not.. lots of hopping along pretty much into any gear p.s. where can we get the Toyota Technical News Flash dated 30/11/04?
  23. I think i need to drive a car with this gear problem..luckily i havent had any trouble with high rev shifting yet it sounds extremely annoying.. didnt some people have success with fixing the problem by reaplcing the Flywheel clutch and pressure plate? p.s. ADR Rolla i saw you on Lower Plenty road the other day (i flashed you) :) p.p.s Nice rims :)
  24. well im happy to report that i dont seem to have the High rev shifting problems or any gearbox related problems at all.. so far... have covered nearly 450kms over this past weekend and am still madly in love with my car... ADR rolla ill probably see you around seeing as im in Heidelberg and my GF is in Lower Templestowe..im in a Blue sportivo.. so feel free to give me a toot :) so far ive only seen 2 other sportivos in my travels.. and a sportivo wannabe levin bodykit everyone ive taken for a ride has been utterly shocked that such a small car can have so much power :) its so much fun looking at there faces when they get out of the car.. massive grin ear to ear
