  1. The Mu Secret HID's are actually GT-HID's with their own branding. So it is good stuff! They come in both 6000K and 8000K. What colour temp are you after anyways?
  2. spotted a silver face-lift corolla hatch at strathfield tonight around 10.30-11pm'ish. it had very white/blue headlights. anyone here? don't think it was a sportivo.
  3. spotted sinan's black machinee parked on cumberland road, auburn this morning. verryyy niceeeeeeee!
  4. I've used the E10 fuel @ shell before, wasn't impressed at all. Mileage was worse then normal unleaded.. the car drank the petrol like a can of beer..
  5. I was quoted $340 normal price for the front lip, and quoted a similar price to the skirts you mentioned. cheers superdave..yeah no idea why ive been quoted so much..evn though it has to be shipped from eastern states until i find a cheaper front lip from a dealer i might stick with sides. Nope, the 5xx price is the correct price for a FACELIFT sportivo lip unpainted. the 340 price is for PRE-facelift! ahaha i'm positive! =P
  6. I don't recall having to quote my VIN when purchasing my sportivo front lip. I just went into the parts dept, showed them a pic of a corolla sportivo, circled the parts i wanted, and the guy found the parts in the comp and catalogue, tada! parts was on it's way! =D So may i just suggest to avoid getting the wrong part, or perhaps making a point of which part you're after, bring in a pic of a sportivo! LOL
  7. Yeh one thing i noticed during my countless amount of times going into toyota and making an enquiry about the front skirt for facelift, is that: 1/ when i say "sportivo" front skirt, they end up with the "sportivo" accessory front skirt for the 03 corolla's. 2/ when i finally asked for the 06+ levin front skirt, they were still a bit blank. 3/ on my final try i brang in a picture of a 05 corolla sportivo, and told them it's now on the 06+ levin's, they found it! haha! one parts dept guy even said "corolla sportivo's have a front skirt?"
  8. EDIT: here it is - P/N T08154 12842 (unpainted) got mine last year~ check it out yO! facelift sportivo skirt
  9. Spotted daviboy on harris st, ultimo @ 5.20'ish this arvo. Also spotted another black facelift sportivo with black rims with polished lip, citybound towards anzac bridge.
  10. I've just recently installed a MTEC 5200K HID kit into my car. Installation was a breeze, installed it with a battery relay harness. It's a nice crisp paper white with the teeniest hint of purple, check it out yO! =D
  11. I'm pretty sure I spotted Ic3Man today around 6.30pm on Olympic Drive just passed Lidcombe McDonalds. Spotted the black rear visor, and black rims, very niiiccceeee!!~
  12. I've seen a black one @ bondi. =P
  13. Are you trying to change out your foglights? If you want more light, try get hold of some H9 globes and modify the socket. They'll draw an extra 10W but they produce alot more solid light on the ground. You won't be disappointed! =D
  14. Spotted RO-11-AR (White Facelift Sportivo) tonight near Chester Hill (the big roundabout). Very nice ride dude! =D
  15. are you referring to ps2 or ps1 games in this statement? The limited backwards compatability issue only refers to PS2 games. PS1 games should run flawlessly including classics. At the moment the PS3 will play pretty much all your common PS2 titles and any big PS2 titles. It's only the very rare little games that are hardly played might be glitchy. You can check the PS3 BC list on here. <- The page doesn't appear to be updated though (it seems to only cover up to FW1.80 but we're up to 2.10 atm). i was told that the 40 gig don't play the ps2 games. cause i like the white its so pretty!! The 40GB doesn't play PS2 games. But all the other versions 20GB, 60GB, 80GB do. If you import a NTSC console (any version other then 40GB) from either JP, HK, US, Korea, etc.. it won't be able to play ANY of your PAL PS2 games. But it will play ANY PS3 games just fine. The HK version of the NTSC/J console is the only PS3 capable of NTSC and PAL. It will be able to play PAL media provided the region locking is not there (so either Region 0 PAL or a PAL disc without region locking). This excludes PS2/PS1 media though.

  17. The limited backwards compatability only applies to PAL PS3 consoles and the 80GB NTSC consoles. 60GB NTSC consoles were slightly different to the PAL PS3's as the NTSC 60GB one's had the 'Emotion Engine' a.k.a. EE Chip inside it (the same chip used in the PS2 consoles) while the PAL PS3's didn't. Therefore backwards compatability was limited on all PAL and 80GB NTSC consoles as they relied on emulation to get the PS2 games running. Prior to the release of the 80GB NTSC consoles, all 60GB NTSC consoles had the EE Chip, but Sony decided to cut down on production costs and hence released the 80GB and discontinued the 60GB's. PS1 games will play regardless like JJ said. =P But the limited backwards compatability is not such an issue now as it is improved through every firmware update. Though you might experience some jolts or lag/freezes in some games as in the end it's still emulation. Hope that helps everyone
  18. I think it depends on what you prefer. Family fun or more 'individualised' fun..(<- is that even a word..?) Because the Wii has more games to suit the entire family. E.g. Wii Sports and all the Mario games. While the PS3 has game's like GT5, where they're played more by a single person or vs'ing others online. Though some PS titles are multiplayer capable. A PS3 is also more like an entertainment hub. At the moment, it's capable of playing cds, dvds, divx, browsing online, games, blu-ray etcetc.. So it all comes down to what you want to do with it? =)
  19. I'm pretty sure the PS3 upscales games/movies to 1080p if your running it on a TV capable of 1080i/p. If your TV is a LCD/Plasma but doesn't support the 1920x1080 resolution then the PS3 will only upscale to 720p. And if you're running a standard 4:3 TV then the PS3 will only run in 480p mode. There's a option in the menu's of the PS3 to configure upscaling.
  20. BLU-RAY FTW! GT5 FTW! PS3 FTW! btw does anyone else play GT5 Prologue online?
  21. Ooo Gran Turismo 5 Prologue online is so sweet! Up to 16 players head to head!
  22. Kenneth.

  23. Was in Melbourne for a few days! and on the last day I spotted a white facelift sportivo lowered with dark rims. Turning onto Bell St. Very nice ride =P and also spotted a few other corolla's aswell, all with sportivo rear skirts. =)
